“Damn… NINJAS!”

There really isn’t a better way to describe the upcoming Old West-meets-Far East movie The Warrior’s Way.

The film was written and directed by first time director Sngmoo Lee and stars South Korean action star Dong-gun Jang as a warrior-assassin who is forced to hide in a small town in the American Badlands after refusing a mission from his master, who then dispatches a horde of ninjas to kill him for his disobedience.

Today we have five interesting clips from The Warrior’s Way (previously titled Laundry Warrior) that show just enough action to pique your interest while not giving away the whole movie.

In the first clip, you’ll see the questionable knife throwing “skills” of Lynne (Kate Bosworth), followed by the hero Yang (Dong-gun Jang) getting ambushed by a pack of ninjas at a pond.

The remaining three clips are various edits of the same scene with minor alterations but each is worth watching just to hear Ron (Geoffrey Rush) utter the phrase which is sure to be in everyone’s vernacular this holiday season, “Damn… Ninjas!”

Enjoy them below:

Throwing Knives

Pond Ambush

Legendary

Honor

The Sad Flute

These clips have me excited to see The Warrior’s Way, if only for the unique visuals Lee has created using “wire-fu” and CGI effects. There also seems to be a hefty amount of green screen backgrounds used, but to me, that is what makes the film even more visually appealing.

Rogue Pictures is producing and distributing The Warrior’s Way and I’m sure they are hoping for better critical results than their last theatrical endeavor, Skyline. Besides Rush, Bosworth and Jang, The Warrior’s Way also stars Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans), Tony Cox (Bad Santa) and David Austin (Spartacus: Blood and Sand).

The Warrior’s Way brings its high-flying ninja action to screens December 3rd, 2010.

  1. I’m surprised this is R. Watching the trailer though, looks ok, just too much slow-mo stuff.

  2. I want to see this, this looks like it will be a fun movie. And I will be saying that line this season lol.

  3. ninja assassin 2:the way of the warrior???? wow awesome :)

  4. looks good

  5. another dumb move by hollywood. man im tired of the non stop action movies. give me old school action in my films, like stalone, arnold, and the rest of those type of action films. i would actually rather see more good horror movie/monster/sci fi thrillers than these kind of goofy action films they make these days, like this, resident evil,g i joe (etc). however i did like the expendables.

  6. look at what AMC is doing with the walking dead, now thats good horror, with story, characters, and effects the way hollywood should do things.

    • the only difference with that is the walking dead is an 1 hour show, and they would actually have time to explain about the characters and story unlike a movie where u got to rush everythin in like 90 mins or less

      • Agreed, and this is just the trailers, the things that will draw people in. If its an a fantasy/action one like this you show the action. Watch the trailers of some of those action stars’ films and you will see the same thing.

    • ……..um….BLEACH is 100x times better than the walking dead :D

      • I LOVE Bleach but that my friend is a pretty bold statement…

  7. This looks like an awesome movie. Can’t wait to read your review, Screenrant!

  8. just pure, shameless fun. unlikely to be understood by any female or person over the age of 40…

  9. Ummm…. Yeah.. its probably gonna be fun to watch with friends and enjoy but as a serious bit of filmmaking… not so much…

Gimme free tickets?? sure… I like films like this but I really wouldnt expect anyone to take a film like this to garner very much study as a classic. Anyone wanna compare it to the film style of Kung Fu Hustle?

  10. In the last movie clip, there must be an airship in the sky or something…where did all the ninjas drop in from? From the camera view, it looks like from heaven! Sometimes, I think directors need to have some common and realistic sense…

    • realistc ninjas??? bwahahahah wut u smokung kev?
