The Dark Knight: Creepy Halloween Website Surprise?
Oct 19, 2007 by Vic HoltremanThe smart folks over at Superherohype.com discovered something interesting about WhySoSerious.com, a viral website related to the Batman Begins sequel: The Dark Knight. The image matches that of a classic Batman story from the comic book called The Long Halloween.
A Halloween pumpkin with a candle burning inside appeared on the site a few days ago, with a smile carved in the shape of the Batman logo. People immediately went about looking for some hidden clue or “Easter Egg” on the site but found nothing. Someone posted that they left the site open for nine hours, perhaps hoping for some hidden thing to appear as it did on one of the Cloverfield sites.
If you look closely at the image above, you’ll see that I spliced together two versions of the same pumpkin. The left side is from October 17th and the right side is from today, October 19th. Look at the candle and you’ll see that it has burned down a bit and is shorter today than it was a couple of days ago.
The logical conclusion would be that it will burn down to nothing sometime on October 31st, but what will appear on the site then is anyone’s guess. This is kind of a fun way to build up excitement for the movie and I think it’s pretty cool. In my opinion they’re handling this better than the crew behind the Cloverfield or 1-18-08 movie are doing.

I wonder if it’ll happen before that? Knowing the Joker, he’d do something like that.
Also, I think the trailer for 1-18-08 was brilliant, as was the site. But no real updates, except some cook holding something must’ve been added since I last visited.

Hmmm…..could be the countdaown to the Dark Knight trailer!! Which would be awesome!
countdown,I meant to say.
I can spell,you know:)
Just a quick little thing, of non-importance presumably. When you put the cursor arrow over the candle it reacts to it and moves away. Cool but like I said probably unimportant.
Man, with the recent Joker related nightmare I had and hearing the Heath’s Joker voice after the pumpkin promo thing, Jokers’s starting to creep me out my socks.
