I just geekgasmed buckets.

Panda says:

just as long as this is a new Indy movie and not Raiders Special Edition, I’m happy

BTW also notice how Indy makes comments like “not as easy as it used to be”. U have to appreciate that they realize it’s a unbelievable that Indy is doing these stunts, while Ford gets a senior discount to see his movie. Kind of the same tone as the beginning of Transformers making comments how “more than meets the eye” is a stupid line, it adds a little charm

Can’t wait to see this trailer so I can nitpick the bastard. (JK), I’m really looking forward to this film.
I only have email/limited Browser power right now I’ll get to a full PC tomarrow morn.

If I see John McCain in this film I’m going to be seriously pissed.
^
Haha.
Hey KEL, I get you bro!!!

Also Jim C, the music in this film is very powerfull.
John Wiliams is a great I mean GREAT composer. I was kinda surprised you didn’t know that he did both Supeman and Indy??? He also did every other great film in the modern day. Can’t say enough great things about him. :)

steve adams says:

Aaaahh CORRECTION////

( John Williams)

I mispelt his name.

KEEEEELLLLLLL!!!! :)

Cardo says:

In response to the comment about picturing your grandfather doing all that jumping onto trucks and swinging around and stuff…well just how many young fit and able people could do all that..not many in reality..but were not talking reality were talking Indiana Jones..in films anything is possible remember, and when I go to see it I will be going to enjoy it not to study it. You just have to accept it for what it is..a popcorn movie with caliber..
Oh and for the real fans “Its a date you eeat em”

Niall says:

I just got up off the floor after that Indy trailer. I can’t believe that this film is almost out! I’ve waited nearly twenty years for this, and I honestly never thought I’d see this trailer!

In a word- “wow”.

Niall

Vic says:

I *did* love the bit where he picks up his hat. :-)

And Cardo, I’ll take your “It’s a date – you EAT em’” quote and raise you:

“Asps. Very dangerous… you go first.”
:-)

Vic

mango says:

Come on people, this is a FANTASY movie. Indiana Jones is a FICTIONAL character. Harrison Ford is an ACTOR. He is ACTING in this movie. This is not REAL, children. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Rob says:

This looks surprisingly good but Shia looks like a significant weakpoint for the film. He better be a really good character or I’ll be pissed.

KEL says:

Hey STEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D

Yeah,sorry about that again,Andy.

I understand what you mean, respect the guy, totally. Not sure how true those things are that you mentioned about McCain but I respect him too.

Sorry about my comment,again. I totally misread…LOL!

steve adams says:

WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!
This trailer was AWESOME!
I have to say it gave me more action than the Dark Knight and Iron Man trailers combined!
^
Did you notice the Roswell clue ??
^
I loved that line at the end….
“Your a teacher?” “Part time…..”

Great!
I’m really pumped for this film!!!!

steve adams says:

Hey KEL did you notice the Roswell reference?
^
Looked like some underground “stuff”
as well…..

Surma says:

“Hey Dr. Jones, no time for LOOOVE, we got company”

I had to get over My astonishment, before I could repost with something actual to say. I never realized that Indiana Jones with special effects enhancements could actually be good. That was one of my fears that this would turn into Star Wars or something, but with Spielberg I should know better.

p.s. despite everyones dislike for Temple of Doom, it still combats inside my heart for favorite, but really to me the series itself is a favorite.

Andy says:

I’ve had the theme music stuck in my head on an endless loop since watching the trailer for the first time yesterday….and I LOVE it!

Jay says:

As good as the Raiders March theme is… “Desert Chase” is still my favorite track from all the Indy soundtracks.

steve adams says:

That’s soo funny you guys I can’t get that Indy theme out of my mind ether!!!!

Jim Carey says:

same as superman theme. (rolls eyes)

steve adams says:

I sure hope this new Indy has some great scenes like that one where he shoots the swordsman in “Indiana Jones”.
^
I read that Harrison made that up because he was sick and wanted to get the scene over with. :p

steve adams says:

Thanks to this trailer and that theme (I can’t get out of my head) I just purchased the entire Indiana Jones dvd collection.
^
I blame Screenrant for this!!!!!!
:)

Andy says:

Shame on you Steve for not having that set already!! I have it on VHS, DVD and someday I know I will have it on BluRay….. :P

steve adams says:

Yea Andy your right. My only excuse is that I was waiting for the price to come down.
^
30 bucks new!!!! :)

Vance says:

WOW! That trailer was pretty cool! The part where Indy swings into the truck was exactly something Indy would do. Plus his comment was spot on. I was also bugged by the CGI effects. I was praying that George Lucas would keep it realistic like ‘Last Crusade’ and not screw it up like he did with the Star Wars prequels. So that kind of worried me. I guess I can live with the CGI effects, just grin and bear it.

