YEA!!! My fingers are crossed for an Ian McKellan return. I can live with a Raimi / Jackson partnership if that comes to pass. (I didn’t like the Spiderman 3 Script is all…blah, whata mess!)

I haven't heard of anything that says he can't also direct the films. It sounds to me like there's still a chance of that, maybe even a better chance than before he and New Line settled their differences. As for Raimi, I'm also curious as to whether he actually said he wasn't going to direct Spidey 4. Last I heard, no decision had actually been made/announced on that score.
