The Dark Knight Plot Summary

May 18, 2007 by

Here is what may be the official plot synopsis of the Batman Begins sequel: The Dark Knight:

“In The Dark Knight, Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker.”

That is according to Batman on Film, which usually is very accurate with it’s info.

Also, if you go to the newly unveiled official movie website and click on the logo, you’ll see a campaign poster for Harvey Dent as District Attorney.

  1. Nothing to say about this yet, just wanted to know if anyone knew if Shawn Levy (who directed Night at the Museum)was still going to direct The Flash.

  2. The storyline sounds pretty good. As long as Batman doesn’t reveal his identity this time ’round and the Joker is actually closer to the comix than the pictures of Heath Ledger’s Joker,I expect this film to be alright. Hope the Joker isn’t over the top scary, gross, and weird like that picture.

  3. Last I heard it’s still Levy on The Flash.

  4. oh man i am soo excited for this movie

  5. people need to understand that the joker is dark and scary. his sense of humor isnt gonna make you laugh. its a sick sense of humor he has. its for his enjoyment. thats what i want to see.

  6. If you are a die hard like me then use a subplot with Dr. Hugo Strange running Arkham.Gotta know your DC !

  7. What’s the difference between “The Dark Knight” and “Batman”(1989)?

  8. You’re going to have to be more specific than that. A better question might be seeing what the difference is between “Batman Begins” and “Batman” (1989) by watching them both.
