For everyone not looking to celebrate the 400th episode of American Idol, the first part of the night may be empty for television viewing. Fortunately, things kick into gear as the night goes on.

Celebrating the life of Bruce Lee, Spike TV presents the extremely compelling I Am Bruce Lee documentary from Facing Ali director Pete McCormack. To bring a little laughter in your life, Psych is coming on strong, with William Shatner returning as Julia’s father. And for all the sci-fi (and Syfy) fans, Face Off’s penultimate episode forces the remaining contestants take on a prehistoric look.

Comic-Con 2011: ‘Psych’ Panel

USA’s buddy detective show Psych will begin its sixth season in the fall, but you don’t need to wait that long for a preview of the further adventures of Shawn and Gus. There’s a panel for Psych at San Diego Comic-Con, and Screen Rant is on hand to cover it – Live!

Featured in the panel are all of the main cast, including James Roday [JR], Dulé Hill [DH], Corbin Bernsen [CB], Maggie Lawson [ML], Timothy Omundson [TO] and Kirsten Nelson [KN]. Producers Steve Franks [SF], Chris Henke [CH] and Kelly Kulchak [KK] will also be on hand, and they’re all at the mercy of special moderator Kurt “Woody The Coroner” Fuller [KF].

Check your calendar, because Comic-Con 2011 will soon be upon us. With over 70 different TV panels confirmed for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, finding out when and where you’re favorite television series will be appearing is definitely easier said than done.

Comic-Con 2011: First TV Panels & Non-Returning Shows Announced

Next month, the city of San Diego will be populated by the fanatical and fantastical for Comic-Con 2011. With a complete list expected in the coming week(s), today the first set of TV panels were announced.

Coinciding with the announcements of what TV shows we will see at the ‘Con, it was also revealed that 5 previously attending series will not be returning this year.

Comic-Con staples Chuck, The Big Bang Theory, The Vampire Diaries and The Walking Dead are all slated to return. Along with these familiar series, ABC will also be bringing fan-favorite Castle back to Comic-Con for its second year. William Shatner To Guest Star In ‘Psych’ Season 6

USA’s Psych has always played the geek angle pretty hard, but Shawn and Gus have outdone themselves this time. Everyone’s favorite octogenarian William Shatner will be playing love interest Juliet’s father in an upcoming Season 6 episode.

The news comes months ahead of Psych‘s unspecified fall return. While it’s not known which of the sixteen new episodes will feature Shatner, he may appear in multiple episodes, given the character’s familial ties to Detective Juliet ‘Jules’ O’Hara (Maggie Lawson). Juliet and Shawn began dating in Season 5, so expect things to get even more close (and dangerous) now that Daddy’s in the picture.

With the triumphant return of USA’s hit series Psych, fans of the series finally saw Shawn and Juliet’s romance blossom. Of course, while Shawn may be reveling in his new relationship, he still has to contemplate whether or not to reveal his secret to Juliet and what repercussions may result.

Ah, but there’s more to look forward to in this final half of the season than just a lingering revelation. As always, Shawn and Gus will be bringing the hilarity - and with the upcoming Twin Peaks episode reuniting many of the show’s former cast, we’ll get to see what happens when Psych presents their take on this iconic series.

Comic Con 2010: Psych Panel Coverage

For the past couple of years the USA dramedy Psych has been rocking Comic-Con 2010 and this year was no exception. The panel wasn’t short of stars, as Corbin Bernsen, Kirsten Nelson, Maggie Lawson, Timothy Omundson, Dule Hill and James Roday were all in attendance, as well as creator Steve Franks and producer Kelly Kulchak .

Most of the large public panel was a mix of lame user-generated questions focused mostly on who had the best hair, Roday and Lawson’s love life and whether Nelson had a thing for Sage Brocklebank (Buzz McNabb).

It wasn’t a total bust though, because the audience of 4000+ was treated to a special Comic-Con video of Roday and Hill being themselves behind the scenes, and then a special live performance of ”Shout” by Tears for Fears frontman Roland Orzabal.

With over 120 panels being announced, scheduling your day might be a bit hectic – even for the most dedicated geek. Luckily, we helped you out by weeding through schedule, taking out all the nonsense and creating a list of all the must-see television panels.
