While Marvel fans look forward to some incredible releases this year with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Thor: Ragnarok, and Spider-Man: Homecoming all on the slate for 2017. Many fans are already looking past 2017, though, and toward the next massive multi-team mash-up movie: Avengers: Infinity War.

It was learned last week that production started on the upcoming epic at the end of January, and have since seen Millie Bobbie Brown visit the set, sparking speculation about a potential role for the young actress in the Marvel universe. The movie will bring together a huge range of Marvel characters from across the franchise, as the MCU has to take on the mighty Thanos.

Now, it looks like Spider-Man star Tom Holland may have already finished his work on the movie, as he burns his script in an Instagram video.

The actor posted the short clip earlier today, showing him tossing his Infinity War script into a wood-burning stove. The video is captioned "Rule number one, hand in your script" with a laughing emoji at the end of the sentence. In it, Holland explains that he is burning his script because he forgot to turn it in, and Marvel is very concerned about keeping their plans for the film a secret.

Whether this little clip suggests that Holland is finished filming his scenes for the film, is unclear. The production has only been filming for around three weeks, and although it is known that Holland was on set on day one, and probably won't have a particularly huge role in the movie, this seems like a very short amount of time for him to get all of his scenes in the can. However, this seems to be the most likely explanation for why Holland would have to burn his script -- had he simply taken it off set, he would still be close enough to simply head back and return it.

As well as potentially revealing how small a part Spider-Man will be playing in the Infinity War movie, this little clip really shows just how perfectly Holland fits his role in the MCU. This kind of adorable mistake is just the kind of thing you can imagine Peter Parker doing in the comics. His well-intentioned desire to reassure the production team that there would be no leaks from his mistake is absolutely adorable, providing evidence that yet again, Marvel has absolutely nailed the casting of such an important hero.

It is possible, however, that this does not mean that Holland is done with the production entirely. With filming just getting started, Holland may have simply wrapped one part of his scenes, gone elsewhere to work on other projects (or simply to relax) and will be returning at a later date to continue work on the movie. This would explain why he was unable to simply return the script to set, but still has more to film. If, however, he is already wrapped, this could be a real disappointment to Spidey fans who were hoping for a good-sized role in the film. We'll have to wait until Infinity War comes out in 2018 to know for sure!
