The new trailer for Ong Bak 3 is online and awesome, featuring elephant tusk fighting and the great Tony Jaa.

In case you are new to the Ong Bak trilogy, the new trailer for Ong Bak 3 should at least pique your interest. It is literally 60 seconds of awesome. From start to finish, this film looks just as intense as the first two installments of the cult hit series.

Anyway, the film appears to continue the trend of not sticking to a single storyline, a la James Bond. Collider explained the official synopsis for the third installment:

“The legend of Ong Bak 3 begins after Tien (Tony Jaa) has lost his fighting skills and his beloved stepfather at the Garuda’s Wing cliff during the raid led by Jom Rachan (Saranyu Wonggrajang). Tien is brought back to life with help from Pim (Primrata Dechudom) as well as Mhen (Petchai Sirijanya), and is able ...

Click to continue reading New Ong Bak 3 Trailer

Poor Tony Jaa, he started off with a ferocious punch to theater screens back in 2003 with the original Ong Bak and then followed it up with a great display of martial art acrobatics in The Protector (American title). Critics and fans were comparing him with an aging Jackie Chan and Jet Li and some speculated that he might actually be this generation’s martial arts phenomenon. Then Ong Bak 2 came out and things started going downhill.

Jaa directed Ong Bak 2 but had a mental meltdown on the set and left to meditate in the forest for several weeks. His dramatic display of anguish slowed down filming and the film took way longer than it should have to finish. Ultimately, this hurt both the film’s box office chances and Jaa’s reputation. I’m not even sure if Ong Bak 2 opened in ...

Click to continue reading Ong Bak 3 Trailer – Heavy on Action, Short on Story

Happy Friday everyone!

We missed last week due to the launch of our sister site, GameRant.com and the fact that there was quite a few less one-sheets than normal so instead, I’ve combined them all from the last two weeks into this edition of Poster Friday.

Screen Rant’s wall this week now includes new one-sheets for Avatar, Precious, Crazy on the Outside, Daybreakers, Lost, Salt, Alice in Wonderland, Crazy Heart, Kick-Ass, The Yellow Handkerchief, Caprica, All About Evil, The Wolfman, Ong Bak 3, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, From Paris with Love and Wonderful World.

In addition to that we have some neat stylistic posters for some popular television shows.

Let’s get to ...

Click to continue reading Poster Friday: Avatar, Kick-Ass, Lost, Salt & More!