The Indy action scenes didn’t seem to exaggerated to me and all these comments about how old Ford is doesn’t mean the movie can’t still rock. Has anybody seen ‘True Grit’? It’s a John Wayne movie where he is in his 60’s kicking ass and taking names. When I watched that movie years ago, I never thought, “Oh…he looks so old”, or “He couldn’t ride a horse like that.” All I knew was that it rocked. So I don’t think age will be the deciding factor of this movie.

I think that the CGI effects will make or break the movie. Lucas is shooting himself in the foot if he doesn’t keep the feel like the other Indy films.

Oh yea, the story plot might break the movie too but we’ll see about that.

Anyway, looks good so far, and Indy still looks like he could kick the crap out of me and all my friends!

steve adams says:

Vance good read.
^
Allthough I don’t know what CGI effects were (bad) I didn’t see any?
^
Speaking of True Grit, did you notice that sequence of shots in the trailer where Indy and
friend are surrounded by nazis and then a bunch of stuff goes by and then you see Indy’s shoes walk with a slight limp over to his hat that he picks up. (You see his shadow on the car).
You know he just kicked all there butts.
^
That’s a true grit moment !!!

^
I have to say again even this trailer had a good script with the beginnings at the front. Very well done. I have a feeling this is goinf to be the second best film in the series.

Vance says:

True, I think it has great promise to be the ’second’ best Indy film.

The CGI moments I was speaking about in the trailer were when Spalko and Indy are driving on the edge of the cliff ramming into each other. It looked to me like it had been blue screened, but maybe that’s just how it looks on my computer. I just love the tank scenes in ‘Crusade’ where it was all real. Except maybe when it’s going over the cliff. I hope it’s got that same feel.

Also, we know Indy is old, and I hope the movie doesn’t focus too many of it’s jokes on that fact. don’t get me wrong, the ones in the trailer are good, especially: “Damn, I thought that was closer!” But we’ll just have to see what happens.

I am so glad we only have 3 more months left to wait!

steve adams says:

Yeah Vance I’m sure we all know that the Temple of Doom is the best, haha just kidding.
^
The 1st film will never be beat !
^
I didn’t notice that Spalko scene I’ll go back and rewatch.
Btw (what’s a Spalko?).
^
That Tank scene in Last Crusade was awesome. But you know its cheaper now to use CGI so that’s the main reason there doing it that way. Especally with stunts.
^
Me and a bunch of people at work all watched the trailer on Screenrant today and they all laughed at that last line, “your a teacher???……. Part time”.
I’m so glad I don’t have to go see Spiderwick for this. Thanks Screenrant for putting this up. This site has all the best trailers!!^

Cardo says:

There hasn’t been in my opinion a film in recent years that has created so much excitement and longing since the LOTR trilogy, sorry for being so dreamy, sorry if your’e not a fan and sorry for the abbreviations, but I miss the build up for a good film so I am hyped up that this new Indy movie is going to bring back that feeling of something to look forward to, it’s going to have people going back to the cinema in droves, I guess it’ll be sad when it’s all over though.. The Hobbit will be the next big thing on the horizon…maybe!!
Oh and Vic nice come back…

Niall says:

I have no problem with Indy being in his 60’s. When I was a boy Indy was a real man and an action hero that I looked up to.
Now that I’m a man all “action heroes” seem to be boys.
It’s good to see a real man back on the big screen. In my opinion Ford could easily pass for being in his early 50’s and he still looks like he could kick ass.

Andy says:

One other thing regarding Indy’s age and the believability. Indy wouldn’t be your “typical” 60 yr old professor. He’s spent his whole life out in the field, exploring and whatnot. So he’s going to be in extremely good shape for an older guy. Yeah, some of the scenes might be a little over the top (it is a MOVIE after all), but just because someone is in their 60’s doesn’t necessarily mean they have to be decrepit….

Vance says:

Agent Spalko is supposedly the name of Indys nemesis.

This trailer has me very hyped. I want to put on my fedora for the rest of the day. I was humming the theme song all day at work thanks to the trailer. I also want to get a whip and see if I can actually use the whip to swing across a deadly casm. Ok, maybe not that bad!

Indy is older, but like the other posts, it doesn’t matter to me. He looks like he’s kicking butt in the trailer. And he would be in pretty good shape for a globe-trotting adventurer.

Jay says:

I have Indy’s whip. (Well a David Morgan replica anyway, not an actual screen used one.)
http://indygear.com/gear/whip.shtml
I can tell you one thing for certain… when you crack this whip it sounds 100% identical to the sound you hear in the movies. I was amazed.
