  1. Bold prediction time:

A plot line in Avengers 2 will be that Hulk gets kicked off the team. (In the comics that happens, well…ALWAYS)

    …and this plot-line gets continued in ANT-MAN!

    • Could very well be – they definitely have something in mind for Ruffalo’s Hulk and there’s always that rumor of the team sending him into space.

  2. I’m all for the idea of J.J Abrams directing Beetlejuice 2. Then recast Beetlejuice with Benedict Cumberbatch and you got a oscar worthy piece of film right there ;)

  7. “I don’t wanna be the guy that destroys the legacy and the memory of the first film; I would rather die. I would rather just not make it, I’d rather just throw the whole thing away than make something that pays no respect and doesn’t live up even close to the legacy of the first film.”
    — Writer Seth Grahame-Smith

    • Terminator 2. Dark Knight. Spiderman 2. X-Men 2.

      Need I go on?

      • You can just say “Empire Strikes Back” and then drop the mic.

        • [silence]

  8. Make a Wikia page! It’s not hard to do, and it’s free! http:///wikia.com

  9. So will Falcon return in Avengers 2, or will we not know that until Cap 2 actually comes out?

    • I really hope so, but we’ll have to wait and see.

  10. I don’t really listen to your underground podcasts, but this one was fantastic, I completely agree with you guys about SHIELD. I’m trying so hard to like it, but it’s just not working. it’s too “ABC”-esqe for me. There’s nothing WOWing me. Like you guys said, CA2′s trailer beats out all 5 episodes of AoS.

  11. You guys made it seem like people liked Mortal Rebirth was well received, when it wasn’t. It was very, very, mixed.

    • I didn’t love it or Legacy, myself.

  12. so much Agents of SHIELD hate…

Captain America 2 looks good, but I think you guys have really high expectation for it. serious spy thriller? I hope so too, but it’s still Marvel and you shouldn’t forget Marvel have the same tone throughout all of their projects
and once again, Iron Man 2 wasn’t stand-alone enough and now Iron man 3 is too stand-alone. come on! :)

    • Iron Man 2 not being entirely “standalone” wasn’t its problem though – it wasn’t a well-constructed film.

      • true, but most of the complaints were about the heavy inclusion of SHIELD..

  13. “Vincent Van Go F*** Yourself”
Hmmm, Vincent Van Go F*** Yourself? Survey says: Archer.
    Kofi knows what’s up.
    Rampaaaaaaaage!

    • YES! THANK YOU!

(I should fire the rest of these guys and hire you.)

      • haha tempting, how does working for screenrant compare to the salary of teaching high school English in southern Missouri? :)
Unfortunately, I like listening to the podcast too much to do that to the other editors though so I must humbly decline.

  14. I never had high expectations for Agents of SHIELD and my brother was highly anticipating it. My brother watched it and praised it. I’m the type of person that loves movies and TV, so I will watch any movie or show just so I know that I saw that. When I watched that first episode, let’s just say that I haven’t seen another episode of that show since. The characters are just not interesting and they all seem to be comic relief. What’s up with that? And to prove that I will really watch ANYTHING, I will tell you this.

    I’m a Grown Ups 2 survivor.(Terrible S#!%)

    • Hey now… anything that keeps Colin Quinn and Norm Macdonald employed gets a pass, right? But still… you should have known!

      • I hope that was sarcasm, Ant, and I did know I just watched it so I could laugh at my cousins and my brother for actually liking it and telling me that it was an awesome movie and that it was their favorite of the summer. Oh they also mentioned that it was hilarious.

        • I didn’t want to tell you this, but I almost went down the Grown Up 2 path.

Why couldn’t they just make a movie about making the movie? I’d watch that!

          • It’s so frustrating because Kevin Hart is hilarious but Chris Rock is not funny and Tim Meadows is just horrible. Whaaaaaaaat?

          • Yo Ant, we have to write a petition to the Academy this year to get Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain for Best Picture, man. I got around to seeing it and it was amazing. Don’t get a Bum Bump.

  15. You shouldn’t just do a show with a Bane-off between Andrew and Kofi, or with Kofi doing Marky Mark for the whole show. You should do a show with everyone doing a character. :D

When Kofi said in the Beetlejuice discussion that there was stuff going on in Hollywood back then that just doesn’t happen anymore I immediately thought “Yeah, like everyone doing blow”, and then Kofi said the same thing. :D

When you do that kind of bet you must factor in Angela Lansbury’s age. She might be dead by the time the show takes off. She’s 88. ;)

As for Agents of SHIELD: they better had a very very good explanation as to why a tiny bunch of amateurish kids and recruits handles all that important stuff, while SHIELD clearly was a big bad-ass operation in The Avengers.

    • Just got a text from ABC: “Yolo! lol”

      I suppose that’s your answer! ;-)

      • Jajaja

  16. Box-office pick:
    1. Free Birds
    2. Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa
    3. Ender’s Game
    4. Gravity
    5. The Counselor
    [...]
    10. Escape Plan

  17. #1 Free Birds
    #2 Ender’s Game
    #3 Last Vegas
    #4 Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa
    #5 Gravity
    #10 Escape Plan

  18. In this podcast the following challenges were issued.

Kofi challenged Anthony that the original actress of “murder she wrote” will not have a cameo (meaning she will not appear once for any amount of time)
    Anthony accepted the challenge.
    Challenge Amount: $50

    Then
Ben extended a challenge that on the contingency that the original actress not only appears once but becomes a recurring character (meaning she appears in more than one episode) to Anthony.
    Anthony accepted the challenge.
    Challenge Amount: $25

    Challenge Amount Totals:
    Anthony: $75
    Kofi: $50
    Ben: $25

    • (the above is void)

      • You forgot to add in that the cameo (if there is any) must be in the first 5 episode.

        • I think Anthony said for the entire first season

          • and then I think he expanded it to never but we’ll check when the time comes.

  19. You guys say Iron Man 3 doesn’t have as much to do with the Avengers story arch as the others, and in the respect it doesn’t have all that incising an end credits scene or any cues to Thanos, I agree. However look at the Iron Legion, look at Tony working on AI’s, his declaration “I am Iron Man, no matter what” after blowing up the suits. I would argue when Age of Ultron comes out we’ll see how Iron Man 3 planted the seeds for what was to be.
