The Dark Knight: You Might Want To Leave The Kids At Home
Written on May 5, 2008 by Niall Browne
Now that we have seen the second trailer, which is awesome, we can now begin to wildly speculate about what Aarom Eckhart will look like as Two-Face in The Dark Knight.
We've seen as brief glimpse in the latest trailer, but what will Harvey Dent look like once he has been transformed into the two-faced bad guy?
No idea, but Eckhart spoke with LA Times and he gave us some ideas on what to expect.
The result? By the sound of it, don't have your dinner before you go to see The Dark Knight.
The Brand New Dark Knight Trailer Is Here!
Written on May 4, 2008 by Vic Holtreman
All righty then... the new Harvey Dent-centric trailer that we all expected to see on Monday is available to you right here today.
The viral campaign for this is quite interesting. It's more than the "Easter egg hunt" that was Cloverfield - this one has been designed to actually give us some insight into the mind of the Joker. The latest example, where everyone thought the trailer would premiere almost a week ago shows what an obnoxious character he really is, not caring about jerking around the fanbase for the film.
Or am I reading too much into this? :-)
Anyway, check out the latest trailer for The Dark Knight below.
New Dark Knight Trailer? Psyche!
Written on April 28, 2008 by Vic Holtreman
Ya know, viral movie campaigns are fun and all, but please don't start yanking our collective chain by making us think a new trailer will debut - and then have it not.
Based on the page that led to the reveal of the super-cool new poster for The Dark Knight, where at the bottom it said "Four Days," and that was, you guessed it: 4 days ago. Everyone knows there's a new trailer right around the corner so assumed that it would be showing up... but noooooo.
It was just a breadcrumb on the path to the actual trailer release date.
The Dark Knight: 4 New International Posters!
Written on April 28, 2008 by Niall Browne
I love the summer: the weather is better, the movies are bigger and life just seems so much better in general.
Today it got even better with these cool new international posters for The Dark Knight, a little film that has been generating some positive buzz.
This really has to be one of the best summers in recent memory for movies... well we haven't seen them yet - but they look good. Fingers crossed.
I'll stop rambling now, you really just want to see these Batman posters.

Intense New Dark Knight Poster Plus New Trailer News
Written on April 25, 2008 by Vic Holtreman
[UPDATE: Looks like the viral campaign has jerked us around and the trailer did NOT debut today, but may actually end up premiering on Sunday.]
There's a new poster out for The Dark Knight, and I may first thought when my eyes fell upon it were:
Coolest. Poster. Ever.
Sorry Iron Man, but despite my love for you, you may have just dropped a position on my anticipation list. That's ok though, you're still up there in the top two.

Holy BS Internet Rumor, Batman!
Written on April 11, 2008 by Jamie Williams
I thought all concerns regarding the preservation of the late Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker for the upcoming Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight were put to bed.
Director Christopher Nolan has said numerous times that he won't alter a frame of the late actor's performance because it's what he would have wanted.
However, rumors have surfaced suggesting that might not be the case.
Supposedly, Warner Brothers recently conducted test-screenings of The Dark Knight, and a certain sequence was met with negative reactions from the audience.
Spoilers ahead, ladies and gentlemen!
In The Future With Christian Bale
Written on March 18, 2008 by Niall Browne
Christian Bale is one of the few actors at the minute who can do no wrong. The critics adore him, the internet fanboys love him and audiences are willing to show up to watch his films (well his mainstream ones, at least).
Since hitting the big time with Batman Begins, Bale has been much in demand as an actor; Entertainment Weekly conducted a great interview with the actor where he discusses his upcoming films: Michael Mann's Public Enemies, the new Terminator 4 film (whatever it may end up being called), and his third stint as Batman (which I hope will be called Shadow Of The Bat).
Continue on to find out what he has to say about his future slate.
Finally, Some New 'The Dark Knight' News
Written on March 9, 2008 by Vic Holtreman
New image of The Dark Knight riding the Bat-Cycle
The good folks over at Batman-on-Film found a brand new article in the New York Times in which they spoke with various members of the production. Included in their report are two new images from the film, once of which you see above.
The Dark Knight Viral Site Updated
Written on March 7, 2008 by Vic HoltremanOne of our readers (thanks, Patrick!) alerted us to the fact that one of the viral websites set up for this summer's blockbuster The Dark Knight has been completely updated and redesigned.
Much like the Joker-related viral sites, this one is also asking for people to submit pictures and video. No doubt submissions will not be as creepy and will not put submitters on neighborhood watch lists. :-)
Weekend Movie News Wrap Up: Mar 2, 2008
Written on March 2, 2008 by Niall BrowneHey there guys and gals, welcome to my first Weekend Movie News Wrap Up.

