‘MythBusters’ Mishap Sends A Cannonball Flying… Through A House [Video]

After 8 years on the air, Discovery Channel’s hit series MythBusters has finally had their first public accident during filming. While testing out a particular myth involving a cannon, a misfire occurred, which sent a cannonball flying through a nearby home. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The accident happened at 4pm on Tuesday, December 6, near the familiar Alameda County bomb range. Originally, the cannonball was supposed to pass through several barrels of water and a cinder block wall, in order to slow the projectile down. Upon misfiring, the cannon lifted and hit something that caused it to shoot over the protective hillside that surrounds the bomb range.

Complete Comic-Con 2011 TV Panel Schedule [Updated]

Check your calendar, because Comic-Con 2011 will soon be upon us. With over 70 different TV panels confirmed for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, finding out when and where you’re favorite television series will be appearing is definitely easier said than done.

On top of that, some of Comic-Con’s fan-favorite TV series have been upgraded from the hallowed Ballroom 20, and will now be gracing the 5,000-seat Hall H. So, this year you won’t be able to simply sit in one room all day to catch many of the major television events has to offer at Comic-Con.

Comic-Con 2010 Saturday Schedule: Our TV Panel Picks

Saturday’s Comic-Con schedule has been released and while the buzz around the con that day may be about Green Lantern, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Thor, make no mistake that TV is stepping up to the plate and bringing the thunder as well.

Some of the panels included in Saturday’s schedule are heavy-hitters Chuck, MythBusters, Sanctuary, Vampire Diaries and Community. If that’s not enough, you can hit-up panels for Warehouse 13, Eureka, Fringe, V and ABC’s new fall drama, No Ordinary Family (I’ve seen it. It’s amazing!)

As with our previous Comic-Con schedules, we’ve jumped into the geek pool, filtered out all the nerdy binary code and selected our picks for Saturday’s television panels.

First Look: MythBusters Fall Premiere

This Wednesday, October 7^th at 9PM, will mark the return of (arguably) one of the best programs on television, MythBusters, and in typical MythBuster fashion, they kick it all off with superhuman punching robots, bullets, pneumatic triggers, explosives and… socks?

In the fall premiere, Adam (Savage) and Jamie (Hyneman) take on the classic theory, “If one bullet is fired and the other is dropped simultaneously from the same height, which will hit the ground first?”

Once again, Adam and Jamie attempt to take on a myth that’s so intricate and complex that is has never been attempted before. Until now, that is.
