The day has come for all us Lost fans when we can start officially marking our calendars for the air date of the season 6 premiere. ABC has announced that the sixth and final season of Lost will kick off on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 with a three-hour event, that is, a one-hour recap show (as per usual) shown at 8:00pm, followed by the two-hour season premiere entitled “LA X” (the space is intentional, FYI) at 9:00pm-11:00pm.

Moving from last year’s Wednesday night slot, season six of ABC’s hit mystery show will settle in on Tuesdays, mainly because it doesn’t want to compete with ABC’s Wednesday comedy-show lineup (nor did they want to move the successful line-up to another day to make way for Lost). The schedule for later in season 6 is still being worked out, but it’s being purported that the new series V will follow Lost at 10:00pm. If we continue without breaks/hitches, the Lost series finale will air on May 18th, 2010.

He also explained that some of the rumors are overzealous and that everytime he’s met with Damon about non-Lost related stuff, the obvious assumption is always made that they’re discussing his return to the series.

“I think a lot of times recently there’s been talk of us hanging out, and why would they be hanging out other than talking about Lost? We had breakfast one time, and I think that was the reason why a lot of these Lost rumors started.”

And lastly, he said the following without actually confirming his return.

“I’m sure they would be keen to bring back certain characters this season.”

I’m sure they would to and I’m pretty confident that we’ll see Charlie back in our favorite show.

It’ll be a great final season to see all of the characters of old have some part in it and I can’t wait. Charlie was a cool character and Lost is one of my favorite shows. Since Charlie died sacrificing himself, we’ve only seen him through Hurley’s visions – It’ll be nice to have him back alive and well, or whatever comes closest to that on the island.

Are you excited for season 6 of Lost and seeing Charlie return?

Season 6 of Lost premieres with a two-hour special titled “LA X” early next year.

The nominees have been announced for the fourth annual Scream Awards, held every year by Spike TV. The decisively more “fan-friendly” award ceremony (compared to the Oscars) honors films from the sci-fi, fantasy, horror and comic-book genres of movies, TV shows and comic books. The awards are described as, “the first and only global event of its kind,” to honor those genres.

The Scream 2009 nominees were chosen by the Advisory Board of Hollywood and Genre Leaders, a list which this year includes the likes of Wes Craven, Roland Emmerich, Neil Gaiman, Frank Miller, Eli Roth and Zack Snyder, plus many more. The event will be taped on Saturday, October 17th this year at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles, and will air on Spike TV ten days later on Tuesday, October 27th (check for local times).

Along with the awards, the show will also be airing some exclusive, world premiere of footage of some of the most anticipated movies of 2010! Presenters and musicians for the event are to be announced shortly.

Although some of the awards are truly suspect (how the hell The Spirit got nominated for ANYTHING is beyond me), I still like the overall celebration of the type of sci-fi, fantasy, comic book and horror films we here at Screen Rant revel in Although I won’t go into a specific rundown of who I think should win, I’d like to throw my opinion in the ring for a few of them:

Lost should win Best TV Show (I love Dexter, but it’s no Lost); Best Horror Movie should go to Let The Right One In (I would say Drag Me To Hell, but since that’s a comedy too, Let The Right One takes it for me); Best Actor in a Fantasy Movie Or TV Show should go to Brad Pitt for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button; and Best Comic Book Movie should (EASILY) go to Watchmen.

But enough from me, what and who will YOU vote for? As stated, you can cast your votes over at Spike.com, and you can see if the winners match your picks when the Scream Awards 2009 air on October 27th this year on Spike TV.

Lost is one of those programs that will always have it’s own, unique, original footprint on television history. Its power to overwhelm with wonder, character arcs and “flash-back-flash-forward” stories is legendary. As the series enters it’s final season, it promises to continue to deliver, in particular with the recent cast addition of Japanese Elvis-level-star, Hiroyuki Sanada (Speed Racer).

Exactly what role Hiroyuki will be filling is still up for grabs, but suffice to say – mysterious pan-flute-laden music will follow most of Hiroyuki Sanada during his steps in the upcoming final season of Lost.

Just as was evidenced recently with Korean-born actor Byung-hun Lee’s (Storm Shadow) turn in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, American audiences often are uniquely unaware of just how famous and popular people showing up “in our programs” are in their home countries across the pond. Hiroyuki Sanada, who celebrates his 50th birthday later this year, started acting when he was a child. He has a wide and varied career that continues to grow with projects like his inclusion in this last, grand season of Lost.

Lost is a show that really inspires entertainment critics and viewers of all kinds. I am continually impressed with the show’s ability to not only dip into the idea well but the character well too – even this close to the end of its run. It showcases a raising of the bar for creative vision, while driving you to want to watch every week in order to “see what will happen next” – one of the most fundamental, but often-forgotten, commandments of great television.