10,000 B.C.: They REALLY Want You To Go See It
Written on February 19, 2008 by Vic Holtreman
[UPDATE: It's been announced that the new Iron Man trailer will be attached to 10,000 B.C. as well.]
I'm already prepared for the haters, the "hey man, can't you just enjoy a #$#$%ing movie" commenters, and the "movie reviewers don't know $#$#" crowd on this one. I think that 10,000 B.C. will be lame at best and laughable at worst.
Director Roland Emmerich has been wildly hit or miss with the movies he's made. On the good side, he brought us the original Stargate movie, the fun popcorn flick Independence Day and the Mel Gibson movie The Patriot. On the other hand he's also brought us Universal Soldier, Godzilla and The Day After Tomorrow.
Now call me crazy, but I think the latest news on this one supports my opinion of it. It's being reported by various sources that not one but two trailers to movies that are very buzzworthy will be attached to 10,000 B.C. when it opens. The kind of trailers that are almost enough to drag people to see a movie just for the trailer itself.
Which trailers am I talking about?
The Dark Knight Trailer In Lego Form
Written on February 5, 2008 by Heath McKnightI though I'd post this up because it's pretty clever. The Dark Knight trailer in Lego form:
I'm wondering if Custard Productions uses Boinx's iStopmotion to make these very cool videos? I think it's great that someone used their creativity and skills to create something that makes us smile, especially in light of the sad passing of Heath Ledger.
What do you all think of this rendition of the trailer?

Screen Rant Movie News Grab Bag
Written on January 14, 2008 by Heath McKnight
Lots of movie news bites for you all! Let's start out with what's happening with Justice League, which seems to be a dream film for fans, but with Warner Brothers' decision to not use Christian Bale or Brandon Routh as Batman and Superman, respectively, fans aren't happy. The script isn't up to snuff, so according to Superhero Hype!, and a final decision on whether they'll strike ahead vs. waiting for the Writers Strike to end will be made for a major re-write. We may know as early as tomorrow, January 15th.
In related news, it looks like Bryan Singer and Routh are still onboard to bring us the action packed sequel to Superman Returns, Superman: Man of Steel. (Why not just Man of Steel, like The Dark Knight?) The release date was pushed back to 2010, and there isn't an iron-clad guarantee Singer will be back. It looks like producers learned some lessons, and the movie will feature more action, a super-powered villain and less romantic stuff. Hey Spider-Man producers, are you reading this?? Original screenwriters Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty won't be returning, plus the Writers Strike is delaying the start of scriptwriting on the sequel. Source: Superhero Hype!

