You know you’ll be shocked to hear this, but Jerry Bruckheimer has been given another police procedural on ABC. Yeah… imagine that, another cop show!

The show is called Hopscotch and the format of the show seemed confusing to me when I first read it.

The early description of Hopscotch reads like this: Hopscotch tells the stories of homicide investigations over several nonconsecutive days. Each act, or episode, will chronicle a different day.

Dang, just how far can one stretch to try to make yet another police drama sound different?

Bruckheimer is behind The Forgotten, with Christian Slater, which brought in 9.5 million viewers in its premiere.

NBC has picked up an unnamed pilot from Jerry Bruckheimer that is toted as an action procedural series. (Hmm, sounding like a cop show.)

A generic outline to the pilot says it’s a about a team that is charged with the responsibilities of making sure fugitive criminals don’t evade justice.

That sounds like Dog the Bounty Hunter on A&E!

The latest TV project that I know of from Bruckheimer is the wonderfully gritty undercover cop drama, Dark Blue, with Dylan McDermott, and he’s also brought out the soon-to-be-airing pilot of The Forgotten with Christian Slater.

Sadly, for me, Bruckheimer has been the driving force behind other shows that have hooked me, such as CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, CSI, Cold Case, Without a Trace, Eleventh Hour and oddly, The Amazing Race.

Even though the outline of this new mystery show seems familiar, Bruckheimer may just ...

Click to continue reading Bruckheimer Pilot Coming To NBC

Today’s Weekly TV Wrap Up covers information about ABC on Hulu, a new developing tidbit on Smallville, NCIS casting bits, CSI Miami does time travel and some Lie To Me & The Mentalist casting news.

We also have a trailer for season 2 of Sons Of Anarchy, a bit about David Tennant’s next acting role and some information on 2 new shows coming at us, The Forgotten and Gravity.

There’s also a bit of a change up to the Ratings table this week. I apologize ahead of time.

ABC on Hulu

Now that Walt Disney has become an equity partner with Hulu.com, we are going to start to see ABC projects showing up on the online video site.

Grey’s Anatomy was the first and will be followed by Desperate Housewives, Scrubs, Ugly Betty, I Survived a Japanese Game Show and Superstars.
