Sorry but Tom Hands does not look right for the role. We need a more dashing, James-Bond type. Maybe Clive Owen, or Bradley Cooper…someone better looking than Hanks.

I’ll wait til it’s on Netflix. I was uninspired to see “Da Vinci Code” in theaters, and after watching it, I was glad I didn’t. I don’t think these sequels will be any different.
Hanks is a great actor, I just never saw him as the Langdon character. He’s just too old.

I have enjoyed both of the Langdon books, so I am looking forward to the new one. I will wait for paperback though, spending $25 on a book is nuts. LOL. I think Hanks is pretty good as Langdon. Not great, but he’s not horrible either. I’m hoping that Angels and Demons is better than The DaVinci Code.

Another Dan Brown book that I feel would make a great movie would be Digital Fortress. I think if A&D makes the big bucks, SOME studio will buy the rights to that book for future development.

Very smart move on the studios part. The new book will be a bestseller before even being released and to keep the franchise fresh and locked up will allow them to get the project going right away and work off the momentum.
