Two of the biggest summer blockbusters hitting theaters next summer are Marvel Studios’ Thor and The First Avenger: Captain America. Other than casting announcements and news of production schedules, we’ve only been treated to one single picture from these movies and that was of Chris Hemsworth in costume as Thor.

We know that Marvel is saving the big reveals for International Comic-Con in San Diego late next month but we may have a hint as to what the updated official logos for both Thor and Captain America may look like.

The two images originate from an inside source of CBM but are unfortunately only available in low-resolution. Check out what may be the official movie logos for Marvel’s next two superhero movies:

I like the Thor logo and its cosmic feel more than the Captain America design myself but that may be because I’m a lot more excited about the Thor movie. Both however, are quite a bit different than the movie logos Marvel put out last year when unveiling the release dates for their current line-up of feature films:

That image tries to keep the comic book feel and we can see that they’re going with a more contemporary feel if in fact, these newer logos are authentic Marvel Studios designs.

What do you think of the logos?

  1. The Thor one is excellent.

  2. I like what might be the thor one. Like you said it has a cosmic feeling to it. Like its otherworldly and be prepared when the movie comes at you. The Cap one is alright.

  3. The Thor one is very nice. I hope we get to see all sorts of cosmic stuff in the film. Nebulae and whatnot…

The Captain America one is nothing special but I can’t think of anything that would be better than it.

  4. As long as the modern day Cap shield says “Sponsored by The Colbert Report” somewhere on it, I’m good.

  5. I like both a lot. Hope their real. The ones revealed last year are too childish to me. The have more umph.

  6. I agree with Evan…the ones from last year looked like you’d find them on the side of an arcade game. The new ones look very sophisticated and more suited to their character…between this and the glimpses at both their costumes I’d say this is looking good so far boys…now we wait:)

  7. Captain America seems better by comparison, though I have a soft-spot for the Thor font. Put it on the new ethereal background, and I’m feeling it. I have been an Avengers fanatic since I was 8. In every form from West Coast to Force Works to Ultimates. I seriously enjoy these mixing of heroes, throughout these years, with few low points, in my opinion. I have been feeling 8 years old again for a few years now, and I intend on feeling this way for a few more. Now me gotta go pee pee now…..

    • Echo….Echooo…Echoooooo….or is it DITTO? Or did I change my name to Emily and repost, word for word…in my sleep? That would explain this girdle I woke up wearing….Capisce? LOL

  9. Estaba googleando otra cosa y encontre tu blog , muy buena info! saludos

  10. “English M@#%#* F&@%#$, do you speak it!!!” – Pulp Fiction

  11. Pretty sure the Captain America one is the same thing they used in ads for Fallen Son, just with the words and background color changed.

  12. dear screen rant

if you Are going to use An Artists Hard work for your own purposes at least credit the artist and let them know. that image is by Jason Metcalft and Jeremy Roberts

    • David,

Thank you for pointing that out. I do ask my writers to credit artwork but sometimes it’s very difficult to track down the original source with all the copies floating about online.

I will add the credit and link to their respective Deviant Arts pages.

      Best regards,

      Vic
