I just remember when I was younger and this show came on I was allways bored with it.
Very slow paced drama.

Andy , Hollywood has been recycling source material pretty much from the beginings of movie(&tv) biz.
Ben Hur , Magnificent Seven , Planet of The Apes , Last Man Satnding ( ” gangsterized ” remake of samurai film Yojimbo ) , Star Wars ( borrows heavily from many mythologies and previous films ) are just a few examples. Pretty much any work of art is a reflection of or reaction to a previous work.
The rule in Hollywood does seem to be ” if it worked before …..do it again !! “
