I think the London idea is a real case of shark jumping. I hope the other rumor is true (http://notasoul.t35.com/shh) as it seems to repair the continuity and set up for a great connor vs t-connor 3rd movie.

Terminator 2 is and always has been a rare example of a truly great sequel, but is is a completely different to T1. Making sequels solely for money is never a good idea, if there is a story to be told, something interesting for the characters to do, then it is justifiable. But most of the time sequel are poor in quality, not all I admit.

Oh, and BTW, movies in general, not just sequals, all movies, are pretty much produced and made for money. But that's not a bad thing. The money is the incentive for creative people to keep trying to be creative. As long as they are actually earning that money and not trying to trick that money out of us I'm happy. Terminator 2 was a sequel, it was made for money, but dammit, James Cameron EARNED that money. I paid a lot of money toward T2 and T2 related stuff, but it is money well spent in my opinion.

Nick Stahl, for real? You mean you thought Johon Connor was some p***y that can't even run straight without tripping and falling and crying for help? I'm sorry, but I thought John Connor was a bad-ass, not the little pansy he was in T3, I wanted to kick his ass in like every scene...

Bale was horribly miscast as Connor as well, but at least he wasn't a p***y like the John Connor of T3...

The Terminator franchise is a case of, just leave it alone! Like The Matrix and Pirates Of The Carribean, sometimes making sequels just for the sake of making money is a bad idea.
Oh wait, hang on, that is the only reason they make sequels.

T3 wasnt as bad as T4. I believed that Nick Stahl was John Connor, in T4, all I could think of was how come Batman was in the future fighting Skynet!

Worse, he called himself a T-101... But whatever, that's the least of its problems... I think T3 and T4 both could have been semi-ok movies if they were stand-alone standard fare brainless action movies not related to the existing Terminator franchise. I think Cameron's Terminator is simply too high of a standard to meet...

Well yeah, T3 is a very poorly written script. They couldn't even get the Terminator's series model right. He's a T-800, not a T-850

It's funny in T3 how Arnold's Terminator treats Kate Brewster like crap all through the beginning, then when he explains that Connor is dead and that she had sent him, then ALL OF A SUDDEN he's taking orders from her, lol. That's like those cheesy commercials for pain medications where the person is aching, then just mentioning the pain medication, magically the person is pain free, lol.

McLaney,

The backstory of T3 hasn't happened yet. When the Arnold model kills John Connor and Kate takes over, it's either in the year 2032 or after, as described in T3. T4 took place in 2018. They still got a lot of continuity wrong. Hopefully they'll throw out the last two films and just start over.

Uuhh, chris, I'm not shying away from anything, I thought you were just trying to be rhetorical. Something called technology changes, they are able to put more detail, like they do in EVERY sequel... the practical dummies looked different from T1 to T2 as well... The future war sequence also had a few differences between those two, probably also attributed to advances in technology and filming techniques...

He stayed true to Alien because they reproduced the same way, they killed in the same manner, Ripley didn't magically change age, etc...

c,mon Ken, dont shy away from the question. why didnt Cameron stay true to Scott's alien's look? make up somthing. and i didnt say T3 was a perfect movie. T1 will always be my favorite outta the franchise. John's age wasnt that big of a deal. have some high sight about corny of what a 10 yr can do that a adult can. cry me a river. made more since for john to be 13 so he can be older in the new films. Again Ken or Mike, why doesnt arnold simply emply hes a T-800 instead of a T-101 as he mentioned he was in T2 and T3. As for the T3 ending with the blast door, didnt it ever occur that maybe it jammed? Anyways, im thru with people who are in such denial of facts. Consider the conversation over with.

ya i thought shoulder too, but i figured he being a machine and all and as much effort as to took him to hold up the door with his arms, dont think his chassi/ shoulder be able to support it. and i definantly dont think hed be able to move to easy.

i dont think thats hating, has nothing to do with the terminator verse. just an oversight the director must have made on purpose to better capture the drama in the scene.
like spielburg did in jurassic park.

Actually, that's exactly what I thought too the first time I saw it. But apparently the camera is on him, he's holding the door up, the camera moves away and back on him and now magically he's on his side so his arms are free, lol. Not exactly sure how he's able to move his arms so freely and with so much dexterity and power when his shoulders are being crushed by a huge ass blast door, but whatever, don't want to seem like a "hater" rich...

Forget it mike, according to him, T3 is a perfect movie and it's impossible that the movie makers made a mistake. John Connor wasn't 10 like the computer monitor on T2 said he was, he's 13 because the makers of T3 said so, and the T-800 model 101 is now a T-101 Model 101 aka T-800 or something, whatever, because T3 said so... Anyone who thinks otherwise is just "hating" on the movies for no reason at all, regardless of the reasons we state. So who cares...
