I am not sure how Bale being an actor and being filmed is some kind of justification for his behavior. Unfortunately, it does affect my desire to see his movies. The guy is paid millions for his very talented skills. It showed a lack of humility and professionalism for him to act that way on set. He should have stopped the scene, took the issue up with McG, and then let McG talk to the guy. I can’t see someone like Tom Hanks doing something like that. These people make more on one film than you or I will in our lifetimes probably. You and I can’t act that way at our jobs, neither should they.

I had already read Harry’s post about the issue, it was pathetic. He spent the whole article making one giant excuse for Bale. Harry has long since lost relevancy. They are usually days late posting news items and the reviews (Harry’s especially) are terrible, lacking any objectivity. That’s why I come to Screenrant.

And next time you disagree, try to be a little less condescending. Dave was able to make a point other than mine without talking down to me, you should be able to as well.

Personally, I have no idea what it’s like being a movie star having every second of your life recorded by camera, but I’m glad you feel confident enough that you understand what that would be like to judge Bale. Obviously there is no excuse for Bale’s behavior, but come on, one incident is going to poison you against an actor for life? Have you never lost your temper?

I agree with you 90% of the way but Bale is not Terminator. The LD failed when he walked in on a scene. That’s a no-no in hollywood and while I’ve only done a couple of stage productions for local theatre, that’s obeyed there. Never interfere with a scene until it is done.
Having said that, Bale should have been fired (not going to happen) or at least properly handled and that’s the fault of a bad director not handing bad egos.
Bale, in my opinion has a serious anger management problem that’s only going to get worse unless it’s dealt with. You coddle a star like that and you are asking for trouble.

I would normally say I would be checking this site frequently but I just heard the audio where Bale screamed down the director of photography on set. I had thought that he seemed to be pretty good guy but it seems he is just another prima donna/prick like all the rest. I love to hear a guy making millions threaten to quit unless a working stiff is fired. My interest in Terminator: Salvation has considerably cooled as a result.
