Short Version: Pandorum is a mess of a movie that squanders a lot of potential.

Movies often fail for varying reasons; sometimes the fatal flaw is in the script, sometimes the performances of the actors and sometimes because of the filmmaker’s total ineptness. Pandorum suffers from the latter case: director Christian Alvart has stitched together a patchwork of scenes that never really cohere into an actual movie. It’s a real tragedy, considering the potential this film had.

Pandorum opens as Corporal Bower (Ben Foster) wakes from cryogenic sleep aboard the starship Elysium (clever pun), whose mission is to ferry the last remnants of humanity to a new home planet. Bower wakes with all of his technical memory intact – how to operate the ship’s equipment, his military protocol – but his personal memories (events leading up to waking, such as where he is and how he got there) are all foggy. The room he wakes up in is sealed shut, and the ship’s power supply is in disarray due to a reactor malfunction. Soon after Bower gets on his feet, another cryo-pod pops open and Lieutenant Payton (Dennis Quaid) joins party.

As the slimmer man, Bower heads up into the ventilation ducts bound for the ship’s reactor, which he seems to recall being assigned to operate and fix. With Payton guiding him via comm link, Bower enters the bowels of the ship and steps right into a living nightmare.

Monsters have taken over the ship (as if you didn’t already know). They are a species of pale white, inhumanly fast and strong warrior-killers, who spend their days hunting down the remaining humans and feasting on their bodies. After narrowly escaping the creatures, Bower meets a pretty ecologist-turned-survival expert named Nadia (Antje Traue) and a hunter-warrior named Manh (martial arts star Cung Le). After a violent introduction, the three humans band together to venture into the heart of the ship and reset the reactor before the vessel loses all power and the last of humanity dies in space.

While the field team is at work, Payton is running point from the cryo-chamber room and is eventually joined by Corporal Gallo (Cam Gigandet), who claims to be one of three crew members awake for the Elysium’s initial lift-off from Earth. According to Gallo, his crewmates became afflicted with the space madness known as “pandorum,” forcing Gallo to kill them all. The corporal tells Payton that Bower might also be suffering from pandorum, since he ventured out on a veritable suicide mission; for the good of the ship, Payton should seize control of the situation.

What unfolds from there is as predictable as your first guess and is even less exciting than you imagine. Like I said, this film is a patchwork of scenes that never feel connected, set in the framework of a film that never can decide which story to tell. Is the focus Bower and Payton’s mysterious pasts? Is it a survival story? Is it a psychological thriller about space madness (what the hell is “pandorum,” exactly)? And where did those creatures come from and what are they after? That last question does get some explanation (I think), but again, even the story behind the story is such a mess that I’m not quite clear what the explanation was. The shots and action sequences are often so incoherent that you’ll lose track of where YOU are or what is going on, just the characters themselves. It’s not a favorable position to put a movie audience in.

I will take a minute to absolve the stars of Pandorum of blame, since I don’t believe the fatal fault lies with them. Everybody on screen looks lost and/or confused most of the time (see pic above), and rightly so: most of the scenes look like they were shot with the director sitting up on a high chair yelling “Do This! Ok… Now do that!” in random increments over a megaphone while the actors just tried to keep up. There is no character development (we’re supposed to believe that these characters’ choices are their choices just because the film says they are), and worst of all, I didn’t like, dislike or connect in any way to even one character in this film, and when you can remain that indifferent for an hour and a half…

Instead of depth and meaning we get a mindless progression – Event A, followed by Event B, followed by Event C. Whatever happens, happens, with absolutely no regard for whether or not the occurrences are consistent with the characters, or whether or not they make any narrative sense. It’s storytelling in the dark. Poor Dennis Quaid suffers the brunt of it – his entire role is set in the cryo-room, engaged in increasingly ridiculous back-and-forths with Gigandet. God bless him – I would have shot myself.

As for the monsters – which Pandorum kept veiled in secrecy during the ad campaigns – they’re badass, but unfortunately just as hollow and flimsy as everything else in this movie. And oh man, by the time you get to the “twist ending” you’ll want to hunt down the filmmakers, bop them on the head with a rolled up newspaper and say, “Bad dog! No! No!”

