Sorry to Bother You (2018)

Summary
In an alternate present-day version of Oakland, telemarketer Cassius Green discovers a magical key to professional success, propelling him into a universe of greed. Writer/director Boots Riley was inspired by his stint as a telemarketer and penned the screenplay. He originally had no intention of actually making it into a film, but the movie was officially announced in June 2017. Riley signed on to helm the project, with the principal cast signing on shortly after. Sorry to Bother You hit the Sundance Film Festival and South by Southwest prior to debuting in theaters.
