Rope (1948)
Two intellectual students commit the perfect murder to prove their supposed superiority by strangling a former classmate. They host a dinner party with the corpse hidden in a chest they use as a buffet table, inviting the victim's family and their professor, who becomes increasingly suspicious of them.