In the end, there is nothing redeeming about this movie. For the first twenty minutes you’ll be handed the promise of a freaky sci-fi thriller (thank Foster, as usual, for making a lot out of a little), but after that, if you hang around for the rest of Pandorum, you too will be forced to watch that promise denigrate into cosmic slop.

Welcome to the first real disappointment of the fall 2009 movie season.

‘Pandorum’ German Trailer Released

Clips for the new science fiction-horror film Pandorum have been floating around in cyberspace, but the cowboys over at Shock Till You Drop have wrangled in the full German trailer for Pandorum. Behold!

The film finds two astronauts waking up aboard an empty spaceship that ought to have tens of thousands of people on it. To make matters worse, our two astronauts can’t remember who they are. In their explorations, they come across a small band of human survivors and terrifying monsters! Only those with the dough for admission or the patience for the wait until a TV broadcast will know what became of all those other passengers!

Pandorum stars Dennis “my name is not” Quaid (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) and Ben Foster (X-Men: The Last Stand, The Punisher). Quaid’s grown-man sincerity and Foster’s high-energy (read: pyscho) characterizations (Alpha Dog, Hostage, 3:10 to Yuma) could make for an interesting on-screen pairing. The film’s director, Christian Alvart, previously brought us the Renee Zwelleger thriller, Case 39, which I somehow missed (somehow…).

I’m gonna guess that if you actually sat through the German-language trailer for Pandorum, you’ve also seen other clips. That unfounded assumption made, why do you think every trailer for this film is almost entirely devoid of scary monsters? Seriously, in all the promo media released for Pandorum we’ve only gotten half a look at the monsters involved, but will the creatures really be that epic of a surprise? At this point they better be – otherwise all this “secrecy” would’ve been for the sake of a letdown…

Pandorum hits theaters on September 25th.

To start this week’s set, here’s the brand new French poster for the Cameron Diaz-starrer, The Box. The film is a horror-thriller which also stars the strong talents of James Marsden (X-Men trilogy) and Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon).

Here’s the official synopsis:

Norma and Arthur Lewis, a suburban couple with a young child, receive a simple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. A mysterious stranger, delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button. But, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world; someone they don’t know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in the cross-hairs of a startling moral dilemma and must face the true nature of their humanity.

The Box hits theaters November 6, 2009.

A bunch of new clips and TV spots have appeared online recently for five highly-anticipated movies: the sci-fi/horror flick, Pandorum, the zombie action-comedy, Zombieland, the martial arts action flick, Ninja Assassin, the teen horror/comedy, Jennifer’s Body, and the all-star comedy, The Men Who Stare at Goats.

And we have all of them here for your viewing pleasure!

PANDORUM

First up is a new clip for the upcoming sci-fi/horror, Pandorum, starring Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster. Set upon a deep space vessel 500 million miles away from earth, the film follows two crewman who wake from their cryogenic sleep to find the vessel’s population missing and mysterious creatures terrorizing it. The Event Horizon meets Alien meets Sunshine film has looked great so far – check out the latest creepy-as-hell clip from it:

Pandorum opens September 25th, 2009, in the U.S., and on October 2nd, 2009, in the UK.

Zombieland

Next we have three new clips/TV spots for the upcoming zombie action-comedy, Zombieland, starring Woody Harrelson, Jessie Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin and Amber Heard. The clips are short, but showcase the first three “Rules of Zombie Killing.” I won’t ruin them for you, check out the videos yourself to find out what they are (I know you’re just dying to know!):

Zombieland opens in the U.S. on October 2nd, 2009, and in the UK on November 27th, 2009.

The Scoop: Pretty little starlet Kate Beckinsale takes on this graphic novel turned killer-thriller. Beckinsale plays a U.S. Marshall investigating Antarctica’s first homicide as the sun sets for six entire months. Will she find the killer in the cold dark before he finds her?

SR Says: The trailer paints this movie as more X-Files than detective story, which could confuse some on the premise. However, cold weather and hot Beckinsale = worth the ticket price?

The Informant!
September 18, 2009
The Scoop: Director Steven Soderbergh helms an all-star cast providing you “a mix of A Beautiful Mind and The Insider.” Damon plays the exec of a agri-business giant who goes overboard working as a snitch for the Feds. It’s bi-polar, whistle-blowing storytelling at it’s best!

