Summary
Blumhouse and company bring more horror to the October forefront with The Visitor starring Finn Jones and Jessica McNamee as Maia. This couple recently moved back to Maia's hometown after a string of tragedies culminating in her father's death occur. What seems to be a friendly and welcoming township turns twisted when Jake finds a portrait in the attic - a portrait that looks identical to him. The man and his portrait are known to the locals as "the visitor" and begin to warn the couple to leave as the Visitor's emergence spells doom for the town. When Maia decides it's all superstition and shrugs off the warnings as nothing, deaths begin to befall the peaceful town, leading Jake to worry for everyone's safety - and his own sanity. The Visitor was released via the Epix streaming service on October 7 2022.
