The film adaptation of The A-Team has been in development for about a decade now. However, the John Singleton directed film finally has a release date.
So folks, get out your diary and pencil in June 12, 2009 as A-Team Day.
Just don’t get too excited, the film might have a release date, but it does not have a cast. There is no A-Team!!
When John Singleton first came on board we have learned that Ice Cube was in negotiations to play B.A Baracus, and that Singleton would like to cast Woody Harrelson as Murdock. Then things went quiet.

Since the film was first in development everyone from Mel Gibson to Bruce Willis and George Clooney has been mooted to star as the team’s leader Hannibal, but in the past few years there hasn’t been any news on who might play the cigar chomping Colonel. Going by the standards of Hollywood today, they might even “go young.”
Now with the release date things should begin to fall into place. This plan may finally be coming together.
The A-Team is scheduled to be released on June 12, 2009

I have a bad feeling about this film.
I would love to see an A-Team movie! I LOVED this show when I was growing up. I am looking forward to hearing more information on this!!
Matt Damon as “Face”? Owen Wilson as “Murdock”? Alec Baldwin as “Hannibal?” Christopher Judge as “B.A. Barracus”? I have no idea what I am talking about, do I? LOL!
How bout casting Mr T for BA Baracus?

No disrespect intended, 790. Chris Judge would be a good choice, IMO, because the dude is STACKED from working on SG-1 and is in the right age bracket.
I do have to leave one comment though. What’s next? A “Fall Guy” movie??
Naw Mr T could work out for the role and get pumped up.

Why not have the same cast (replacing George with George ‘Clooney’)? It would be the right balance, keep with the cast ages from the orig and just make it a bit more ‘adult’ and it would probably be a ‘hit’ for Universal and a new ‘attraction’ on the tour. (Anyone remember the old one where Waterworld is now?) Seem like a real easy on this time. Maybe give the A-Team a little bit more ‘Target Practice’ tho. Seems like they put a lot of rounds in the dirt on the old show. Good Hunting! -Stark