SR Says: It’s going to be amazing to see what this cast can pull off under Soderbergh’s direction with such an involved script.

See it? Yes.

Jennifer’s Body
September 18, 2009
The Scoop: Megan Fox plays a possessed cheerleader, with a fetish for feasting on boys (and girls). Hot sexy teens, girl on girl kissing/rubbing and more social satire from Juno writer Diablo Cody.

SR Says: Depends on how you feel about Megan Fox looking both sexy and grotesque in one film.

See it? If you like teen horror flicks, or are a devotee of Cody.

Pandorum
September 25, 2009
The Scoop: Ben Foster and Dennis Quaid star as two astronauts who wake up on an abandoned future spacecraft and have no idea what’s happened. As with all things in movies, time unveils the “truth” of what they face – a ship full of crazy space monsters.

SR Says: Dennis Quaid has had some woofers lately, but Ben Foster always offers something unique. MMA fans may recognize cast member Cung Le as the current Strikeforce Middleweight Champion, which guarantees at least two raucous fights in this thriller.

See it? Yes.

Surrogates
September 25th, 2009
The Scoop: In a future where people live life through robotic surrogates, Bruce Willis plays a cop who must venture back into the real world to investigate a string of crimes involving people dying while connected to their Surrogates.

SR Says: Jonathan Mostow is an underrated director, and seeing Bruce “alive” again, with great f/x and a bit of gravitas sounds like a great combination.

See it? Absolutely.

Pandorum: TV Spots & “Creature Feature” Clip

For you sci-fi/horror fans out there, there’s a new film up your alley coming out later this month called Pandorum, starring Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster as two crewmen on a deep space vessel who awaken from cryogenic sleep to find the crew missing and savage beasts terrorizing the ship.

The trailers and posters for Pandorum gave us a good tingly feeling that this film would be Event Horizon meets 28 Days Later and the Pandorum panel at Comic-Con this year only reinforced our anticipation for the flick.

Today we have two TV spots for Pandorum and a clip from the film that features a semi-first look at the deadly creatures roaming the shadows of the ship. If you still need incentive to see this movie, check them out.

We’ll do the TV spots first and then the “creature feature” clip, which some of you may want to skip because it kind of is a SPOILER. Thanks Shock ‘Til Ya Drop for nabbing the TV spots and Bloody-Disgusting for sharing their exclusive clip.

What I like about the creatures in this film is that they seem (from what little we’ve seen of them) to be not only savage and freakish, but smart (they seem to use weapons) strong and cunning as well. Something to be feared, for sure. And if I’m reading it right [SPOILER ALERT] and the creatures used to be the crew members, it adds another layer of disturbia to the story. I can’t wait to see it!

Pandorum got bumped back a week and will now be in theaters on September 25th.

This Week’s Collection of Movie Posters

As per usual, this week we have a brand new set of one-sheets for your viewing pleasure. This latest batch includes posters for Pandorum, Agora, Whip It, Astroy Boy, The House of the Devil, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant and 2012.

All of these movies open in the next three months so stay tuned for more news! Check out all of the new posters after the jump.

First up: from the IMPA gallery, a new poster for Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, starring John C. Reilly, Josh Hutcherson, Chris Massoglia and Ray Stevenson. It also famously features Salma Heyek as “The Bearded Lady.” Hot, right? I’ll pass.

This adventure fantasy film, directed by Paul Weitz, is about a young boy who meets a vampire who heads up a freak show. Of course he ends up joining and becomes a vampire himself. It is based on the 12-book series, The Saga of Darren Shan. It was set up as four trilogies so the film could have several sequels if it does well at the box-office.

The Vampire’s Assistant opens October 23, 2009.

Weekend Movie News Wrap Up: August 23, 2009

This Week:

The Basterds have landed at the top of the box office; Karl Urban takes a bite out of Priest; Summit attempts to grab Jodie Foster’s Beaver; Rosario Dawson boards Unstoppable; The Twilight Saga: Eclipse begins; Pandorum is pushed back and is it a trick or a treat for Trick r’ Treat?

Box Office

Quentin Tarantino scored the biggest opening of his career with Inglourious Basterds. The Brad Pitt film shot up an impressive $37 million over the weekend giving The Weinstein Company a much needed financial boost. The R-rated Nazi killing epic will have a chance of cracking $100 million if word of mouth is good.

