Warner Bros.-based horror label Dark Castle has just picked up the rights to the graphic novel The Nye Incidents, an alien abduction/murder mystery released by indie comic company Devil’s Due Productions, back in July of 2008.

Usually I would say “Score one for comic book films!” except that A) I know nothing about this comic book; B) At first glance The Nye Incidents looks like a re-hash of early X-Files; C) It was written by sci-fi/horror novelist Whitley Strieber, the man who co-wrote the book that was adapted into The Day After Tomorrow. Color me skeptical.

Did I also mention that Whitely Strieber claims to have been visited by “otherworldly beings” (he won’t call them aliens) back in 1985 while at his cabin in upstate New York? And that he put out a book about the “experience” in 1987? ...