The New Dark Knight Trailer Is Here!
Written on December 16, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
On Friday I had the chance to watch the six minute Dark Knight preview but not the new trailer for the movie. Although the preview was fantastic, I'd also heard that the second (and first full length) trailer for The Dark Knight is great as well.
I didn't post the bootlegged and cruddy looking trailer that's been circulating for a couple of days because not only was it lousy looking, but I don't support people sneaking into movie theaters with camcorders. I've been hearing that the official trailer will premiere at one of the Dark Knight viral sites called "A Taste For The Theatrical."
Well that's all irrelevant because the official trailer is finally online at the site and you can watch it below right now!
The Dark Knight IMAX Preview: Freaking Awesome
Written on December 14, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
[UPDATE: It's finally online! Check out the brand new Dark Knight trailer here!]
I just saw the six minute opening from The Dark Knight. In IMAX.
Oh. My. God.
Between the giant screen, the crystal clarity and the content of the short film I was in nirvana and wishing like hell that the movie would continue on.
I think The Dark Knight is going to freaking ROCK.
How About Two Joker Posters? Plus, Trailer Update!
Written on December 14, 2007 by Heath McKnight
One of the The Dark Knight/Joker posters is almost a book-end to the fantastic Batman poster Vic revealed earlier, the other is probably the best poster I've seen in a long time. Both feature the Joker, and I just watched the bootleg of the trailer (since yanked), and it looked incredible!
Though Iron Man is my favorite character (I'm very pumped up for the movie), Batman is tied with Captain America for my second favorite. Considering Batman Begins has become one of my all-time favorite characters, I'm excited for the sequel. So far, things are looking great.
So, what about an official, non-YouTube-recorded-off-a-cell-phone version of the new trailer, which can be seen in theatres attached to I Am Legend? (With the six minute prologue attached to the IMAX version of I Am Legend.) Ain't It Cool News is reporting it may be found on yet another viral site, found at atasteforthetheatrical.com. (Note: There's several quotes in Batman Begins about theatricality.) We'll know perhaps by Sunday night!
Like Paramount's strategy for the second Cloverfield second trailer attached to Beowulf, I think Warner Bros. is waiting for the first weekend box office for I Am Legend to pass before premiering the trailer online, thus forcing us fans to see the Will Smith-starrer to catch the trailer, thus putting more cash in the studios' bank accounts. Clever, huh? (They did something similar with The Phantom Menace's first trailer when Fox attached it to the horrible Wing Commander movie.)
Larger versions after the jump.
New Dark Knight Poster And Trailer Update
Written on December 13, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
[UPDATE: It's finally online! Check out the brand new Dark Knight trailer here!]
Why does it seem that all the really cool posters for movies are released in the overseas market? There's a new international poster out for The Dark Knight and it kicks the crap out of the recently released US version.
Sure, the US version was witty with the use of blood and the Batman logo to create a smiley Joker face... but it would have been a heck of a lot more effective if they hadn't already shown us what the Joker will look like in the movie.
Enough ranting, already. Check out the major coolness below.
Movie News Grab Bag - 12/11/07
Written on December 11, 2007 by Vic HoltremanHere's a summary of what's going on today in the wonderful world of entertainment...
- Harlan Ellison debunks the rumor that Star Trek 11 incorporates the Guardian of Forever. We reported this AS rumor a month ago, so we don't fall under the category of blogs that Ellison so colorfully refers. - TrekMovie.com (warning, lots of colorful language... it IS Harlan Ellison after all)
- AICN floats a supposed alternative title to the upcoming Justice League movie which I believe is utter and complete hogwash and there's no way it's true. - AICN
- The uber-classic sci fi film Metropolis is headed for a remake. This could be incredibly stupid and the odds are that it's a bad idea. However there is a very, very slight chance that if done correctly it could turn into a modern day classic. - FirstShowing.net