District 9 dropped less than 50% this weekend after banking an estimated $18.9 million. With $73 million already in the bag it looks like this $30 million film will be very profitable.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra banked another $12.5 million. The action-figure movie has now taken an impressive $120 million. The sequel should be out in a couple of years.

The Time Traveler’s Wife took $10 million this weekend. With a television series on the way it looks like someone somewhere thought that this would be profitable.

Julie & Julia is playing as expected. Just down 25% from last weekend The Meryl Streep starrer banked $9 million this weekend. The film has now made a healthy $59 million.

Robert Rodriguez’s Shorts didn’t open as well as his buddy Quentin Tarantino. The directors latest family film grossed a meek $6.5 million. It was probably very cheap so it’ll turn a profit.

G-Force’s total now stands at $107 million after making $4 million. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince brought in another $3 million. With $290 in the bank already it looks like this Potter pic might just limp to the magic $300 million barrier.

The Ugly Truth and Post Grad were pretty much neck and neck with just under $3 million each. One has a grand total of $82 million and the other will finish it’s run with under $10 million.

Movie News

1. Star Trek and Lord of the Rings star (we’ll forget about Pathfinder) Karl Urban has signed on to Priest.
In the Scott Stewart directed film, Urban will play Black Hat, an evil vampire in the Paul Bettany film.

Hollywood really has gone vampire crazy lately. Let’s hope it doesn’t suck!

2. Summit Entertainment is in “advanced talks” to buy Jodie Foster’s The Beaver. The Mel Gibson starrer follows a depressed man who starts wearing a hand-puppet of the titular beaver.

I’m looking forward to this quirky dramedy.

3. Rosario Dawson has jumped on board Tony Scott’s action-thriller Unstoppable. The runaway train film stars Scott favorite Denzel Washington and Captain Kirk himself, Chris Pine.

The film has had a start-stop momentum from when it was announced earlier in the year with Washington leaving the project when 20th Century Fox wanted him to make the film for less than his usual $20 million pay day. An agreement was reached and the film regained its drive.

Unstoppable arrives on November 12, 2010

4. Earlier in the week cameras started rolling on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

That’s right you can now start anticipating new news featuring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and company. The hugely successful vampire series has been a massive hit with teens and fans of vampire fiction.

Creator Stephenie Meyer’s bank manager is also very interested in the books too!

Join Edward and Bella at a cinema near you when The Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens on June 30, 2010.

4. If you’ve been waiting to see the Dennis Quaid/ Ben Foster sci-fi horror, Pandorum, then you’re going to have to wait a while longer. The film has now been pushed back a week to September 25th, moving it away from coming out at the same time as the Megan Fox starring/ Diablo Cody-scripted Jennifer’s Body.

Pandorum will now open opposite Bruce Willis’ Sci-fi actioner Surrogates.

5. Speaking of release dates – Michael Dougherty’s Trick r’ Treat finally has a concrete release. The long-awaited film will be out in time for… you guessed it: Halloween. Trick r’ Treat will be available on DVD and Blu-ray from Tuesday, October 6.

New Posters: Surrogates, Pandorum, The Informant!

Today we have a batch of new posters from three movies that are set to hit theaters before the end of the year. These include the new Bruce Willis action-sci-fi/thriller film Surrogates, the Dennis Quaid/Ben Foster sci-fi/horror-thriller, Pandorum, and the Matt Damon political comedy, The Informant!.

I’m looking forward to all three of these movies: Surrogates looks like a lot of fun, Pandorum looks creepy and atmospheric as hell and The Informant! looks hilarious. Check out the new posters for the three movies below:

For Surrogates, we have a bunch of new posters, all employing the same style of having the human bodies revealed as machines. They’re cool and all but don’t they remind you of something? They’re shockingly similar to the ones for The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Take a look and see for yourself:

Do you see the comparisons to The Sarah Connor Chronicles posters I was talking about? The text style, the blank background, the sleek-ness, the general human-machine idea – all strikingly similar. I do like the tagline for Surrogates, though. And I find it interesting that apart from his name, star Bruce Willis is nowhere to be seen.

