‘Supernatural’ Season 7: Bobby & Castiel’s Return Revealed

It’s been a tough season for Supernatural fans. On top of losing one fan-favorite character in the season premiere (Castiel, played by Misha Collins), viewers also had to watch as the series’ proverbial patriarch, Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver), was given a choice of either dying peacefully or sticking around to become a ghost.

Thankfully, whatever Bobby’s decision turned out to be (we still have to find out), executive producer Robert Singer revealed that “he’ll be back in one form or another.” What does that mean? Well, when it comes to Supernatural, anything is possible (and probable).

Of course, if Singer’s ambiguity isn’t enough to have you excited about Bobby’s return “in one form or another,” showrunner Sera Gamble details what would happen, based on the decision Bobby made:

‘Supernatural’ Season 7 Midseason Finale Review & Discussion

Now that the Thanksgiving celebrations have come to an end, it’s time for the return of Supernatural. Unfortunately, this return is short-lived, as we have come to the newly crowned midseason finale. Breathe it in, folks, because this is the last episode of Supernatural for 2011.

Throughout Supernatural’s seven year run, numerous characters have jumped in and out of the series, as Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) make their way through the current apocalyptic predicament that stands before them. While the majority of these characters rarely last long enough to become memorable, there have been a few that have held strong in the hearts and minds of Supernatural fans. Now that the love potion has worn off, it’s time for Supernatural to head to the Garden State. With Bobby (Jim Beaver) in tow, the Winchester Brothers head to New Jersey to seek out a creature that has been attacking people in the woods.

Written by the always wonderful Ben Edlund, tonight’s episode of Supernatural, entitled “How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters,” centers around the townsfolk pointing to the mythological Jersey Devil for the cause of all the deaths in the area.

In an attempt to find out exactly who (or what) is behind these attacks, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Bobby are forced to set up camp in a state park and become real-life hunters (Bambi-killer, not demon-killer).

‘Supernatural’ Is Coming to Netflix as The CW Signs 4-Year Deal

The time has come to catch up on the epic adventures of Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) on Supernatural, as The CW has signed a 4-year deal to make past and future episodes of many of their hit television series available for instant streaming.

In total, Netflix will be adding over 700 hours of television programming from The CW to their continuously growing catalog. Beginning October 18, previous seasons of The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and Nikita will be available to watch instantly. Unfortunately, for fans of Supernatural (and 90210), you will have to wait until January 2012 to catch up on past episodes.

Additionally, plans are set in place to bring episodes from all scripted series airing on The CW this year to Netflix by the end ...

Proving to be a running theme with the series, Friday’s episode of Supernatural, entitled “Hello, Cruel World,” picks up where the season 7 premiere left off. With the leviathan-riddled Castiel (Misha Collins) skin spouting off a few threats, they quickly made their way to the municipal water supply – and in an underwater explosion of blackness, the vessel of Castiel ceases to exist.

Using the town’s water supply as their own personal highway, the leviathan are taking over the bodies of those who come in contact with the tainted water: A creepy little girl becomes creepier, two high school swimmers take on The Shining twins (with their matching outfits), and a leader of sorts (though not the “boss”) emerges ...

Season 6 of Supernatural certainly had its share of low points – the “Mother of All” was more like the most disappointing villain of all – but it also had its share of extremely high points (not the least of which was the ending – as a certain character became an evil god).

Unreleased ‘Supernatural’ Ghostfacers Webisode With Castiel Revealed [Updated]

While Supernatural fans wait patiently for the Season 7 premiere next month, a previously unreleased episode of the tongue-in-cheek web series Ghostfacers has mysteriously appeared online.

For the uninitiated, Ghostfacers is the fictional show-within-a-show starring paranormal investigators Harry Spangler (Travis Wester) and Ed Zeddmore (A. J. Buckley). The pair was introduced in a 2008 episode, lampooning the real-world trend of Ghost Hunters and similar series. The popularity of the farcical characters led to the development of ten Ghostfacers webisodes, each about three minutes long.

Until now, the webisode below had been kept under wraps, probably due to its more canonical ties with the full Supernatural series. In the short video, Castiel (Misha Collins) appears to warn Harry and Ed about the forthcoming Apocalypse – this ...

All of the monsters, weirdos and creeps of Comic-Con better watch their backs, because the Winchester brothers have arrived in San Diego for the final day of San Diego Comic-Con, in the first ever Sunday where the infamous 6500-capacity Hall H remains open for television panels.

Fresh off of filming the season premiere of Supernatural season 7, Sam and Dean will be taking to break to bring fans some treats about the upcoming season. For those attending, you’ll be treated to some gag reels from Supernatural season 6, a taste of the anime series and perhaps some additional videos.

‘The Walking Dead’ Season 2 Casts Hershel & Family

The first crop of new zombie fodder cast members for Season 2 of The Walking Dead includes Supernatural‘s Lauren Cohan and veteran actor Scott Wilson. They’ll be playing farmer Hershel Greene and his daughter Maggie, two pivotal characters from the comic series.

The pair is joined by Pruitt Taylor Vince, who will play the farm’s foreman, Otis. The trio are the only new actors known so far, but with filming going on as we’re writing this, expect more and more announcements and leaks over the next few weeks.

Meta Times Ahead for ‘Supernatural’ Season 7 and Beyond

By now, Supernatural should be as synonymous with the term ‘meta’ as its title is with the word ‘paranormal’. After giving fans ride-after-ride on the meta side of things – especially with last season’s meta-tastic episode ‘The French Mistake’ – showrunner Sera Gamble says there’s plenty more meta in store for season 7.

Last season, it seemed as though the Supernatural crew had taken meta as far as it could have possibly gone – having Sam and Dean play Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, playing Sam and Dean Winchester on the set of the Supernatural television show. ‘Modern Family’ & ‘Hawaii Five-0′ Top DVR Ratings; ‘Supernatural’ & ‘Fringe’ Gain

Television’s busiest number-crunchers at TV by the Numbers have released their list of the most-recorded shows in America, with ABC’s Modern Family leading the pack. Shows like House, The Event and Supernatural got a significant bump in addition to first-run ratings.

Recorded episodes are making up a bigger and bigger chunk of the television audience, and the trend has been consistent for the 2010-1011 season.

For example, Modern Family scored an average of 11.2 million viewers for every live episode, plus 3.5 million DVR viewers – a whopping 31% increase.

‘Supernatural’ Shake-up: Misha Collins Out, Jim Beaver In As Series Regular?

Even though he’s been with the brothers Winchester since the first season of Supernatural, Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer) has been credited only as a guest star on the show. Now that Misha Collins (Castiel) is stepping away from his duties as a series regular, fans are left wondering if Beaver is looking to join Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as a series regular.

Last month, it was reported that following the end of season 6, fan-favorite actor Misha Collins would be leaving Supernatural altogether.