New Detailed Look At The Dark Knight Costume
Written on December 8, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
Why do the French get all the cool movie stuff? First we had a new Iron Man poster, and now we have a really detailed look at the batsuit from The Dark Knight on the cover of one of their magazines.
The new bat suit is actually quite "busy"... lots of detail and little pieces, but I think that allows for protection while allowing a lot more movement. I don't know if Batman appears in the six minute IMAX preview that will be attached to I Am Legend, but I'm hoping he looks really good onscreen in the new outfit.
The full image is below.
The Dark Knight: IMAX Preview, Trailer Update & New Poster
Written on December 4, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
[UPDATE: It's finally online! Check out the brand new Dark Knight trailer here!]
Let's just roll a few news items into one regarding The Dark Knight, shall we?
First, we have a description of the six minute preview highlighting the Joker that will be shown with the IMAX version of I Am Legend. Over at UGO.com they have a very detailed breakdown of the entire six minute clip. If you want to know any more and be completely spoiled, head on over. You won't see any details here because despite the fact that I run a movie site, dammit I still want to be surprised sometimes.
What I have heard that isn't spoilerish is that on its own it makes a fantastic short film, one of the best short films of 2007.
New Batman And Joker Images From The Dark Knight
Written on December 3, 2007 by Vic Holtreman[UPDATE: Images removed by request of Warner Bros. legal department. Sorry, guys.]
You may have already seen these, but here's another look at the Joker from The Dark Knight and probably the most detailed look yet at the new batsuit.
And... ANOTHER New Joker Picture
Written on November 30, 2007 by Vic HoltremanOn the heels of the big Joker reveal from The Dark Knight over at Empire Magazine comes another creepy-cool image of Heath Ledger in full character. This one comes from the cover of Wizard Magazine.
Check it out after the jump.
New Joker Photo!
Written on November 27, 2007 by Heath McKnight
[UPDATE: It's done. Check out the super hi-res version below!]
Empire, the very cool UK-based magazine that covers all the movies, DVDs, TV shows and games we love, is featuring the Joker from The Dark Knight, on the cover of their magazine.
They've been doing a slow reveal of the image, minus the magazine cover type, which can be found here. But, the mag cover leaked early. The film opens July 18, 2008, with Heath Ledger as the Joker. Hope he doesn't eclipse Christian Bale's Batman, which was always the problem with the other Batman films. The villains were bigger than the hero.
Check out the very cool high-res version after the jump.
Movie News Grab Bag - 11/26/07
Written on November 26, 2007 by Vic HoltremanI'm back from being out of town last week. Although I managed to post up a couple of reviews, a lot of news didn't get covered. Here's a summary of last week's highlights:
- Ben Cross (Chariots of Fire) will play Sarek, Spock's father, in the new and currently in production Star Trek movie. (StarTrek.com) Hey! They added another old guy to the cast!
- David Twohy, director of both Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick apparently wants Vin Diesel back to play Riddick again. (ComingSoon.net) I thought the first one was pretty dumb the first time I saw it, but upon repeated viewings it grew on me. I also thought that Chronicles was cool in a "guilty pleasure" sort of way.
The Dark Knight To Be A 'Hard' PG-13 Thanks To The Joker?
Written on November 5, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
While Batman Begins was not exactly targeted at the pre-school crowd, especially with it's nightmarish depiction of Scarecrow... it's looking more and more like it's sequel The Dark Knight is going to be far creepier. I think it's going to bump the ceiling of its predicted PG-13 rating and it's all going to be due to The Joker.
Back in May we had our first peek at Heath Ledger as The Joker (in upper left hand image) and it was surprisingly grotesque. Much more so than I had anticipated. The next peek we had at the character was in the image on the right, where he's holding a knife to the throat of Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Keeping An Eye On The WhySoSerious.com Website - Revealed!

