Poor poor…. 2009?

Hey Vic, what do you know about next year? Is the comic-nerd reign going on hiatus for a whole year? I don’t know if I can take not having a comic film for a year– that’s like, like not having a remade movie for two months!

2009 is looking like it’s going to be pretty weak. I’ll know more at the San Diego Comic-Con next month. At least we have Star Trek to look forward to next summer…

I’ll look forward to it when I see Kirk in his dress yellows.

Love the Cap logo, even with “The First Avenger” across the top. 2010 is going to rock for Marvel. I am wondering if Marvel thinks that taking a full year off between movies is going to bring the level of anticipation up, especially for IM 2.

2011 could be an awesome year, especially if in addition to Cap and Avengers, we get a new Batman movie as well….

This is pretty exciting, all of these movies should be huge hits.

I’d love to see an Avengers 2, where at the end of the first Avengers, Cap goes around recruiting Wolverin and Spiderman, the new avengers, etc. (played by Hugh and tobey), lol.

don’t worry that wont ever happen (but i wish it would)

Rob: Yeah, it’d definitely be cool. Best part would be Ben Afflek forced to DENY a role in the sequel– and seeing that would just make me so, so happy.

In light of Jon Favreau’s comments about the time needed to crank out the quality of the first Iron-Man movie, and the absence of a script (has Favreau even agreed to direct IM II yet…seems odd to use the Roman numeral II for a tech savvy character. Well, could’ve been worse, like say “Iron Man 2.0.” Oh yeah, since I’m trivializin’: the ‘I’ of the II doesn’t match the I in ‘Iron’), hopefully Marvel will punt with the date if it looks like hitting that deadline for the sequel looks to sacrifice quality for punctuality.

I guess I did forget… maybe my subconscious is making me forget about a sequel to a movie I couldn’t stand and one from a director who seems to have lost his touch completely.

Snikt, geez… ya know, I’ve been so focused on this year’s movies that I guess I’d better get up to speed on what’s coming out next year. Of course I’m sure I’ll be fully briefed at the San Diego Comic-Con next month. :-)

Love the title designs, they all come straight from the comics themselves!

I had a few question if someone was able to answer them …

Nick fury in IH? … im sure when the movie was being made there was something about Sam Jackson being in it.

and also does anyone else think that Marvel has pushed the upcoming movies a little close together? i mean …

Thor and Ironman 2 come out in the same year … then i guess straight after they film those theyll have to film the Avengers movie.

Then theres captain America which from what i been told the Avengers comes out 6 weeks after that? … Who ever ends up playing Cap, wouldnt they end up making 2 movies at the same time? …

Im not sure how they make movies and if actors schedules are usually that hectic but that sounds like alot of work and pressure for the actors??? im no movie maker so im not sure if this is normal for an actor or not …

Ant/Giant man/Hank Pym & Wasp … Are these guys going to be in the Avengers movie? or have there own movies? i thought they were original members of the team.

Nick appeared in a very cool scene at the end of the credits.

Studios have more than one movie in development at the same time all the time. As long as they give a couple of months between release dates so one movie doesn’t step on the toes of the other one it’s fine.

I hear the ending of Captain America will be a cliffhanger leading directly to the opening of Avengers, but good point on whoever plays the role filming two movies at once.

Characters are not established for the Avengers movie yet.
