IMAX has unveiled their new Thor: Ragnarok poster, hyping the film's colorful palette and epic cast. In just two more months, Marvel's final film of 2017 will arrive. Though the Thor franchise hasn't always been the studio's most popular, Ragnarok is on track to be the biggest film in the series so far. Thanks to Taika Waititi's unique direction, the film's vibrant aesthetic, and the addition of Hulk, Ragnarok has been generating a good deal of buzz for the God of Thunder. As a result, it's the fall's most anticipated film.

With the release date of Thor: Raganarok fast approaching, Marvel has been ramping up promotion for the blockbuster. The latest TV spot for the movie offers fans a better idea of what the Grandmaster's gladiatorial games will be like, and even pokes fun at the Avengers a bit. Likely, a final full trailer is right around the corner for the movie and should lay out the plot a bit more. In the meantime, plenty of other promotional material has been arriving for the film.

Today, IMAX released their new Thor: Ragnarok poster. Like all of the film's posters so far, it's packed with color and inventive design work. Even better, it finds a way to feature the entire ensemble in a creative way that's still simplistic - a welcome departure from Marvel's usual muddled affairs.

The poster reveal also brought word that IMAX screenings will begin a day earlier than the film's release, for all those who prefer seeing a blockbuster during its Thursday previews. Once relegated to midnight screenings, Thursday evening has now become the unofficial release date for most major movies.

For fans who can't get enough of Ragnarok before it arrives, the IMAX poster is just the latest promotional image for the film to arrive. This week, a colorful new batch of character posters were unveiled for the new Thor film, putting the spotlight on each of the main heroes and villains from the movie.

Along with the big name characters who have been highlighted in the trailers and posters, we also recently learned on the set of the film that Sif and the Warriors Three will get their due. Likewise, Jane Foster and her relationship with Thor will be addressed. All told, the new film should serve as the perfect way to wrap up Thor's first trilogy as Marvel heads towards the end of Phase 3.