[UPDATE 2: It's now down to 1 missing letter and there is a photograph underneath that may be revealed...?]
[UPDATE: Message solved: See below!]
I visit my own site a lot more often than I do WhySoSerious.com, one of the viral sites for The Dark Knight, so I figured I would just keep an eye on what's going on with that Halloween pumpkin with the candle that's burning down right here. :-)
Here's what the message looks like as of 3:20PM EST:

Two New I Am Legend Trailers: One Great, One Lame
Written on October 24, 2007 by Vic HoltremanIt's raining I Am Legend trailers today. There's a new U.S. version and a new international trailer for the movie. While I liked the first U.S. trailer, this new on is IMHO pretty damned boring. On the other hand, the international trailer really makes me want to see the movie.
The film opens mid-December, stars Will Smith and seems to be a twist on the old Sci Fi movie The Omega Man which starred Charlton Heston. Smith plays the last man left on Earth after some sort of catastrophe wipes out everyone else. Of course he's not really alone... eventually some rather creepy characters start showing up, no doubt mutated by whatever happened, and they look suspiciously like vampires to me.
The Dark Knight: Joker (Non-)Backstory And IMAX Details
Written on October 24, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
Thanks to the folks over at the ever-on-top-of-Batman-movie-news site Batman-on-Film.com here are a couple of answers to questions people have about the upcoming Batman Begins sequel: The Dark Knight.
It's been asked whether the Joker-centric footage that will be shown ahead of the IMAX version of I Am Legend will be something specifically produced for that or if it will be an excerpt from the actual movie. The answer is that the footage (which comes out in December) is the first 5 minutes from The Dark Knight. I'd heard 7 minutes, but whatever - at least now we know what it is.
Of more importance, Chris Nolan gives a hint as to the plot of the movie as related to The Joker, and I think it is VERY good news!
The Dark Knight: Creepy Halloween Website Surprise?
Written on October 19, 2007 by Vic HoltremanThe smart folks over at Superherohype.com discovered something interesting about WhySoSerious.com, a viral website related to the Batman Begins sequel: The Dark Knight. The image matches that of a classic Batman story from the comic book called The Long Halloween.
A Halloween pumpkin with a candle burning inside appeared on the site a few days ago, with a smile carved in the shape of the Batman logo. People immediately went about looking for some hidden clue or "Easter Egg" on the site but found nothing. Someone posted that they left the site open for nine hours, perhaps hoping for some hidden thing to appear as it did on one of the Cloverfield sites.
New Dark Knight Image Plus IMAX Preview?
Written on October 16, 2007 by Vic Holtreman[UPDATE: Oops, sorry folks, it's been pointed out to me that this pic is NOT new. My apologies... I try to stay on top of these things but I hadn't seen this image before and assumed it was new. Do read the rest of the story, though!]
There's a rumor (this hasn't been confirmed by Warner Bros.) that there will be a seven minute preview of The Dark Knight playing in front of Will Smith's upcoming sci-fi film I Am Legend, but only in IMAX theaters. No doubt they're doing this because parts of The Dark Knight are being shot in the super-hi-res format.
For certain movies I always try to catch the IMAX version if it's available. I think that IMAX to regular movie theaters is like regular movie theaters to big screen TVs. :-)
Top 20 Movies Anticipated By Rabid Movie Fans
Written on October 11, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
There's a new list out (don't we all just love lists?) of the 20 most anticipated movies coming out in the next 12 months.
Movietickets.com polled 2,000 active moviegoers to determine what movies they were most looking forward to. What's an "active moviegoer" you ask? It's someone who's seen a lot of movies this summer. Over 50% of those polled have seen at least six films this summer, with almost 20% having seen 11 or more! So I would imagine that means that many of those polled were teenagers or in their early 20's.
Before I get to the big list, here's the breakdown by gender:
Top Five Films Guys Are Looking Forward To:
1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
2. The Dark Knight
3. Iron Man
4. National Treasure: Book of Secrets
5. American Gangster
Top Five Films The Ladies Are Looking Forward To:
1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
2. National Treasure: Book of Secrets
3. The Dark Knight
4. American Gangster
5. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Come on girls, aren't you interested in Iron Man, a suave playboy/James Bond-type that wears armor and flies? :-)
Nolan To Take On Catwoman?
Written on September 5, 2007 by Kane Adrian
While we barely know much yet about next year's The Dark Knight, the rumor mill appears to have started for the third - and presumably final - film in Christopher Nolan's Batman series. That's right, in spite of the miserable Catwoman starring Halle Berry, Nolan is reportedly toying with the idea of featuring the sexy cat-burglar in the final instalment.
Can anyone gimme a yee-ha?
Bale Not In League With New JLA Movie
Written on August 22, 2007 by Shane Hallaran
According to reports at IESB.net, Christian Bale is not too keen on the idea of Batman being recast in the proposed JLA movie at Warners. Bale indicates that he was never approached and that he wouldn’t welcome someone else wearing the cowl. In the interview over at IESB, Bale's comments seem to indicate this.
Q: Are you doing Justice League after TDK?
Bale: No
IESB: Have you been approached for Justice League?
Bale: No
IESB: How would you feel about the studio recasting Batman for Justice League?
Bale: It’d be better if it doesn’t tread on the toes of what we’re doing, though I feel that it would be better if it comes out after Batman 3.
Batman Begins Batsuit Appears In The Dark Knight
Written on August 16, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
I'm a comic book and Star Trek geek at heart, so I often get caught up in the details when it comes to movies. I know there's been a lot of debate regarding the new Batsuit designed for the upcoming sequel The Dark Knight. Some people like the functional/samurai look of it (including me) while others think the suit from Batman Begins is at least somewhat closer to the concept of the comic books.
The Dark Knight Update
Written on August 13, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
I haven't posted any news on the Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight in a while so here's a summary of what's been going on...
The big news is that a Wizard World-only teaser trailer was shown at that Con. Much like the reaction to the Iron Man trailer in San Diego, people seem to be going nuts over it (in a good way). And no, there's no bootleg footage of the trailer online - at least not yet.
Here are some bullet points from the trailer (as described by Batman-on-Film):
The Dark Knight's Viral Marketing Continues
Written on July 29, 2007 by Kane Adrian
Despite a complete lack of attention given to The Dark Knight at Warner's Comic-Con panel over the weekend, the film remained one of the more talked about projects thanks to some clever marketing, including the circulation of fake dollar bills and a phone number in sky writing. Gaining the most attention, however, was the website WhySoSerious.com that provided fans with a precise location around the convention grounds to meet at 10am Friday.
For a full report of the day's events - written as a Gotham City Police report - visit this link. The main site also features the simple first teaser for The Dark Knight in high definition Quicktime format - it's little more than an animated logo and some dialogue, though you do get to hear Heath Ledger in his much anticipated role as The Joker.
A new image - as seen above - has also been released, offering a better glimpse at Ledger in costume and in all his homicidal glory.

