It's just a bad picture, my teeth are completely realistic looking... (really, it is, if you look at the T-800 skull closely, it has human looking teeth. James Cameron actually put some thought into it...
  • John "Kahless" Taylor
You need to brush those teeth of yours too. Gray teeth are a turnoff to the ladies. :-)
  • Ken J
What you talking about? I'm completely healthy. A little glossy, but a little bit of living tissue over this metal endo-skeleton and that can be fixed...
  • John "Kahless" Taylor
Your avatar is your real face, huh? Well, you seem to need a bit more fat in your diet. And your eyes look like Gambit's. Do I send all e-mail to destroyhumans@skynet.com? 8-)
  • Ken J
Yah, that sounds like a good idea. Just like how I have MY real face as my gravatar... :-P
  • John "Kahless" Taylor
    @Ken J
LOL! That picture makes me look a lot thinner than I actually am. I would make a very good Klingon. I think I will change my gravatar to my actual face.
  • Ken J
Nah, this is fine, I am just messing with you. I figure this is why they can never hire you to play a part in Star Trek because you wouldn't be able to wipe the ear to ear grin off your face, lol.
  • John "Kahless"Taylor
Yeah, I used the trekyourself program that Vic showed us. Would you prefer my original Spock gravatar?
  • Ken J
Man, your gravatar is kind of creepy. Maybe it's because you're smiling so much, Spock doesn't really smile, lol.
  • John "Kahless" Taylor
    @Ken J
Immature it was. The movie was nearly NC-17.

And where were you to smack me upside the head for even thinking about going to see this? :-)
  • Ken J
I can't believe you actually wasted your money on this. What I can never understand, is why they needed to install the artificial heart in the first place. If his heart is good enough to be sold, then technically, shouldn't his original heart been good enough to keep him alive for the other organs in the first place??

It's pretty stupid. And I don't think it's weird to see 15 year old kids there. Vulgarity really appeals mostly to people in that age group. More mature people like you and I could care less. That's why I've always felt that rating systems are actually backward. It seems the higher the rating, the more immature it is...
  • John "Kahless" Taylor
I went to see Crank 2 today but missed the Transformer 2 trailer. I must say, I was not impressed with Crank 2. The movie didn't take itself seriously, which is good, but they overplayed vulgarity to the point where I just wondered what they were trying to accomplish.

    ***** SPOILERS AHEAD *****

The movie takes place immediately after Statham falls from the chopper and is taken by the Triads. His heart is removed and replaced with an artificial one. They are trying to keep him alive to harvest his organs for the leader of the Triads. To stay alive, he must charge his body with electricity which in turn charges the heart. The movie is all about Statham trying to get his heart back. From what I saw, the movie nearly broke the X-rating. Don't get me wrong, the action sequences were good and over-the-top but I just kept shaking my head with all the vulgarity. One thing that really irked me was to see children under 15 in the audience. Some parents need to be slapped.

can't wait to see terminator. Posters for this flick are off the charts - amazing art.

    Careful Vic ...

There's a lot of teenage video game aggression out there that doesn't care a lick about a good story. Crank 2 relies on that and guess what ... I hear they are now on the interwebs.
    AAAHHHHHHHHH!

Freakin' Gore and his inventions. :)
  • @huggy

    I'll take that bet. :-)

no, what i meant was people were expecting it to be good since raimi's previous films were excellent then he suprised us and gave us that pile of garbage
  • huggybear
@Matt, you mean Spider-man 3 is a good film? Because i think that movie was beyond awful. Emo Peter Parker dancing. Yukk.
  • huggybear
Vic, you of little faith :)

Ok, here's the deal. I bet 10 galactic invisible dollars Crank 2 will have a higher score on rotten tomatoes than Terminator "unnecessary sequel by a lousy filmmaker" Salvation.

Well, the rest of you guys, we all have our different opinions, i just presume the movie will suck, and i hope i'm wrong, so we'll just have to wait and see.
  • INK
Vic said "I’m betting you’ve got it backwards. To me Crank 2 looks like a vile, disgusting piece of crap."

Pretty much like the first one, which I am still waiting to here from my lawyers about the lawsuit I filed to reimburse me for the hour-and-a-half's worth of time I spent on thatridiculously stupid, waste of celluloid, pile of dung of a movie.

    Terminator ... can't wait!

    huggybear

mcg can always suprise us w/ a good film just like raimi suprised us w/ spiderman 3, the more exprience mcg gets as a director the more better he will get; a good director can always suprise us w/ a bad film and a bad director can always suprise us w/ a good film, so i wouldnt be quick to assume the movie will suck just b/c mcg is directing it
  • Ken J
@ huggybear, too bad every critic, movie blogger, etc. and their mothers who have seen anything from the film so far say that it seems very well put together and directed. Oh well, hope you have a lot of salt and pepper for that hat.
  • @huggybear

I'm betting you've got it backwards. To me Crank 2 looks like a vile, disgusting piece of crap.

    Vic
  • huggybear
    Ha, you'll all see :)

    Listen up.

The thing about Crank 2 that it it is supposed to be silly and stupid! It's a Statham over-the-top action flick.

Now, about Terminator Salvation, that's supposed to be a masterful narrative, but it looks to me just like a bunch of special effects and no heart. So, my expectations are:

Crank 2 will be a fun, mindless satisfying movie.

Terminator Salvation will be a non-fun, confusing, soulless kaboom action goulash. McG couldn't direct himself out of a box, let alone tackle such big project like a Terminator flick.

Mark my words. Terminator WILL suck. Chances it won't are pretty slim, in my opinion.
  • @ huggybear,

    Best start eating...

    ;)
  • Ken J
@huggy, is there really a chance in hell that it wouldn't be? lol. I don't know, sure McFlurry has a very mixed resume, from the horribly stupid like Charlie's Angels to the ok like We Are Marshall, but we already know the stupidity that will ensue with Crank 2. And to be honest, I haven't completely made up my mind about him despite Charlie's Angels because with a script like that, I doubt even the best director in the world would have made good movies out of those... So I'm still kind of neutral (but now cautiously optimistic due to materials already released from Terminator) when it comes to that, but like I said, we already know just how "good" Crank 2 will be based on all of the other movies he's done lately, Crank, Transporter 2, 3... War was pretty stupid too... What a waste of two decent action stars...
  • huggybear
I'll eat my hat if Crank 2 is worse than Terminator Salvation.
  • Andy S
Also, I'm sure I am not the only one who noticed, but in the Terminator poster the eyes on the head are still red....does that mean it's still functional?
  • Andy S
That Terminator poster is awesome. I'm hoping to have that one framed up some day!

I like Statham, his movies are usually pretty entertaining. I admit I have not seen Crank yet, so I will hold judgement on whether Crank 2 is justified or not...although I REALLY like Amy Smart... :P
  • dudelove
I never said Crank 2 looks good, it looks bad enough to be fun.

Terminator might end up being a little pretentious, given Nolan's writing style.
  • Ken J
Crank 2 looks good but Terminator might be "overreaching." So basically you have very low standards right? lol :-P
