The Indiana Jones Trailer: He’s Creaky, But He’s Still Got It

The Indiana Jones Trailer: Hes Creaky, But Hes Still Got ItIt’s finally here: the trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Considering that the movie opens a couple of weeks after Iron Man, which had a trailer come five months ago and a couple of months before The Dark Knight, which has also already released a trailer a while back, I’d say it’s about time we were shown some footage.

Enough cynicism – If you’re an Indy fan, get ready to geek out big time by watching the trailer below…

Ok, ok… I haven’t been the biggest cheerleader for this movie, but I have to admit that the trailer totally captured the spirit of the series, dead on. It hits all the right notes as far as nods to the fans, setting a familiar tone as far as action and the look of it. The only thing that made me roll my eyes was seeing what’s supposed to be a 60 year old guy doing stunts like jumping off of, and on to a moving truck (among other things).

Yes, I know it’s fantasy, but picture your grandfather, even if he’s in great shape, trying some of that. Two words: hospital visit.

Barring that, I’m finally feeling a bit of excitement and am looking forward to Indy 4.

“Damn, I thought it was closer.”

  1. Agent Spalko is supposedly the name of Indys nemesis.

This trailer has me very hyped. I want to put on my fedora for the rest of the day. I was humming the theme song all day at work thanks to the trailer. I also want to get a whip and see if I can actually use the whip to swing across a deadly casm. Ok, maybe not that bad!

Indy is older, but like the other posts, it doesn’t matter to me. He looks like he’s kicking butt in the trailer. And he would be in pretty good shape for a globe-trotting adventurer.

  2. I have Indy’s whip. (Well a David Morgan replica anyway, not an actual screen used one.)

I can tell you one thing for certain… when you crack this whip it sounds 100% identical to the sound you hear in the movies. I was amazed.

  3. Ok, I’ve probably watched the trailer 50 freakin’ times and I am STILL getting goosebumps from it!!

  4. Yeah,Steve,I caught that too!

The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull probably has something to do with that,it’s probably alien in origin or something. I think that makes sense, the film is set in the fifties, the russians are the bad guys this time ’round (Cold War era),and there was reported alien activity back then so I can definitely see the connection aliens might have in the film.

Just watched this again and I’m pretty durn excited about this film! :-D

Got the Williams’ Indy music in my head……:-D

BTW,Last Crusade is my fave Indy film, guys. :-)

  5. NO SPOILER IN THIS POST

I normally avoid spoilers most of the time but I accidently stumbled across a pretty major one.

If you DO want a spoiler for Indy 4… Do a search for the comic book adaptation of Indy 4. There are 2 separate cover artwork images… One of which contains a pretty major plot spoiler right smack dab in the middle of the page.
