While this year’s major Disney Pixar film, Up, opens today in theaters, we have a little something to get you looking forward to the 3-D animated feature we’ll be treated to next year by the same studio.
That’s right, you guessed it… Toy Story 3! The movie everyone has been waiting on for a very long time brings back all our favorites including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Rex, Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog and even our little green plastic soldiers among the many others and some new faces. The movie will finally be returning to the silver screen and we have a little teaser video of the characters telling you this themselves.

The trailer shows nothing of the story, new environments or any of the new characters of the movie, yet it still serves me well. Brand name alone would sell me in this case, but having the movie and its release date presented to us with all the key familiar characters of old (with the amazing voice cast participating of course!) helps remind me of the happy times we all had watching the first two. It’s a perfect tease that I’m sure will get many a little excited to see more leading up to its opening next summer.
Toy Story 1 & 2 are perfect films for all audiences: smart, funny and amazingly entertaining. Both films sit at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes (yes, that’s a perfect fresh rating… for both) and I’ll certainly be there opening weekend to see the third installment.

Nice teaser. Just wondering, with Jim Varney’s passing,does anyone know whose playing Slinky dog? He didn’t say much of anything in this trailer so I couldn’t decide whether it was a good imitation or not.
Damn, does that mean I have to go rent Toy Story 1 and 2 and watch those before this one comes out? lol
I rented and watched TRON finally, pretty good, can’t wait for TRON 2.
@Ken J – You apparently do NOT have kids. I discern this information by the fact that you have rent Toy Story 1 and 2. IF you had kids, you would not only own both films, but would be forced to watch them mercilessly on loop playback everyday of the year.
I don’t have kids and I own both and have watched them countless times.

And while people are want to say that Toy Story 2 is better than the first (and don’t get me wrong, it’s damn good), I’ll always prefer the first Toy Story, if only because it’s humor is a tiny bit more edgy and the climax more exciting.
Yah, I have to go rent them… I missed the first one, so I didn’t see the second one because that’ll be weird. So I have to go back and see the first one before I can watch the second.

Is there any studio better than Pixar at these animated shorts? Even for just a teaser trailer, everyone is in character; funny, smart, it’s all there.

The defendant will have any and all Capslock licenses suspended until appropriate Capslock training has been taken and Gunsmith is found to be of sound mind and keyboard.

I lived on these movies, granted i was 1 when the firt one came out but now i can enjoy them like the second one, than you for making a third one
Great trailer. That worked very well as a trailer. It’s a short story of its own instead of being like the short version of the movie.
Geez….June 2010. Wow. Man, I was 5 when the first one came out. I remember watching it as a kid. 15 years later I’m driving myeslf to see the sequel with my GF. Uncanny…
Yeah, that’s quite a gap in years between the last movie. Almost ten years, right? At least they’ve got the same cast.

I loved Toy Story 1 and 2 and very excited to watch Toy Story 3. Very nice teaser. It seems to be really funny. Will definitely watch this movie.
