R-rated comic book ventures have become enticing in recent years. Deadpool broke box office records, but two years before it was Kingsman: The Secret Service that gave a glimpse of the fun that could be had with such films. The Fox-run properties are both based on comic books, and the studio is hoping for two R-rated successes this year in the wildly different Logan and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

Logan is a dramatic western character study, while it is anticipated that The Golden Circle will contain more of the same crude humor and over-the-top violence as its predecessor. This is why, for Kingsman star Taron Egerton, he would want to see Eggsy meet up with Ryan Reynold's Deadpool more than anyone else.

MTV spoke to Egerton for his newest role in Sing, but also asked about the future direction of Kingsman. While a long shot, should Eggsy get to crossover with any superhero, the star says that Deadpool would be the best fit. That said, he is terrified of the mischief that would ensure upon such an encounter:

"That's a hell of a question. I guess the tone of Deadpool would probably lend itself best. You know, some of the others are a little bit more family orientated, whereas Kingsman and Deadpool are both pretty R. So I guess maybe that would work quite well. Ryan's a great guy, I met him very recently.

Eggsy and Deadpool, who knows. I dread to think what those boys would get up to."

A crossover of this proportion is far-fetched, but it's easy to see how the two could play well together. Both characters have a natural charm and wit to them that make any potential comedic exchanges between the two reason enough to want the crossover. Furthermore, both excel in combat and the less-grounded world of Kingsman would be a great sandbox for Deadpool to play in -- just imagine Deadpool's reaction to the exploding heads in the first film.

Even though a Kingsman/Deadpool crossover will likely never happen, that does not leave out the possibility of Reynolds landing a role in a future Kingsman film or Egerton popping up in a Deadpool sequel. Egerton after all has been a fan favorite to play a young Wolverine once Hugh Jackman is done, which only further raises the question as to why Egerton and Reynolds recently met. As of right now, fans shouldn't get their hopes up about Eggsy and Deadpool sharing the screen anytime soon.
