  1. That start time to filming is later then they said before. A delay is never a good sign but why are people, like Ian Mckellen, talking about this movie if no greenlight has been given yet? MGM and whoever are in financial trouble so this is a very bad sign.

  2. I’m not too worried about the delay. This film IS going to be made. With Jackson and del Torro in charge of it, it is going to be spectacular! I can hardly wait to see these films!!

  3. I wouldn’t be too concerned, they were shooting pick-ups for the Trilogy very close to release dates and as well all know those movies turned out to be brilliant.

  4. ya i cant wait till all of these movies come on dvd and watch from start to finish in one epic 14 hour story.

  5. Not greenlit? Then why have they already built the Hobbiton set? Did Jackson just decide to front the cash for that himself?

  6. They have started building sets, started doing designs, started casting, got a director, producers and a finished script for part 1.

This movie will have no problems, the LOTR trilogy made billions, there is zero need to be worried.

I suspect the no green light bit means something different, or was translated badly.
