New International Trailer For ‘The Hole’

Joe Dante’s freaky 1984 feature Gremlins definitely ranks as one of the craziest kids movies of the 1980s – though, some of his more recent films (Small Soldiers & Looney Tunes: Back In Action) were terrifying for an entirely different reason.

Now, the filmmaker that gave us Mogwai is back with an intriguing international trailer for The Hole - a new 3D adventure-thriller that involves teenagers learning important life lessons via encounters with scary creatures and supernatural forces.

Here is the official plot synopsis for The Hole:

“After moving in a new neighborhood, brothers Dane (Chris Massoglia) and Lucas (Nathan Gamble) and their neighbor Julie (Haley Bennett) discover a bottomless hole in the basement of their home. They find that once the hole is exposed, evil is unleashed. With strange shadows lurking around ...

New Trailers: ‘Piranha 3D’, ‘The Hole’, and ‘Buried’

Recently, new trailers have appeared online for the horror remake Piranha 3D, the adventure-thriller The Hole in 3D, and the Ryan Reynolds thriller Buried.

Piranha 3D

This remake of of the 1978 film is exactly what you’d expect: a bunch of people are terrorized by killer piranhas… in 3D. You may be asking,“Why should I go and see this?” Well, apart from a cast of veteran actors like Richard Dreyfuss, Christopher Lloyd, Jerry O’Connell, and Ving Rhames (as well as Hostel director Eli Roth), the film, while ridiculous, should provide plenty of (campy) fun.

This week:

Titans Clash at the box office, Baywatch swims against the cinematic tide; Wolves are the new Vampires; Curtis Hanson is a Maverick; Sofia Vergara is a Smurf and there’s a Hole is the late summer/ early Fall release slate.

Box Office

Clash of the Titans led the box office over the weekend with a massive $62 million gross since its debut on Thursday. The Sam Worthington effects-driven remake saw a solid start, but the road ahead looks rocky considering the bad word of mouth over the film’s 3D effect. They’ll probably still make a sequel though.

Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Too was the bridesmade over the weekend after grossing an impressive $30 million. A Perry film always has a built in audience, and this one was no different. They’re ...

Question: What do the movies Saw VI, Extract, Gamer, A Serious Man, Whiteout, The Hole, and Law Abiding Citizen have in common? They all have new posters that Screen Rant has for your viewing pleasure, that’s what!

First up is Saw VI, yet another installment in the surprisingly highly successful torture-porn horror franchise, Saw. Maybe it’s the fact that they kicked off this kind of horror movie trend, maybe it’s the marketing, who knows, but for some reason people keep going to see these movies. They lost any intellectual stimulation for the audience a few movies ago, and it’s now all really about how to cram as much gorey traps into the runtime as possible. Saw VI looks to be no different.
