The Masked Singer postponed their Andrew Lloyd Webber night episode until next week, and fans are not happy about the change. The show was set to honor the Broadway legend on October 12th, and fans couldn't wait to see him as a guest panelist. They were also excited to meet the three new contestants of the night. Mermaid, Maize, and Robo Girl were ready to debut, and fans had already seen a preview of Mermaid's performance. They were sure the contestant was Kathleen Turner and couldn't wait to see if they were correct later in the night. Unfortunately, the Braves Vs. Phillies baseball game ran over time, and The Masked Singer had to postpone their episode.

Fans were far from understanding of the inconvenience and let The Masked Singer know how upset they were. On Twitter, The Masked Singer apologized to fans and let them know the episode would air a week later, but fans did not accept their apology. "What!? No! You PROMISED!" one fan replied while another wrote, "So are we just not able to watch it? I actually had the day off and was looking forward to it." While a few admitted they were watching the sports game, most were livid that their favorite competition show wouldn't be airing this week. One fan even told the show that it had ruined their birthday.

Fans Feel Like The Masked Singer Lied To Them

Hedgehog performs on The Masked Singer season 8

The Masked Singer previously told fans that the show would air after the baseball game. Fans were still upset that they had to wait until the game was over but were excited to at least get the episode on a Wednesday night, as usual. This made it extra disappointing for them when the show announced that there wouldn't be an episode at all. This season, The Masked Singer has been doing two eliminations and reveals per night. Fans were excited to see if Mermaid, Maize, or Robo Girl were going home. Unfortunately, they'll have to wait another week to find out.

Fans' anger is completely valid. The Masked Singer has been massively popular since it premiered in 2019, and fans wait all week long for a new episode to air. This one was especially exciting since Andrew's work is so beloved by theater fans. If the show was going to postpone the episode, they should have told this to fans from the start instead of making them think the episode was going to be on, only to change their decision at the last minute. The Masked Singer fans haven't been this upset since Rudy Giuliani appeared on season 7 of the show.

Hopefully, fans will be more forgiving this season than they were last. After all, it's not The Masked Singer's fault the game went on too long, and they were trying their best to keep fans happy. The themed episode better be the best one yet if they're making fans wait extra long to see it. If it's lacking in any way, The Masked Singer will have to deal with fans' wrath again. Luckily, this will all likely blow over by the next episode, so the show just needs to hold out until fans find something else to be mad about.