New Iron Man And The Dark Knight Promo Images
Written on June 20, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
There's a licensing show going on in New York City right now and upcoming movies are well represented there. There are items related to Iron Man, Transformers, The Incredible Hulk, The Dark Knight and more. Someone snapped a pic of a huge promotional banner for the Iron Man movie - if you click on the small image you can see a much larger view. It's different from any other images we've seen and it's got Shellhead in a cool pose.
Batsuit Comparison: The Dark Knight vs Batman Begins
Written on June 19, 2007 by Vic HoltremanThere's been a fair amount of discussion online regarding the newly redesigned batsuit from the Batman Begins sequel: The Dark Knight, so I thought I would put images of the two suits up side by side for comparison.

Screen Rant Weekly Podcast - June 2, 2007
Written on June 2, 2007 by Vic HoltremanThe Screen Rant Empire continues to expand with yet another exciting podcast!
This week's action-packed podcast includes news about The Dark Knight and IMAX, Eli (Hostel I & II) Roth's more sensitive and artistic side, what you may NOT know about the Mach 5 from the upcoming Speed Racer movie, Iron Man related coolness, why movie trilogies are not always trilogies and how that relates to their failure or success.
Also, news on the unveiling of the ultimate Iron Man website for fans.
The Dark Knight In IMAX
Written on May 29, 2007 by Vic HoltremanAt least a few scenes in the Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight will be shot in IMAX format. Specifically, four action sequences, including the introduction of the Joker will be shot in the super-hi-res IMAX format. There's a lot of talk regarding 3-D being the "next big thing" but I think that IMAX is right up there as far as a big screen movie experience.
Maybe A First Look At Joker From The Dark Knight?
Written on May 19, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
Update: So it's definitely a look at Heath Ledger as the joker. Click on the image to get a big, creepy look at him. This movie will not be for the little kiddies, the photo is pretty gross so the image here is small and I've blurred it a bit.
There's a site related to The Dark Knight that contains a promotional image for the character District Attorney Harvey Dent. It's basically an election poster:
http://www.IBelieveInHarveyDent.com/
It's nice to see an image from the movie, but it's pretty boring, really. Now if you want to see something very similar that could turn out to be much more interesting, head on over to this very similarly name website:
Screen Rant Weekly Podcast - May 19, 2007
Written on May 19, 2007 by Vic HoltremanThis week's podcast has a little bit of news on The Dark Knight, Iron Man, the upcoming Terminator movies and Stallone's John Rambo. Also some TV coverage regarding the ill-advised Jericho cancellation and the overly jam-packed Smallville Season 6 finale.
I apologize for a couple of skips and the abrupt ending, it seems my connection was a bit "iffy" today. :-\
The Dark Knight Plot Summary

