Continuing in the modern trend of movie macho man deconstructionism, we have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson once again playing a snobbish athlete who gets taken down a notch (see: The Game Plan), only this time, he’s an insensitive hockey player known as “The Tooth Fairy” (for breaking teeth, naturally) who is forced to become and ACTUAL Tooth Fairy after he nearly “kills a little girl’s dreams.”
What ensues is the usual adults doing silly stuff onscreen to make kids laugh, and if you’ve been keeping an eye on former famous macho or raunchy men of the last ten years (read: Johnson, Vin Diesel, Eddie Murphy), then you pretty much know where this is headed.

The only even remotely cool thing I see here (for the adults at least) is the whole Jame Bond gadget angle, which could make for a few amusing breaking and entering jokes. Beyond that, this one looks like it’s pretty much going to be a hoot for kids only.
Oh Dwayne Johnson, we salute yet another movie macho man bribed into kiddie flick purgatory…
Tooth Fairy is set to hit theaters on January 22, 2010.

They could have turned it around.
He takes his Macho attitude with and redefines what it means to be a Tooth Fairy ,
or he could have just enjoyed it.
He had some cool toys there .

The Game Plan was funny… he’s come a long way from playing The Scorpian King in my opinion….
Seriously. There’s nothing wrong with playing these goofy roles, but he needs to throw as a bone and do an action film every once and a while.
This guy had sooo much potential, and all we’ve gotten from him is Scorpion King, The Rundown and Walking Tall, none of which were anything more than just okay.
That was probably the single DUMBEST trailer ever… made…

Lame… he’s making some really terrible choices.
It’s all good. Remember all the movies that Aenold did after all the action stuff. The Rock will be fine.
Besides, The Gameplan was funny and had Roselyn Sanchez…
