  3. Ok firstly having just seen this film it is just awful. They were trying to portray the cartoons so why would they choose the spiderman acter to be a skinny nerd rather than the hench uy he is in the cartoons. Secondly the whole ‘spiderman transformation’ was also not to the cartoon or just generally how it happens as it was on the hand. As well as this they could have saved Gwens dad if they had given him the serum, then the antidote then he’d be fine because it would’ve healed him. Last but not least WHERE IS MARY JANE OR THE ANNOYING SMART ONE!!!!

    • dude, Im sorry but in my opinion you were a little off… In the comics and the cartoon Peter Parker was just a skinny nerd, even after his transformation. He isnt supposed to be buff and macho. Although I do agree with the whole saving Gwens dad with the serum. That part didnt make much sense and I concur. But with your last line of questioning where is Mary Jane? He is introduced to her through Gwen, they’re best friends. This is what happens in the comic.

  4. Overall I loved this movie, but a few dislikes:
-What happened to the man who killed Uncle Ben? I know it could maybe lead to something in the sequel but it’s almost as if they just lazily pushed the matter aside thinking “we can just finish it later.”
-The web shooters…. In the original Spiderman movie I love the way he has to figure out how to use them because it’s an actual part of him (although I don’t like how he runs out of web in SM2) and I think in TASM it’s a little stupid that he orders the web and builds shooters, which the Lizard then easily crushes in the end.. Very dissapointed in that part of the movie. What’s a spiderman without his web?
-It almost seems like after the spider bites Peter that nothing exactly happens to him besides giving him muscle and “spidey senses” which was also a little bit lazy on the part of the makers. I wish more of it could’ve become part of him (like the web-shooters)
-As much as I love Andrew Garfield as an actor for Peter, it’s a bit odd that he’s so secretive in the movie, it almost just makes him out to be a bit of a punk going behind everyone’s backs. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Stone and Garfield, but I didn’t like that besides Gwen, Peter has no friends in his school.. There were just no other main teen actors which was a bit dissapointing when in Raimi’s movie he had Harry.
-Also, as stated in earlier comments, I agree that it was a great action-filled movie, but at the end everything “just happened” to be perfectly in Peter’s favor at the end with the cranes and everything. And the fact that when he saved the little boy (which was a good part of the movie) he left everyone else hanging.. Didn’t make much sense but oh well.
-Okay so I know they were probably trying to add dramatic effect to the movie with officer Stacy’s death, but (as seen in earlier comments) Peter could have saved him with the antidote, or injected the lizard-stuff (whatever you’d call that) into him so it’s regenerating powers might heal him.

Anyways, just my input on the whole thing. If I had to rate it 1-10 I’d give it an 8.

  5. Oops ignore my first comment, it was an accident 😛

  6. What I can’t stop wondering is why does spider man loose his ability to stick to surfaces at the end during the release of the antigen? It’s weird enough the doctor seems to come to his senses just in time to save him, but once he is holding Peter with his bum arm, Peter seems unable to cling to the surface his feet are sliding off. Is it because the tower is made of some special glass? does the antigen affect him to? I found myself thinking “well this must be how they conclude the movie, Peter goes back to being a regular kid now that he has been cured. The gossip about a sequel must be rumors.” But seeing as he seems to be unaffected in the end before the credits I assume the effect is temporary? The lizard and police officers affected by the biotoxin will transform again and wreak havoc! (spoiler: no). Obviously this was thrown in there for dramatic effect. Did anyone notice how unnecessary this flawed scene was? Was there no other way to achieve a similar effect? (maybe Parker is falling from such a height so high it would kill him on impact but is saved/caught by the lizard a few seconds before his transformation is fully regressed)Oh what the inconsistencies and internal logic are. I decided to shut off the analytical part of my brain for a second and simply enjoy the movie.

  7. To me it looks like many of u havent read the comics, peters webs aren’t a part of him, he’s a brilliant scientist and he built them by himself, and gwen Stacy is his first love interest and then its MJ so she will be introduced later. I would say that The Amazing Spider-Man series will be a better franchise than the first one with the storyline of peters parents in it.
