Did anybody else notice that John Krasinski wasn't really in the episode? Jim only appeared in flashbacks. You'd think he'd be there as co-manager to prevent then kinds of things we saw in perhaps the biggest waste of my time on Thursday.

I'm just glad I DVR'd “Fringe” instead of that.

I guess everyone has their own opinion of the office. Personally I hated the show when it first aired I thought watching michael was the visual equivalent of listening to nails on a chalkboard. But the more you watch the show you actually develop a soft spot for him which is somewhat terrifying. Also, after watching the office u.k. michael looks like a saint.lol I can't wait to see ricky gervais in the US. You said: “I’m really happy to see that Gervais is stepping up to YANK the reigns back in the right direction” There is a pun there, not sure if you realized.lol And as far as erin goes, I find her hilarious because she doesn't really get how insane everyone in the office is, even though she's pretty normal herself. But what is normal really? Well, thats my two cents; looking forward to this thanks for the news!

Mediocre sixth season? come on! this season is pure gold. And i was crying out loud in the clip show :') it was goood. Love Ricky Gervais, he is a funny funny man. Can't wait for see David and Michael together!

Erin grew on me as well but they kind of stopped developing her character as of late. What happened to the little things about her being really anal?

If Gervais can get into that old character, it would be amazing to see him interact with Michael. They should do at least a couple of episodes on that. They have become so different as bosses. Gervais was PAINFULLY awkward (in a comedic way of course) and Carell is more FUNNY/INNOCENT awkward.

Think it'll be cool having Gervais on the show (I like him in general, thought he was hilarious in “Ghost Town”). Obvious ratings stunt though. I don't get the hate for Erin either. I've always found her to be the sweetly naive character she's supposed to be without trying to be Pam. And if you haven't seen the web content of her and Kelly in their girl band, Subtle Sexuality, you should check it out. Pretty funny and even a little catchy.

On a side note, what was that clip show? Was that like a 100th episode thing or something? Almost felt like a last episode thing. Was nice to see some of the stuff from way early in the show though. Dwight's stuff in the vending machine is still probably my favorite prank of all time.

While I didn't care for Erin in the beginning, she's grown on me. I think I'm just happy to see Andy find someone who's not screwing him over.

And I've never seen the british version of the show, so I'll have to start watching.

This is a show that in theory I should have stopped watching, and I did in fact, but returned just to kill time and to my surprise I was very entertained with the 5th season.

I do however love the UK version more, so seeing more Brent is something I'm excited about.

My only problem with Erin is that I like Pam as a receptionist more than as a saleswoman. Otherwise, I don't mind her character. She doesn't really do much besides provide a love-interest for Andy, after all.

That's good news about Gervais. I'm going to have to familiarize myself with the British Office before he comes on, so that I'll get the jokes.
