Do you want to see Bruce Willis get hit by a truck? Well, we’ve got a treat for you.
Disney recently released three new clips from Willis’ upcoming action/sci-fi film Surrogates and we have them here for you. In case you haven’t been keeping up with our coverage of Surrogates, the film takes place in a world where humans live their lives via remote-controlled robots. Willis plays Agent Greer, a detective investigating a Surrogate-related death that rapidly leads to a larger conspiracy.

These new clips don’t show much that we haven’t already seen from the trailers and TV spots (nor do they make much sense out of context), but they’re still worth checking out. In the first two clips, Bruce Willis is in full Surrogate mode, sporting a dashing blond toupee. In the last clip, he’s just good old Bruce Willis, something that doesn’t fare too well for him when an SUV slams into his car. Thanks to Collider for slapping all three clips together into one video.
Expectations of Surrogates have ranged from “meh” to “hey that doesn’t look too bad.” As a huge Bruce Willis fan and sci-fi nerd, I’m hoping the movie does well. Of course, 2009 hasn’t been known for its crop of quality films, so I won’t hold my breath. What do you think? Do these clips make you more or less excited to see Surrogates?

Uh that last part of the clip is kind of spoilerish? IMO.
As for seeing it, more then likely. Willis fan esp in rolls like this.
So the surrogates are supposed to be devoid of emotion and actually act like a robot? That’s kind of boring. Nothing really about any of those clips grabbed me.

I think they are only “devoid” if the user portrays them as such. I mean the girl and guy outside the club are showing emotions.
The only thing I am questioning at this point is “why”? Did the world have sort of epidemic? Did the murder rate shoot sky high?
Why are all/most people using mind controlled robots to run their lives in th eputside world?
Again for a movie that appears to allow me to leave my brain at the door I dont think I will have an issue with it…

I have always liked Mr. Willis, but I just cannot get passed the I Robot/Matrix connections. I will have to pass. Maybe on HBO next year when there is nothing else……AT ALL to watch.

Aint many “original” things out there now adays, you must watch a lot of HBO…
This movie looks pretty interesting. It’s a very cool concept and it should turn out to be a decent movie… I hope. Also, you said Disney released these clips?!? Disney owns this movie too?
Aknot…what I mean is…I will NOT pay to rent the DVD and usually HBO gets the newest releases first, and if there is NOTHING else on….(what so ever)….I may watch it.Just wish HBO would bring back Deadwood!
I know Tim… I was basing it ff you saying it wasnt “original” so you would wait to watch it. Meaning there really isnt a lot of original stuff out there so you must watch a lot of HBO…
How many seasons did that run? I have heard nothing but good thigns and will get the DVDs here soon.
3 seasons…one of the most orginal things I have ever seen on the small screen….. My kids got me the 3 season box set this past Yueltide….And the cost of Deadwood was sky-rocketing the last season, ( as was Rome) and there was talk of 2 films to finish the story, alas nothing new to report. Sorry, did not mean to come off cranky or anything. I would rent the first 3 episodes to get a taste of it’s brilliance. it is all based on historical fact, the writers got a hold of 200 issues of the “Deadwood Pioneer” newspaper to maintain it’s historical value. All the actors were playing real people.
