New ‘Terminator Salvation’ Stills Hint At Story Elements

A batch of new stills for this summer’s Terminator Salvation has been released by Columbia Pictures and we collected the best of them here for you.

The new images present us with some new looks at all of the main characters in the film and hint at many of the different atmospheres and settings that the movie will take place in.

Take a look and see what you think:

If you look closely enough, you’ll see that all of these new images strangely have a scan-lines effect which we’ve not seen in previous photos or the trailers. The images also partially hint at story elements showing what appears to be Kyle Reese and other human survivors getting attacked and him and Jada Grace’s character getting captured in an internment camp. I assume that’s when John Connor and others coming through the sewers to the rescue.

I think these picture are great and I’m very excited for this film – If you haven’t ready (or even if you have), check out the newest trailer for Terminator Salvation.

  1. looks great

  2. Looking pretty good so far. Could Christian Bale own summer 09 as well? We’ll have to wait and see.

  3. I want to see Moon Bloodgood shooting a real desert eagle one-handed with REAL rounds not blanks… That should be pretty funny to watch…

  4. Ken you are obsessed with guns dude…who cares if she can’t shoot it in real life with one hand or if she would do it badly? It’s a movie..eagle schmeagle….

The still looks cool and I am really looking forward to this film..

  5. Looks cool though they stole Mel’s Mad Max truck

  6. Um, actually if anything defied simple known physics I would notice it. Here’s an example, in the trailer, when the truck hits the car, it flips up and over the truck. Now, if you look closely, it actually travels backwards, not just over the truck and the truck drives underneath it, but it rolls backwards. That’s physically impossible since the force of the impact should have actually pushed the vehicle forward as well as upward if there is a wedge type thing on the front of the truck.

I mean, yes, it’s a movie, so you let things that aren’t real like time travel, killer robots, futuristic tech, etc. go because there’s really no real world reference, but just because they are in the future fighting killer robots doesn’t mean weapons behave differently or physics don’t exist anymore. Would you enjoy the movie if all of a sudden humans can fly? Should I go “oh man, you are obsessed with gravity dude…who cares if she can’t fly in real life without wings or if she would fall badly? It’s a movie..gravity schmavity….”??

But whatever makes you feel better, you’re free to say it so don’t let me stop you… :-)

  7. @ Lord Garth, all they need now is his Ford Falcon, lol

  8. @GK, anyway, you got me all into it, all I was saying is that it would be a funny thing to watch. Unless you don’t think watching a firearm fly out of someone’s hands, the firearm coming back and smacking them in the head, or them being knocked on their ass a funny thing to watch, not sure why you’re griping about it anyhow. I think all of those things would be hilarious things to see, lol. Youtube it… :-D

  9. “Would you enjoy the movie if all of a sudden humans can fly? Should I go “oh man, you are obsessed with gravity dude…who cares if she can’t fly in real life without wings or if she would fall badly? It’s a movie..gravity schmavity….”??”

    Semantics Ken just semantics

We know people are not going to fly in this movie unless a flying terminator picks them up and carries them off..most movies where guns are being fired they are being held or used inappropriately..[the big one that stands out in my mind is Predator when Mac picks up that huge gun..not sure what it is but it has some freakin large caliper bullets and he wields it with one hand and basically deforests 20 acres of rainforest trying to hit the predator..I know this is not bloody likely anymore than a predator with a moral code not to kill anything unarmed but I still enjoyed the movie] and there are many, many others Ken…but it will not take away from my enjoyment of the film because I don’t care if she can really fire that eagle schmeagle with one hand without it breaking her wrist, smacking her in the face or whatever else it might really do..as long as she fires it and makes it look like it is plausible…I don’t think somebody hurting themselves by improperly using a firearm is funny ..I guess I don’t have your sense of humor… I did youtube misuse of firearms and some things were OOWWWW!! Still not funny though..

  10. Wait, are you talking about the minigun? I believe the minigun they were using in Predator was firing 5.56, it comes in many calibers, I think anything over 5.56mm like the 7.62x51mm one Arnold uses in Terminator 2, are meant to be mounted because the recoil would be impossible to control if hand-held.

But the one in predator I think was 5.56mm (which is just a bit bigger than a .22 cal in diameter) and he also used two hande, you just don’t see the other hand because they are held apart (one on top to hold up the weapon, one on the back to fire it and to “pan” the weapon)

Mac was the bald black guy right? The one that shaves out of nervousness? lol

  11. Oops, two hands, lol. SR should have spell check for idiots like myself… :-P

  12. Yeah that Mac…

Again Ken you have to see my point obsessed dude…thanks for the lesson on guns again..you truly are a FREAK when it comes to guns and I don’t mean that in a nasty way..I’m the same for all things medically related.. :)

  13. Everyone has their interests, lol. I think medical stuff is the one area where I’m not really into. I know little things here and there, but wouldn’t consider it one of my “interests.”

  14. Someone should be using a Colt Python

I loves me a Colt Python!!!

    Kenster

Who wins: Lord Humongeous or a Terminator? – No guns

    Spin the wheel brother

  15. This movie looks very good, and very realistic, it feels like it could happen. I’ll be watching it.
And with Public Enemies as well, Bale going to have a nice Summer.

  16. anton yelchin and cristian bale are beatiful..!
    I love you..!
