What are you 16? Lady Gaga as poison Ivy. Yeah she’s poison allright, more like a cancerous sore on society. She can’t sing, her “act”: (Stolen from Madonna/Alice Cooper/Demon from KISS)Is nothing but shock art…”lets see how much i can aggravate the masses” She’s a fizzle and looks like she smells. To actually recommend Lady Gaga for a role in a movie such as this or a below B movie for that matter is not only ludacris, but down right insulting and will lead to many not wanting to see the movie. Or it will have the same effect on the Batman movies of yore when Arnold Schwarzenager was Dr. Freeze, and we all know how THAT went!….KEEP that FREAK out of the movie, and remember just because you like her pseudo-musical talents and her “act” does not mean she can in fact ACT! I’d like to see Bane in the next Batman Movie. The Riddler would be awesome too. Too bad that Ledger is dead, I just love the Joker but if they replaced Heath with some other actor, it just wouldn’t work I guess. Though when I think about it, Rachel has also been replaced, so it might work (despite the fact that I didn’t like the change of actors, but who am I to criticise)

I got one. Johnny Depp as the Riddler, being the main villain. And if it could work out in nolans veiw, cast James Franco, or someone as the Joker, but only for a short time so it does not ruin the memory of Heath. And maybe someone like Brad Pitt, Woody Harrelson or Bill Mosley as the Mad Hatter. This would be amazing. Ohh and just a note to C. Nolan, if you get Johnny depp to play the Riddler, then you will be my new favorite director.
PLEASE PERSUADE JOHNNY DEPP TO BE THE RIDDLER, EVEN IF IT MEANS YOU MUST BRIBE HIM.

Well, shouldn’t you have changed the title of this article by now??? there is no way Nolan will bring a new movie in 2011, since Inception is supposed to arrive next summer. Knowing Nolan, he will take at least 2 more years to finish a Batman sequel (yeah, it’s a sequel!!)

I say we have Rachel seemingly return from the dead and haunt Bruce. It will be revealed in the 3rd act that she is actually Talia (Ras Al Ghul’s daughter). Ras will return via the Lazarus pit and will use his daughter to mind screw Bruce. Meanwhile a sadistic killer called the Riddler is wreaking havoc upon Gotham city and keeping Batman and the GCPD very busy. One of the Riddler’s crimes could involve crime boss Tony Zucco and orphans a certain Richard Grayson. Ultimately Batman must face the riddler and Bruce must defeat Ras (who has masterminded his life since birth). In order to save Gotham’s soul. I think this would bring the series full circle and set up a new trilogy that focuses on the relationship between Batman and Robin.

well i new to this whole leave opinion thing but my idea is this…. if the directors or the executive producers came up with this idea then plz post me that im wrong. well i think that batman and superman should come work together since the penguin and lex luthor are trying to kill both superheros…. only to have lois lane as the woman of interest and that both heroes are trying to win her affections and that the ending should be like that Michael guy posted

I agree with cyn, the joker card has been played. I think a good choice would either be Harvey Dent (Two-Face) team up with Riddler or have a three way dance with Batman against Two-Face against Riddler.

They could do a Harley Quinn as a Joker copy cat but you cant recast Ledger, I hated the recast of Rachel, people just wouldn’t accept the recast as the Joke. Another possible villain could be Mr. Zsasz he was on trial during Batman begins the first time you see Crane.

Get Dwayne Johnson to play Bane. He’s got the size, bulk, and height to dominate Batman. He’s a good enough actor to pull off a one dimensional villain, too. We’ve already seen most of the other villains, and even though Bane appeared in that crap 4th movie he was nothing more than a grunt. Follow that Knightfall story. . .

Personally I don’t think anybody can recast and be the Joker. Heath Ledger did such a great job that nobody could even look at another person and think of them as the Joker. If they did redo the Joker, then he can’t actually be the same Joker, but maybe his brother or a copycat killer or something, but they can’t do the real Joker without Heath Ledger. That’s just my opinion, but you are right that the Joker’s story isn’t done yet.

Recast the Joker. The Joker’s story in Nolan’s Batman universe isn’t done. It will be a shame to let Ledger’s brilliant depiction go to waste.

I think the riddler is one of the only major villains they could portray as being realistic. I think James Franco, or someone like him, would make a great riddler who is a sadistic killer when he starts takin out people who he thinks are wrong doers (kinda like the main guy from the saw movies does), and he can look at himself as the good guy who does good by taking out the scum life, but who are actually decent people. Also, i think they could easily bring back Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face, and maybe we could see Batman vs Riddler vs Two-Face.

*SPOILER* The title of “The Dark Knight Returns” is out because it references a comic book written by Frank Miller in which Batman is retired for 10 years and comes out of retirement to save the city again from a new gang. Batman then fights Superman at the end of the comic and is killed by Superman, only to rise again and destroy the batcave and mansion to go back underground to continue the fight. So unless they plan on ending the franchise, re-casting Mr. Bale, and taking the films in another direction I would not expect to see the title for a while. Perhaps if the antagonist is an alien a title like Batman and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull would work