The Dark Knight Site At Warp Speed
Written on May 13, 2007 by Vic HoltremanThere's what the logo looks like for the Batman Begins sequel: The Dark Knight. Click on the image to visit the teaser site, although there's nothing there but the image. Kind of reminds me of the information-free Iron Man movie teaser site.
Looks like that bat logo moving at warp speed and breaking up. Let the speculation begin. :-)
The Dark Knight Story Direction
Written on April 24, 2007 by Vic HoltremanDavid Goyer has spilled a bit on the direction The Dark Knight will be taking in a recent interview with MTV:
"The last scene of Batman Begins tells you where things are going to go in the next movie. That was very intentional. We paved the way. For people interested in where the next movie is going to go, watch that scene again."
Is The Joker Related To The Crow?
Written on April 23, 2007 by Vic HoltremanUpdate: LOL, AICN has been "pwned" again. This is a fake, too. See the link in the comments below. The worst part is that the SAME guy sent in both recent images. :-)

Boy, AICN just keeps stepping in it lately. The released a photoshopped pic of Heath Ledger from a supposedly reliable source that was supposed to be The Joker from the upcoming Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight.
The Dark Knight: Joker-Related Photos

What Will Joker Look Like In The Dark Knight?
Written on April 18, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
The guy who runs Batman on Film has posted his views concerning whatever "updated" look Chris Nolan will give the Joker in the Batman Begins sequel: The Dark Knight. (Click on the first link for the whole thing.)
He thinks bringing a fresh look to the character is a GOOD thing and I have to say that I agree.
Aaron Eckhart Is Two-Face In The Dark Knight
Written on February 15, 2007 by Vic Holtreman
Aaron Eckhart has been cast as Harvey Dent/Two Face in the next Batman movie: The Dark Knight. I haven't been following casting for the next Batman movie that closely, but from what I understand Eckhart was a fan favorite for the role. He joins Heath Ledger playing The Joker, and I asssume Aaron's role will be smaller than Heath's.
Also on the "strong rumor" list is that Maggie Gyllenhaal will be replacing Katie Holmes in the upcoming Bat-flick.
I guess you have to have a love interest, even in a superhero movie, but I would have perferred it if they had introduced Harvey Dent in Batman Begins as a friend of Bruce Wayne and/or Commisioner Gordon. That way it would have been that much more powerful when he changes from good-guy Dent to bad-guy Two-Face. We would have gotten to know him better and it would be that much more painful and tragic when things turn for the worse.
But... who am I to complain? I thought Batman Begins was excellent and I have high hopes for the sequel since the same team is behind it.
I found out about this from Joblo.com, although it's also being reported elsewhere.
Let The Dark Knight (Batman Begins 2) Buzz Begin

Is it too early to start talking about the Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight? I don't think so. :-)
Over at the excellent Batman on Film site there is already a fair amount of info about the upcoming Bat-flick, including the latest bit that an FX geek like me finds interesting in regards to the Bat-suit.
As in the prior Batman movies, the suit will continue to evolve, but I'm sure that in the current series there will be more of a logical reason for it to do so (beyond the latest costume designer wanting to but their "mark" on it).