Today we got news for you on a former Deadwood actor whose getting Lost this season; the gang at 24 are wondering if their eighth day will be their last; Syfy will be re-opening the doors to Warehouse 13 next season; Heroes has a new poster; Apollo plays in the Dollhouse; Star Wars will soon be on TV; and ABC gets room at Clive Barker’s Hotel.

All that, and we bid farewell to a TV News Legend (see above). Let’s get to it:

.

LOST

Lost will be adding a new cast member to its sixth and final season. Deadwood’s John Hawkes (he played Jewish entrepreneur Sol Star) will join the Lost crew as Lennon, a ““Scruffy, edgy, charismatic, and slightly stir-crazy…spokesperson/translator for the president of a foreign corporation. He’s a wily negotiator, and far more powerful than his lowly position would seem to indicate.”

Hmmm… Could he be working for the nefarious Charles Widmore? Or perhaps the mysterious Hanso Corporation?

Guess we’ll find out for (semi-)sure when Lost returns next year.

Source: THR

.

24

Apparently, the 24 cast and crew are preparing Jack Bauer’s next day out to POSSIBLY be his last. In the event that Fox chooses to ax the show after its eighth season, the producers are filming several alternate season-enders that will either tie off the saga of Jack Bauer for good, or leave room for the show to live to fight another day.

Said producer Evan Katz: “We’re flexible. We have a scenario that would work well if the show ends. But we also have scenarios where it could go on.”

Hmmm… when DOES Jack Bauer start to overstay his welcome? If this upcoming season is as good as the last one, maybe it would be a good idea to go out on a high note. Judging from his nervous behavior at the Comic-Con 24 panel, star Kiefer Sutherland may be ready to move on…

24 returns in January.

Syfy’s Summer series Warehouse 13 has been something of a hit: after debuting in July to 3.5 million viewers, the cable series has managed to steadily however around the 3.7 million viewers mark every week.

Those strong numbers have made it a no-brainer for Syfy to order an additional 13 episodes of the show; Warehouse 13 season two will premiere next summer.

Sorry W13 fans, I know that’s a long time to wait – but you got to give the rest of us time to catch up / catch on!

Lost fans everywhere have been left hanging for months and months after the mind-blowing Season 5 finale, wondering just what the sixth and final season of Lost will entail. Just one of the many things on the list of questions we all have in mind is what will the title of the final season’s two-hour premiere be? Well, today, almost six months in advanced, the title has been revealed: “LA X”

And YES, the space is intended…

The title hint first came about from a video by comedian Paul Scheer of him “sneaking into” ABC’s lot to try and talk to Lost writers, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. Scheer recently made an appearance at the Lost panel at Comic-Con where he presented Lindelof and Cuse with a hand-made velvet painting of the two writers with a polar bear (the website he provided as well was the aptly named www.damoncartlonandapolarbear.com). At first Scheer just seemed like some crazy overly enthusiastic fan wanting to express his love for the show (all us Lost fans feel like him inside, we just don’t show it in front of other people…).

However, when Scheer sent /Film a letter a little while ago -- followed by a mysterious letter sent to the site from Ronie Midfew Arts, claiming that Scheer was making Lost art entirely without their permission -- the “average fan” status of Mr. Scheer started to become dubious. Now, with the following video, I think it’s clear that Scheer is part of some sort of Lost viral marketing campaign (probably an ARG, or alternate reality game, which gives people the chance to uncover clues by working out puzzles and the like). Check out the video, but keep your wits about you: there are some Lost Easter eggs and a couple of appearances from a certain duo of writers:

So… “LA X”, eh?

There’s already been lots of speculation running rampant in the relatively short time since this info has been released. Obviously the title is a play on LAX, the Los Angeles airport where Oceanic 815 was supposed to have landed. But obviously that space in between the “LA” and the “X” isn’t just as a result of Lindelof or Cuse’s finger slipping on the keyboard -- it’s been confirmed as being, “important.” So what could it mean?

.

[Warning: Lost Seasons 1-5 SPOILERS ahead]

The X could refer to the year 2010 (X being the roman numeral for the number 10) -- the year which the final season of Lost will premiere. It could be signifying that Jack’s plan to reset the timeline worked and the point where our Losties reappear will be at LAX airport as was planned. It could mean the exact opposite of that, and that a safe timeline reset to LAX isn’t happening, with the X being spaced away from the preceding letters. Some fans are even suggesting that the “LA” is French (meaning “The”) and the X is a variable (X usually being substituted for any unknown number). The theories, as they always do with regards to Lost, go on and on…

And on and on…

I personally am more for the “Whatever Happened, Happened” theory -- meaning that Jack’s plan didn’t work and that the Losties would end up back in 2007 with Ben, Sun, Frank and Co. But it’s looking more and more (especially with this mysterious title) like there will be some sort of reversion back to the plan having worked in some way. However, I’m sure it won’t be as cut and dry as, “The plane never crashed.”

