Walt Disney Pictures will replay footage from Marvel Studios' Avengers: Age of Ultron (in Canada) during the Super Bowl XLIX festivities, but the Mouse House project that will benefit most from its respective game day preview is Tomorrowland. The sci-fi adventure has gained traction amongst cinephiles of late, but awareness within the general public isn't so pronounced by comparison.

Above, we have a teaser for the Tomorrowland Super Bowl trailer [UPDATE: You can now watch the full trailer, featured above]. Similar to the movie's theatrical trailer, the footage here revolves around the discovery of Tomorrowland by young protagonist Casey (Britt Robertson), with the voiceover narration provided by George Clooney - playing Frank, a onetime boy genius who (for reasons that will be revealed during the actual film) grows up to become a brilliant, yet disillusioned and reclusive inventor.

Here is the official synopsis for Tomorrowland:

Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as “Tomorrowland.”

Tomorrowland was co-written/directed by Oscar-winner Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol), armed with a premise and mythology inspired by Disney's Tomorrowland theme park attraction - and engineered by Damon Lindelof (Lost, Prometheus).

This marriage of creative minds - Bird the expert in whiz-bang entertainment and Lindelof's best trait as a storyteller being his ambitious concepts - is shaping up to be a successful one that brings out the best in their respective artistic sensibilities.
