<p>Warner Bros.-based horror label Dark Castle has just picked up the rights to the graphic novel <em><strong>The Nye Incidents</strong></em>, an alien abduction/murder mystery released by indie comic company Devil&#8217;s Due Productions, back in July of 2008.</p>
<p>Usually I would say &#8220;Score one for comic book films!&#8221; except that A) I know nothing about this comic book; B) At first glance <strong>The Nye Incidents</strong> looks like a re-hash of early <a href="http://www.screenrant.com/tag/x-files"><em>X-Files</em></a>; C) It was written by sci-fi/horror novelist Whitley Strieber, the man who co-wrote the book that was adapted into <em>The Day After Tomorrow</em>. Color me skeptical.</p>

<p>Did I also mention that Whitely Strieber claims to have been visited by &#8220;otherworldly beings&#8221; (he won&#8217;t call them aliens) back in 1985 while at his cabin in upstate New York?