[End of SPOILERS]

.

In the end it’s Lost, so the title could mean a 1001 different things. We just don’t know enough about what Season 6 is going to even BE to have anything to extrapolate from the title. All we can really do for the time being is speculate.

What do you think the title “LA X” means?

The sixth and final season of Lost is set to premiere in early 2010.

Then they had a bunch of fan videos, starting out with showing people having Lost parties – but then they had some mashups that were great, including showing Jack and Sawyer as the romantic couple on the show, Jack waiting for X-Box support on the phone, a toy Hurley shooting a bunch of toy baseball players wearing the ubiquitous numbers. Great stuff.

Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse were on hand and they said that we’ll be seeing characters that we haven’t seen since the first season.

During the Q&A a very funny fan came up and unveiled a velvet painting with Damon, Carlton and a polar bear.

Faraday will reappear on the show next season.

Time travel season is over, flash forward is over – of course wouldn’t comment on what the theme of next season would be.

Jorge Garcia (Hugo) showed up in the question line. He asked if the bomb at the end of last season did really reset things because that would mean that the last 5 years never happened and that would be, like, a cheat.

Then Michael Emerson (Ben) showed up next to him and it was very funny with Michael grilling Jorge about asking too many questions. He was really razzing him and it was hysterical. Jorge said that Michael really wanted to play Hurley and he was mad about that.

We will finally get Richard’s backstory this season.

Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) will be in the final season.

Comedian “Bob Stencil” showed up as he did last year. They expected him and gave him a special Bob Stencil/Dharma t-shirt.

They then had a backstage video with Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert) supposedly catching him unaware on camera as he was acting like a diva actor.

Josh Holloway (Sawyer) showed up. He fake tasered Damon Lindelof to try to get the final page of the final episode of the script from them. Michael grabbed the page, started reading it and it was about Sylar and Parkman and a collapsing, flaming circus tent.

They then showed an “In Memoriam” video showing every major character who has died during the course of the series – I’d actually forgotten about some of them (like Mr. Eko).

Every year (and this is of course, the last) the Lost panel divulges almost nothing but the producers really go out of their way to entertain the heck out of the fans – this year was no exception.

Just as they’re gearing up for a 6th and final season of Lost, it seems that ABC will be doing it without Brian K Vaughan.

Vaughan, whose works include Y: Last the Last Man and Ex Machina, has “left for greener pastures,” as executive producer Damon Lindelof put it.

Not sure what could be considered greener than Lost these days, but there ya have it. Vaughan’s affect on the scripts could be seen through the edge he had with putting together plot twists.

As it stands, if Vaughan is freeing himself up to work on a new project, whether it be comic book or film or TV, then we just may be seeing some good stuff coming our way soon.

But does Vaughan already have something in the works?

In a blog post from a year ago, he talks about DreamWorks buying a supernatural-comedy screenplay of his called Roundtable and he indicated that he’ll be executive producing it. He also made note that he was writing an adaptation of Runaways for Marvel Studios.

Despite these entries being a year old, these projects are still considered to be in development today. That’s where I believe these “greener pastures” most likely lay.

Which do you think is the stronger lure for Brian? Comics or TV? Since Watchmen was his inspiration to write, I’d lean towards his making time to work on his comics. However, with two other film projects on his plate, hey, one needs to pay the bills and have fun doing it.

As always, comments are welcomed from our Screen Rant readers.

Wow, Comic-Con 2009 is already less than three weeks away. Seems like only a couple of months ago since we were there. Last year was a ton of work but also a blast (click here for our wrap up of the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con), and this year we’ll be providing even more extensive coverage for you with additional staff to cover the event.

Unfortunately if you want to attend this year and don’t already have tickets you’re probably out of luck as it’s been sold out for a while. But fear not, we’ll try to give you all the goods here on the site over the course of the event. It starts with preview night on Wednesday, July 22nd and runs through Sunday July 26th.

Included among the movies and TV shows that will be covered this year are:

James Cameron’s Avatar (with 3D (rumored) footage from the film)

The upcoming Sci-Fi alien invasion flick with a twist: District 9 (including an appearance by Peter Jackson).

Mike Judge will be on hand to promote his new comedy Extract.

The premiere of Mystery Team.

