Second Trailer for Disneys Tangled Official Trailer For Disneys Tangled Mixes Action & Humor

Walt Disney Pictures will release its 50th full-length animated feature, Tangled, this Thanksgiving.  A new trailer has been released for the film, which will – if nothing else – feel different that the company’s previous takes on classic princess stories like Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty.

Tangled is a takeoff on the fairy tale of Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore), who in the film is – according to the official synopsis – “a feisty teen with 70 feet of golden hair who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years.”

Rapunzel at long last finds her savior, albeit in the unexpected form of a bandit named Flynn Rider (voice of Zachary Levi).  The two soon find themselves caught up in a grand adventure – one ripe with danger, mystery, romance, and a handful of cutesy animal sidekicks and oddball supporting characters.

The second teaser trailer for Tangled revealed little in the way of plot details and focused primarily on scenes of broad physical comedy and Rapunzel’s ability to control her hair at will.  While the full trailer mostly hints at potential twists and turns in the plot of Tangled, it does paint a clearer picture of the film’s narrative.  Those who really want to know nothing about the movie in advance, you have been warned.

Check out the official Tangled trailer below [MILD SPOILER ALERT]:

It seems odd that Flynn is the one who provides the narration in this trailer – if only because Tangled looks to (naturally) be more about Rapunzel than him.  The film’s characters bear a resemblance to those in Disney’s 2D animated features, in terms of design, while the animation does have an interesting painterly-like glow to it.

A Disney cartoon is generally a safe bet at the box office, especially when it is released during or around the holiday season. Regardless of whether or not Tangled ends up being as memorable a moviegoing experience as previous Disney animated films, it should be fairly popular with the family crowd.

Tangled arrives in regular and 3D theaters in the U.S. on November 24th, 2010.

  1. This looks pretty cool..i like Zacharys voice acting!

  2. I didn’t think The Princess and the Frog would be any good and was pleasentl surprised, nothing groundbreaking, or as good as the early 90′s disney, but still pretty good. I’m hoping this goes the same way.