Next up, we have the final one-sheet for Pandorum, starring Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster, courtesy of Bloody-Disgusting. I’ve been looking forward to this movie ever since I saw the first poster and trailer, and this latest (and final) one-sheet just ups my anticipation even more. Check it out:

What… the…

The final poster we have today is for the upcoming political comedy/thriller, The Informant!. It reunites Matt Damon with director Steven Soderbergh for the fifth time, and it looks bloody brilliant in my eyes. Damon looks to be playing one of his most diverse characters, at least as far as his appearance goes. The first poster for the film was unusual, cheerful and goofy, and the latest follows suit. Take a look:

The poster is very much in the style of the work of Saul Bass who’s best known for his title sequence and poster work with the late-great Alfred Hitchcock (Vertigo being one their most notable collaborations – check out the poster and legendary title sequence). The Informant! poster certainly stands out amongst a lot of others, and you might have to look close but I love the tagline: “Based on a tattle-tale.”

Clever.

Freaktastic New Poster for Pandorum

The more we here at Screen Rant cover Pandorum – the upcoming sci-fi/horror/thriller starring Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma) and Dennis Quaid as two crew members who awaken from hyper-sleep aboard a nightmarish spacecraft – the more I get excited for the film to drop this fall.

Up until now promo materials for the film have included some truly creepy posters and a goosebump-inducing final trailer. Today, we have a new Pandorum poster that tops all the rest in terms of creepiness, and may just offer us yet another clue as to what the mysterious force terrorizing the spacecraft is. Take a look:

Dude, all I can say about his poster is SICK. If I were walking in a movie theater (instead of being an Internet Geek who can’t wait that long) and saw this poster, I would have to stop and take notice.

Again, this film could turn out to be a huge disappointment but at this point I don’t think it will: I love Ben Foster and I’ve heard nothing but good things about director Christian Alvart’s last film, Antibodies (which I hear is getting a U.S. remake, for better or worse). Plus, after watching the first and final trailers a few times, I can say that I haven’t felt chills like this from a sci-fi/horror/thriller since Event Horizon (which I am still too traumatized to watch alone).

Earlier this year, a sci-fi horror-thriller by the name of Pandorum popped firmly onto our radar when the insanely creepy poster and thrilling trailer were released for it. Another Pandorum poster soon followed that was equally as creepy as the first, and last month a full trailer for the film was released, which put it firmly on the list of anticipated films for 2009.

To promote Pandorum, actor Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma, X-Men: The Last Stand) and few of the film’s other stars made an appearance at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors, where an interview with Foster revealed more about the film. Courtesy of io9, here is some of what Ben Foster had to say:

io9 – “Ben, what was it about this character that appealed to you?”

Ben Foster – “I liked the idea of not remembering who you are. And having to get back to a primitive reaction. I liked the nightmare element in it. I don’t know how you guys sleep, but I don’t sleep too well. I wanted to play with that experience of being so lost, having to depend on instinct. We’ve all had these nightmares actually getting to bring these things into a living experience was exciting to play with.”

io9 – “You mentioned that this movie is substantially violent, how so?”

Ben Foster – “It’s a thriller, a scifi horror movie. It bounces through a lot of different genres. I imagine it will appeal to a wider audience, it certainly scared the shit out of me when I read it…. When I read this script, it had me. There were a lot of interesting physical twists and physical demands which were exciting to play with.”

I’ve always found Foster to be an interesting actor to watch. With his roles in such films as 3:10 To Yuma (he almost out-acted Russell Crowe and Christian Bale), Hostage (the film’s highlight), the TV show Six Feet Under (just one of many brilliant performances within the show), 30 Days of Night (he was one hell of a creepy stranger), Alpha Dog (about the only thing I thought was worth a damn in that movie) and heck, even in X-Men: The Last Stand he was good as the winged Angel.

Pandorum looks like a great sci-fi/horror thrill ride that, as Foster mentions, mixes various genres to great affect. The trailers have been brilliantly put together, simultaneously giving us enough to get us intrigued, without giving away too much as to ruin any plot twists (which trailers for these types of movies often do). I personally can’t wait for the film.

