Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is the upcoming sequel to the 2014 reboot of the live-action TMNT movie franchise, yet for many it's regarded as semi-fresh start for the rebooted Turtles series - including, some of the cast and crew who worked on the 2014 live-action film reboot. Case in point: among other things, Out of the Shadows will feature a different actor playing The Shredder (Brian Tee) and wearing a new mask/armor to boot; the addition of human vigilante Casey Jones, now played by Arrow's Stephen Amell; and the long-awaited big screen debut of the mutant thugs Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (WWE Star Sheamus), among other fan-favorite characters from TMNT cartoon TV shows, comic books, and video games past.

Evil alien Krang will also be making his live-action film debut in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, as was first confirmed by the movie's producer Michael Bay - and then by the film's Super Bowl 2016 preview, where Turtles fans got their first look at the extraterrestrial and his "Mandroid" suit. Krang also make an appearance near the end of the new Out of the Shadows TV trailer that has now been released online. Give it a watch, above.

The vast majority of the footage in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows TV trailer had already been revealed in either the first theatrical trailer or the Super Bowl teaser for the film, though there are pieces of fresh material here and there (see the clips from Krang's Technodrome attack on New York City in the movie). However, Paramount has also released a fresh pair of character posters for Out of the Shadows, featuring none other than the fully-transformed Bebop and Rocksteady. In addition, we have a limited edition poster by Gallery1988 artist Dave Quiggle - artwork that was made available to those who attended the 2016 WonderCon in Los Angeles today (at the time of writing this), at the TMNT booth - depicting the Turtles and their new-and-improved "Turtle Van".

Regardless of whether you loved, hated, or were indifferent towards the 2014 TMNT movie, most Turtles fans should be able to agree that Out of the Shadows look bigger, crazier, and more cartoony than its predecessor - in a good way, that is. IN fact, with so many new elements of the larger TMNT mythos being introduced in this upcoming film installment, there is fair reason to be concerned that the cast and crew of Out of the Shadows might be going too far with their attempts at course-correction for the franchise. Then again, there's just as much (if not more) reason to think that the TMNT reboot sequel could be the gloriously goofy and splashy Turtles adventure that many are hoping for.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows was scripted by TMNT (2014) writers Josh Applebaum and André Nemec, but directed by franchise newcomer Dave Green (Earth to Echo). TMNT (2014) motion-capture actors Pete Ploszek (Leonardo), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), and Alan Ritchson (Raphael) have all returned for the sequel, along with Megan Fox (April O'Neil) and Will Arnett (Vernon Fenwick) as well as new additions Tyler Perry (Baxter Stockman) and Laura Linney (playing a high-ranking NYPD officer).
