It's no secret that a lot of people were impressed by the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo teaser trailer. After all, David Fincher's vision of Stieg Larsson's bestselling novel captured both the eye and ear with its darkly beautiful look and pulse-pounding remix of Led Zepplin's "Immigrant Song" by Trent Reznor.

Well, apparently the minds behind Disney's The Muppets also enjoyed the Dragon Tattoo trailer as much as we did, because they've honored it in the best way by putting together a delicious parody for the latest Muppets trailer.

For those who don't know, here's a quick rundown of the latest Muppet adventure:

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways.

People have been overwhelmingly positive about this new Muppets movie, and it's easy to see why. Even with new talents like writer/director James Bobin and writer/actor Jason Segel handling Jim Henson's iconic characters, the spirit of The Muppets' sly and irreverent humor is still intact, and as effectively charming and amusing as it's always been. That's nothing short of amazing, given the cynical and raunchy comedic times we live in. Fingers crossed that the actual film is as good as this wonderful Muppets marketing campaign has been.
