Last week we got the teaser poster for The Final Destination, the fourth (and presumably last) installment in the teen-horror series. The poster was admittedly pretty cool, but definitely nothing to rave from the rooftops about.
Well today we’re getting another taste of The Final Destination in the form of a full trailer, featuring teases of some of the predictably silly death scenes the Final Destination series is best known for.

The Final Destination is using 3D to hook people in for another go at the successful horror franchise. Since the deaths are silly, the acting is wooden, and even the title isn’t as clever as it thinks it is, the filmmakers needed something to make this latest installment more worthwhile than just renting the first three Final Destination movies. Looks like they found their gimmick solution. Check out the trailer for The Final Destination, and let the silliness ensue:
I don’t know about you, but I think that trailer looks incredibly dumb and silly. At the end of the day it just looks like more of what we’ve had from the first three Final Destination movies, only wrapped in slicker, shinier, packing with a 3D bow on top. But never once during that trailer did I fear for the lives of those young ‘uns; neither did I cheer at the hinted-at death of them. I should have felt one or the other, fear or fun, but the trailer left me stranded on the unfortunate middle ground of “who cares?”
Obviously we can’t sample how The Final Destination is going to look in 3D, what with our regular old computer monitors. But by the looks of the trailer, it seems very obvious that they’ve stuck in dozens of things coming towards to the screen just for the sake of them “popping out” at the audience in 3D.
The Final Destination looks to be the type of gimmicky 3D movie that gives the technology a bad name. When used in a more subtle way (as I hear Pixar’s latest movie, UP, does) 3D can be an amazing experience. Unfortunately, more often than not what we get is a gimmick… and it’s a gimmick that I think wears off very quickly.
I’m not totally against the Final Destination franchise – the first three so far provided some morbid fun even if technically speaking they’re bad movies. However, to me, the franchise passed it’s sell-by date years ago.
I really hope this is the FINAL Final Destination…

A deadly car wash? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH! I may go see this for the comedy of it lol
10 years ago, huh? Can we have a movie where a computer program has concluded that Hollywood is evil and sends back, I don’t know, a TERMINATOR, to destroy the individual who came up with this abomination? Let’s call this movie: Moviegoer: Salvation.
Ok, this film looks fun…and I dont mean in a “this movie is good” type fun. I mena the usual, “lets rack up the body count more than a war zone” type of fun. Then again I think that is what makes these movies fun. Yes, they are cliched, but so are a lot of horror films, expecting something new from a slasher such as this is like expecting a Friday 13th film to have depth and character development for anybody other than Jason.
Well this film can’t possibley be worse than the third film….at least I hope not.
Death by carwash? Look, I actually like all three of the other ones, even the travesty that was FD3, but that’s the stupidest death they’ve come up with yet.
I also wish they would have come up with a better premonition scene. Race cars? Really? After a plane, cars, and… ugh, a roller coaster, the next logical place was either a train or a boat.
I would love a Final Destination:ST. There the preminonition would be a mass death caused by a transporter malfuntion and Scotty gets a preminition about it. After he saves every one, that is when the killing starts and Kirk ends up having to fight death to save everyone…and Spock winds up being a Jedi
I think it won’t be a great movie.
I do think it’ll be a great and fun experience. Looks very enjoyable.
I was done after the first movie. Liked it, but the concept didn’t need further rehashing.
I think the movie looks cool. I do admit the tire flying at that lady was cheesy, but honestly I think this film will be entertaining. I love all the other FD movies, so I’m looking forward to watching this.

I didn’t even bother with #3,but I did enjoy the first and second films and I’ll see this one just for the 3D,which should be kinda cool no matter how stupid the movie will end up being,

No sillier than most trailers. The kill scenes in these movies are usually well worth watching and I hope they make more of this series.
This looks bad, like not even remotely good. Looks super cheesy, and it looks like their relying on the 3D stuff to pull it through, which wont work.

I’m sorry, but I’ve never understood the appeal of these movies. Do people get entertained by watching random twenty somethings dying in every which way?
this looks like utter tosh, just seeing people killed for the sake of it, in the worst immaginable way. Is that way you feel about the human kind ? Frankly one for the retarded kids only !
the fact of the matter is that we all enjoy this kind of violence in one way or another and this movie will continue to feed that to us.
while these movies are NO bluckbusters, it has made a name for itself being the movie of crazy deaths and “i wonder how would they kill the next person like…”

Of course it was predictable and gory but it WAS fun!! Gore galore! Not the best movie ever but I liked it. It’s pretty cool watching blood coming at you (only at the movies im sure).