Just as a reminder, Pandorum takes place on a ship which is millions of miles away from Earth, where Foster and his captain (played by Dennis Quaid) wake up with no memory of what’s happened or where the ship’s population of 60,000 has disappeared to. It stars Ben Foster, Dennis Quaid, Cam Gigandet and Cung Le. It is directed by Christian Alvart.

In Pandorum, actors, Dennis Quaid (Vantage Point, The Express) and Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma, Alpha Dog), join Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down, Twilight), Cung Le (Tekken, Fighting), newcomer Antje Traue and director Christian Alvart (Antibodies) to tell the terrifying story of two crew members stranded on a spacecraft who quickly realize they are not alone. Two astronauts awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It’s pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the spacecraft. They can’t remember anything – who are they, what is their mission? The only way out of the chamber is a dark and narrow airshaft. Corporal Bower (Foster), the younger of the two, crawls inside, while the other, Lt. Payton (Quaid), stays behind for guidance on a radio transmitter. As Bower ventures deeper and deeper into the ship, he begins to uncover a terrifying reality. New Posters: Inglourious Basterds, Public Enemies, Transformers 2 & More!

We’ve been slacking off here a little bit recently when it comes to presenting and talking about newest posters that have been revealed online so it’s time to play catch-up.

Today we have a batch of posters that cover Public Enemies, Transformers 2, A Christmas Carol, Inglourious Basterds and Pandorum.

The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen poster continues the Egyptian theme we saw with the previous three posters – this is the final poster for the movie. The new Inglourious Basterds poster continues the trend of profiling the main characters in the Quentin Tarantino WWII epic, this time with focus on Til Schweiger.

Next up are the first new posters for Public Enemies since the Johnny Depp one-sheet debuted back in March that was similar to the Joker poster for The Dark Knight. The three posters show off the main characters of Michael Mann’s Public Enemies:

Last but not least, we have the first poster of Jim Carrey in Disney’s A Christmas Carol as well as a very cool poster for Pandorum that came out not too long ago. The new Pandorum poster continues in the same creepy style that we in the first one-sheet from March which had some guy with wires and pipes coming through his eyes and mouth.

Creepy ‘Pandorum’ & Mysterious ‘Order of Chaos’ Posters

For your viewing pleasure we have a couple of new posters: One extremely creepy, the other evoking bewilderment.

The first is for the creepy sci-fi flick Pandorum, which stars Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster (Angel from X-Men 3: United). The plot synopsis is as follows:

Two crewmen awaken from hyper-sleep aboard a spacecraft. None of their equipment is working, and their memories are incomplete. What was their mission? How much time has passed? Where are they? Who are they? As they try to piece things together, they discover they are not alone, and the ship’s new inhabitants are moving among them, intent on killing all aboard. As the space travelers unravel the frightening and deadly secrets the ship harbors, they realize the survival of mankind hinges on their actions. They must regain control of the ship before Pandorum takes over.

Wow, sounds creepy indeed. Although wait until you see the poster and trailer:

This film sounds like a strange hybrid of the original Alien, Steven Soderbergh’s remake of Solaris, Event Horizon and Danny Boyle’s Sunshine – I think if you took those four and put them in a blender you’d get something resembling Pandorum. Although perhaps it’s just fancy trailer editing that evokes those comparisons.

The next film is one we know relatively little about called Order of Chaos. The film is written and directed by Vince Vieluf (making his directing debut), and on the casting side of things it stars Heroes’ Milo Ventimiglia, along with Samantha Mathis, Rhys Coiro (Entourage, CSI) and Mimi Rogers. Thanks to FirstShowing after doing some research, the general plot is as follows:

“The film [a thriller] chronicles the duplicitous relationship between a naive attorney and a neighbor-colleague and their fierce competition to move up in the firm and get ahead in life.”

It’s a bit on the vague side, as is the wicked poster:

That is just about one of the most well designed, coolest and most interesting to look at posters I have seen in a long, long time. It’s always hard to come up with a unique poster and catch people’s attention (I’m so sick of the “floating heads” thing we see so much of) and this one certainly stands alone. Simple but tremendously effective.

Out of the two I’m probably more interested in Order of Chaos, simply because of the mysterious nature of it (and that kick-ass poster shown above). Until a trailer or more info comes out about it we can ponder just what the poster is all about.
