New Trailer for ‘The Men Who Stare at Goats’

A new trailer has appeared online for the upcoming George Clooney, Ewan McGregor comedy, The Men Who Stare at Goats. And I think you’ll be happy to know that the first trailer wasn’t just a happy accident – the new trailer also makes it look nothing less than fantastic.

Along with Clooney and McGregor, The Men Who Stare at Goats co-stars the likes of Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey (that quartet of actors is reason alone to see it). It’s directed by Grant Heslov and is based on the 2004 non-fiction book by Jon Ronson. Just as a reminder, here’s the official synopsis for the film, and then we’ll get to the new trailer:

Fantastic Fest Day Two: Robots, Magic, Goats, & Sumo Dudes

Day One of Fantastic Fest ended with an opening night party at the Drafthouse’s new “The Highball,” where they threw a Gentlemen Broncos “Brutus & Balzaak Bash” after the name of one of Dr. Ronald Chevalier’s science fiction novels. Complete with popcorn sculptures and a fully-outfitted battle stag (it’ll make sense if you see the movie), it went late into the night while people bowled, drank, and ate new menu items like Dr. Pepper ribs. That’s how geeks party.

But more importantly the end of the night meant that Day Two would be starting up soon. To Fantastic Fest attendees, that means more movies and more oddities. For me, it meant a chance to see some bizarre films, and I was not disappointed. I just don’t know if I was mentally prepared for part of the day. I’m hoping that I’m ...

New Clips & TV Spots: Pandorum, Zombieland, Ninja Assassin & More!

A bunch of new clips and TV spots have appeared online recently for five highly-anticipated movies: the sci-fi/horror flick, Pandorum, the zombie action-comedy, Zombieland, the martial arts action flick, Ninja Assassin, the teen horror/comedy, Jennifer’s Body, and the all-star comedy, The Men Who Stare at Goats.

And we have all of them here for your viewing pleasure!

PANDORUM

First up is a new clip for the upcoming sci-fi/horror, Pandorum, starring Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster. Set upon a deep space vessel 500 million miles away from earth, the film follows two crewman who wake from their cryogenic sleep to find the vessel’s population missing and mysterious creatures terrorizing it. The Event Horizon meets Alien meets Sunshine film has looked great so far – check out the latest creepy-as-hell clip from it:

The Men Who Stare At Goats Trailer

Some days Hollywood actually provides something that actually puts a smile on my face. Such is the case today with the release of the trailer for The Men Who Stare At Goats, actor/writer/producer/director Grant Heslov’s big-screen adaptation of author Jon Ronson’s 2004 non-fiction book of the same name.

The film stars George Clooney and Ewan McGregor, with co-stars like Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges helping to inspire the military hijinks. The trailer really is a MUST-WATCH, so after we catch you up on what the film is about with a quick synopsis, we’ll get right to it.

Clooney & Another All-Star Cast Stare At Goats

You have to hand it to George Clooney, not only is the man a high powered chick magnet, but he also surrounds himself with first class talent when he’s making films.

The former Batman and Oscar winner’s latest film The Men Who Stare At Goats has Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges currently in negotiations to star opposite him in the film which will surely under-go a title change.

According to The Hollywood Reporter the film is:

“Based on the book by the Guardian columnist Jon Ronson, ‘Goats’ is set in Iraq and centers on Bob Wilton (McGregor), a desperate reporter who stumbles upon the story of a lifetime when he meets Lyn Cassady (Clooney), who claims to be a former secret U.S. military psychic soldier who was reactivated post-Sept. 11.”
