Neil Patrick Harris can be do pretty much anything in my book. He has great comic timing and has acting chops.

bigDOG says:

Yeah I have to admit, NPH does sound like a really good choice. It should be a fun movie either way if they do it right.

Gary says:

Sorry that the Flash in this film isnt Barry Allen,
But I dont mind NPH as Wally West.

HERB says:

damn ai really like unicorns :D

Viper moonST1 says:

If this is true,Then D.C. can start doing films and tie them together like Marvel and start The D.C.U. ending with the Justice League

gay says:

he’s a official gay. Nice to see that we have gay heroes now. Finally.

Um, this would be a gay actor portraying a straight superhero. The Flash is not gay.

Rob Keyes says:

Neil Patrick Harris can do anything, I think it’s awesome.

I love Ryan Reynolds as well, but he’s done a few Marvel comic movies already and like said above, is locked up as Deadpool for his comic future.

Joshi says:

What Vic said. If How I Met your Mother has taught us anything, it’s that Neil can easily play a straight character.

Jordan says:

Is anyone else as excited as me.
NPH is hilarious, and he’s going to be awesome…..given the opportunity.

Enna says:

Neil as The Flash would be the greatest thing ever! I’d go from not even seeing the movie to going to the midnight showing on opening night. He’s just that awesome!

Vern says:

NPH as Wally West? Leg-wait for it…endary! The right choice!

Vern says:

Also,
He would give those “stiffs” Kal El and Bruce Wayne a run for their money…Ha….get it? Run….for the money!

JWC says:

Yeah, I could deal with it. The Flash (as I remember him) wasn’t a very “serious” superhero.

John "Kahless" Taylor says:

As someone else said, I first thought, “Neil Patrick Harris?”; but after reading all the posts and thinking about what he has done, I can definately see this. I also think Chris Evans would be a good choice but he doesn’t have the acting ability that NPH has.

Lunar Child says:

Call me crazy, but I like it! NPH would be a fantastic Wally West, and he looks like he could pull off anywhere in his late 20’s. I just hope he can buff up a lot more.

Let’s not forget, people weren’t sure about R. Downey Jr. when he was first cast as Tony Stark and look how that turned out.

KEL says:

NO!!!!

Scott Porter should play THE Flash/Barry ALlen!!! Harris is OK as him in the animated movie, but I don’t see him as Flash in a movie. Porter for Barry Allen!

And this movie had better be about BARRY ALLEN, NOT Kid Flash/Wally West, dammit.

Andy says:

Kyle Gallner = My Flash (L)

Lex says:

Beef up? Not really…take a look at him at the end of season 3 last year in How I Met Your Mother. He’s in bed with Robin and it’s pretty clear he’s realized that if he’s gonna be topless a fair amount in this show–and he is–he should get pretty buff.

Michael says:

Wonder Woman and Green Lantern have great animated movies, I hope they make a animated movie of The Flash.

marsonmars says:

harris is too gay to be the Flash

Allen says:

I know it’s too late because he has already done deadpool, but Ryan Reynolds would have been a much better Flash. The guy is already big enough and he has that sarcasm to go along with it.

chrisj says:

@ allen
I agree with ya on that one Allen. After seeing Reynolds as Deadpool, he’d be perfect as Wally West/Flash. Is it impossible for a actor to play to different heroes from different comic book publishers etc.?

The Pitt Man says:

The only flash I remember is the one in Justice League Europe, and he was cool. A sexist, wise ass… funny. Who in their right mind would hit on power girl? He was just looking for beating. NPH would be perfect, who needs muscles? He’s kind of lanky, like a runner.

AND enough of the Ryan Reynolds worship!!! He’s just a sarcastic one trick pony… now with ABS! And who’s better – Aquaman or Namor? Anyone?

John "Kahless" Taylor says:

Namor any day. He’s strong as heck and he can fly.
