Prior to Daredevil season 2, Frank Castle had received a few big-screen adaptations, but none were met with an overwhelming positivity. Marvel and Netflix have been able to change that having Jon Bernthal bring the character to life on the small screen. The vigilante was only a supporting character in Daredevil, but the response to his appearance prompted the companies to fast track his solo series, The Punisher.

The series was only announced at the end of April, but production on the first season is already well underway. Set photos from on location filming of the series have arriving with some regularity, and the latest batch give fans their first look at one of the previously announced cast members and the reveal of one new one.

Getty Images has released brand new images from The Punisher set that give fans their first look at Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani. The images reveal that Michael Nathanson (The Knick) has joined the cast. Nathanson has not been officially announced to be a part of the series, but it would seem these photos will have to serve as an unofficial confirmation.

Even though Nathanson's character has not been revealed, his attire and the fact that he is filming with Revah could point to the two being partners. When Revah was announced, her character Madani was described as a, "highly-trained sophisticated Homeland Security agent who is vexed by the Punisher." Based on the photos alone, Nathanson is likely playing a fellow member of Homeland Security.

The presence of Homeland Security shows just how well known the Punisher is already. Outside of being framed for murder, he has numerous victims and managed to escaped from prison. Given his record, Homeland Security and other government agencies are undoubtedly trying to track Castle down.

For fans of the Netflix/Marvel universe, the presence of these agents in New York open up the doors for other familiar faces in law enforcement to possibly appear as well. Simone Missick quickly won fans over as Misty Knight in Luke Cage and giving her the chance to meet Punisher could lay the foundation for a future encounter. While there hasn't been any indication of this happening, an appearance of Blake Tower (Stephen Rider) is not out of the question since the two have a history, and Tower previously cameoed in Luke Cage.
