I don’t think the phrase “trouble behind-the-scenes” in regard to a movie has been more appropriately applied than to the upcoming adaptation of The Wolfman. All manner of troubles have occurred with this film – from new editors being brought in and the actual Wolfman design being changed well into production, to the studio flip-flopping back and forth between which musical scores they’re going to implement.

However, in spite of these alarm bells being set of we’re still really looking forward to The Wolfman here at Screen Rant (it made our 2010 most anticipated list) and I’m sure a lot of you are to. To fuel the fire of anticipation today we have a couple of new Wolfman items: a behind-the-scenes featurette and a sound clip of what the Wolfman’s howl sounds like.

First let’s check out the behind-the-scenes featurette, which basically consists of stars Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt talking about the movie as well as reminding us of the original monster movies Universal brought to life in the first half of the 20st century (The Wolfman, The Mummy, Frankenstein, Dracula). Check it out below, thanks to Cinemablend:

Now let’s take a listen to the sound of The Wolfman howling, thanks to the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting. It’s pretty damn cool:

Either the troubles behind-the-scenes aren’t as troubling as they appear from the outside looking in, or the marketing folks are just doing an fantastic job of making the film look great nonetheless. No matter what, I’ll certainly be in theaters to watch the latest Wolfman howl.

Thoughts on the behind-the-scenes featurette and the Wolfman howl itself? Does the troubled production worry you or is it not as bad as it seems?

The Wolfman finally hits theaters on Feburary 12th, 2010. Check out the official site if you haven’t already.
