Uuhh, chris, I’m not shying away from anything, I thought you were just trying to be rhetorical. Something called technology changes, they are able to put more detail, like they do in EVERY sequel… the practical dummies looked different from T1 to T2 as well… The future war sequence also had a few differences between those two, probably also attributed to advances in technology and filming techniques…

He stayed true to Alien because they reproduced the same way, they killed in the same manner, Ripley didn’t magically change age, etc…

I apoligize for what i was saying, i forgot i was i said earlier about how Arnold being a T-800. It was one my friends confusing me on the subject cause of what he both heard on T2 and T3. You guys can go back to page 5 on here, and read my comment about the T-800. Date was 6-21-09

c,mon Ken, dont shy away from the question. why didnt Cameron stay true to Scott’s alien’s look? make up somthing. and i didnt say T3 was a perfect movie. T1 will always be my favorite outta the franchise. John’s age wasnt that big of a deal. have some high sight about corny of what a 10 yr can do that a adult can. cry me a river. made more since for john to be 13 so he can be older in the new films. Again Ken or Mike, why doesnt arnold simply emply hes a T-800 instead of a T-101 as he mentioned he was in T2 and T3. As for the T3 ending with the blast door, didnt it ever occur that maybe it jammed? Anyways, im thru with people who are in such denial of facts. Consider the conversation over with.

ya i thought shoulder too, but i figured he being a machine and all and as much effort as to took him to hold up the door with his arms, dont think his chassi/ shoulder be able to support it. and i definantly dont think hed be able to move to easy.

i dont think thats hating, has nothing to do with the terminator verse. just an oversight the director must have made on purpose to better capture the drama in the scene.
like spielburg did in jurassic park.

Actually, that’s exactly what I thought too the first time I saw it. But apparently the camera is on him, he’s holding the door up, the camera moves away and back on him and now magically he’s on his side so his arms are free, lol. Not exactly sure how he’s able to move his arms so freely and with so much dexterity and power when his shoulders are being crushed by a huge ass blast door, but whatever, don’t want to seem like a “hater” rich…

Forget it mike, according to him, T3 is a perfect movie and it’s impossible that the movie makers made a mistake. John Connor wasn’t 10 like the computer monitor on T2 said he was, he’s 13 because the makers of T3 said so, and the T-800 model 101 is now a T-101 Model 101 aka T-800 or something, whatever, because T3 said so… Anyone who thinks otherwise is just “hating” on the movies for no reason at all, regardless of the reasons we state. So who cares…

anyone else notice in t3 when hes under the bomb door at the end he develops a third arm, one arm grabs the tx, one opens his chest up, whats holding the door up??

lol i guess you could throw different ideas out there, but that door was coming down quick, maybe it broke.

Chris, why do you keep posting about James Cameron? We’re just letting you know how T3 and T4 were inconsistent with the first two movies. Count the number of times we’ve mentioned Cameron and count the number of times you have.

T3 & 4 are inconsistent with the first two films. Keep defending or attacking Cameron if you want, I think the blame actually lies with Ferris and Brancato.

Man, this is hilarious. The FACT is, James Cameron INVENTED this Terminator universe. So anything to do with the Terminator franchise is DETERMINED by him. It doesn’t matter if YOU think T-101 makes sense or not, the only thing that matters is if James Cameron referred to them as that, and he didn’t, and never intended it. What I explained is the way Cameron explained it, so sorry, if T3 didn’t follow this, then they are wrong.

And before you cop-out and simply call me a “hater” I didn’t “hate” T4, I found that the plot was pretty sloppy and there were a lot of plot holes, but the action scenes by themselves were pretty entertaining so overall I enjoyed watching it.

But a fact is a fact, it has nothing to do with T3 not being directed by Cameron, someone else could direct it, as long as they stick to what’s already set to be true, then it’s ok. Speaking of Cameron, here’s an example, Aliens. The first was done by Ridley Scott, the sequel was done by Cameron. Do we “hate” Aliens because it wasn’t directed by the same person? No, because Cameron kept it true to what was set by the ORIGINAL.

These are not comic books, you cannot “ret-con” the information from T3 to be true for the original T1 and T2. What they have set as fact needs to be followed, if not, then it’s wrong, simple as that.

If you enjoyed T3, great, nothing wrong with that, but stop being unrealistic and defending things that cannot be defended. T3 got several things wrong, that’s it, you can still like the movie despite these mistakes, I liked many movies that made mistakes, the only difference is I don’t fool myself into believing that these mistakes didn’t happen. Don’t take it personally like you are married to the person in charge of the movie or something, geez.

Chris, in T2 after Arnold saves John, when they go into the alley on the bike, he refers to himself as a T-800 explaining what he is to John.

In T3, he mistakenly refers to himself as a T-101.

LMFAO . tell me when a terminator refers itself as a T-800. If you can that is. I find it pathetic people hate T3 and Salvation mainly because they werent directed by James Cameron and dont admit it. Maybe i should even follow Terminator: TSCC timeline instead since Judgement day doesnt happen or does it. i wouldnt know since i dont watch it.

WOW chris, the model number is the look of the exterior skin, the T-### is the type of endoskeleton. T-800 is Arnold’s endoskeleton type, model 101 is what makes him appear like Arnold. So technically there should be a Cyberdyne Systems Model 100 that would be technically identical since it’s still a T-800, but would have a different face. Then there could be a Model 99, Model 102, Model 55, all T-800’s… Not really so difficult to understand really, T3 made a mistake, also a simple concept. It happens all the time, movie makers make mistakes…

Sorry about your confusion but model 101 is the T-101. In T2 arnold mentioned himself cyberdyne systems 101. It seems to me you’re mixing whatever i say up still. dont tell me it has somthing to do with James Cameron not directing T3 or Salvation. Cause thats all i hear from whiners is a terminator movie is no movie unless its directed by James Cameron. Im thru argueing with ya. this conversation is over.

No Chris, watch it again. He calls it a “Cyberdyne Systems Model 101, T-800″ not a T-800.

The T3 writers got confused and combined the “T” from “T-800″ and the “101″ from the “Cyberdyne Systems Model 101″ and mistakenly called him a “T-101″ in T3.

According to Cameron’s script, it is a CSM 101, T-800.

The T3 writers got confused and called it a T-101.

An actual T-101 would be one of the very first terminators, far less advanced than the T-600.

Arnold Machine (according to T1 & T2):

Model: CSM-101
Make: T-800 Series

Don’t you see the T3 writers mistake, they took the model number and the letter from the make series and combined them into a “T-101″ which doesn’t make sense.

In T1, reese mentioned the terminator as a T-101. Except in the film that reese says it this way to Sarah. (( Reese: Not a man, a machine. A terminator, model 101.)) He mentioned the T-600 as 600 series which would be the T-600 terminator line.

Chris, please stop putting words in my mouth.

I don’t think it’s a T-101. It’s a T-800. I’m upset at the T3 writers for screwing it up and mistakenly writing him as a T-101 where Arnold actually calls himself that in T3 and says the machine from T2 was also a T-101.

The movie made the mistake, not I, and now you seem to be trying to attribute it to me for some reason.

Also, Reese doesn’t mention his own name to Sarah because:

- at that point he’s not even sure he fathers John
- John never told him who his real father was
- records of John’s father were lost, all that was known was that he died before the war

At least you’re recognizing that you were wrong about Reese saying that John died before the war and you’re attempting to backtrack. Do it properly and correct yourself though, don’t change what I’ve been saying. Admit you were wrong, don’t weasel out of your mistake.

Ok ken, sure, Reese hints to Sarah about his own demise, only he doesnt mention his name probly because he doesnt wanna the time continuem. What was said in T2 doesnt mean anything cause we know down the road John will get terminated. By the way, im aware its called the T-800, its mike who think of it as a T-101. make sure you read above messages clearly.