Where the Wild Things Are.

Tron

Sherlock Holmes

Jonah Hex

2012

Thirst

Ninja Assassin

Lost

The pilot for the TV series remake V.

Doctor Who (with an appearance by David Tennant)

FlashForward

Caprica & Battlestar Galactica: The Plan

Oh, and of course Iron Man 2, for which I’m sure director Jon Favreau has something very special planned.

Also, this year Screen Rant has been invited to participate in the “Masters of the Web” panel (shocking, I know – I certainly didn’t expect it!). The panel will be moderated by director Kevin Munroe and will include an appearance by Brandon Routh and Sam Huntington, along with a preview of their upcoming film Dead of Night.

Here is the list of panelists:

It will be held Thursday, July 23rd at 3pm – 4pm in Room 32AB.

Robert Sanchez of IESB.net organizes the panel and puts together what is arguably the most awesome party every year at Comic-Con: The Wrath of Con party (one of my highlights of Comic-Con).

Last year at the Masters of the Web panel tickets to the party were given away to some lucky winners. Here’s my favorite pic from last year’s party.

Doug Nagy, Alex Billington and me with the beauties from the movie 'Bitch Slap': Erin Cummings, America Olivo and Julia Voth.

As Comic-Con approaches, keep up to date with our San Diego Comic-Con updates (check the logo on the right) here on Screen Rant and on Twitter.com by searching for #sdcc or #cc09. I’ll be there along with SR writers Kofi Outlaw, Bruce Simmons, Rob Keyes (and maybe) Paul Young. We’ll be doing live-blogging, panel summaries and hopefully we’ll get you an exclusive or two.

We may try to schedule an impromptu dinner, probably on Sunday night, where we’ll get together to decompress after the whole thing. If you’re around downtown San Diego maybe you can join us. We’ll firm this up as we get closer to the actual date.

Anyway, we’re all looking forward to it and we hope you are, too.

Today we’re going to talk a little bit about House’s next season, plus casting news about Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty.

We’ve got contract news on Law and Order:SVU, insight into Wentworth Miller’s (Prison Break) next role, and some bits about Sons of Anarchy and Nip/Tuck.

We’ve also got some late-breaking bits we’ve added this afternoon with regards to the creator of My Name Is Earl, and the final season of Lost.

We have the usual weekly recap of ratings from the previous week, but it’s not the usual list. The source is having issues distributing the information, so I’ve done the best I can this week.

And of course we wrap up with the ratings from last week.

A Thought About House’s Upcoming Season

With the new season of House coming up, we all know that House has committed himself.

But have you thought about how things will be once he’s out and back at work?

Neither did I, but according to executive producer Katie Jacobs, we should be prepared for the hospital to be working differently.

“A doctor can’t check into a mental institution and just walk back into his job like nothing happened. We will not start forsaking reality. This [story] will have consequences.”

.

Lost Gets One More Hour

The mythos of ABC’s Lost is so big that the last season of the show couldn’t contain the entire story. At least that’s one take on why ABC has added an extra hour to the next season.

Now, instead of 17 hours, you’ll have 18 hours of getting Lost.

No facts are concrete, but rumors say they’ve added an additional storyline to the season.

Not to be a horrid tease, but with all the supposition about Charlie, I have to wonder if that’s the extra storyline?

Gossip Girl Casting News

Hillary Duff will be joining the cast of Gossip Girl for a guest appearance in a multi-episode story arc.

She’ll be playing a movie star (shocking) named Olivia Burke who ends up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr).

Duff’s first episode will air on October 5th.

Ugly Betty Cast Update

If anyone is wondering about Daniel Eric Gold’s status on Ugly Betty, wonder no more.

Gold is returning to the show and he’s becoming a full-time series regular.

Greg Garcia Heads To Fox

It was a sad day earlier this week as production staff cleared out the facility that was being used as the set location for My Name Is Earl. With the show gone, folks are looking for work and the creator / executive producer of Earl, Greg Garcia, was one of them.

News is that he’s landed a gig over on Fox developing a new pilot for the network.

This new pilot is about “a 25-year-old who winds up having to raise an infant with the help of his quirky family. The kid was the result of a one-night stand with a woman who ended up on death row for murder.”

If you feel like it sounds familiar, even Garcia admits that this comes from the kind of world that Earl inhabited. At least he’s honest.

Law And Order:SVU Contract Renewals

Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni have successfully extended their contracts for 2 more years.

Unconfirmed sources say that the pair will be making roughly $325k per episode, or $6.5 million a year, each. I’m wondering if they’d pay me to be in just one episode. I’m not greedy!

Where Will Wentworth Miller Show Up Next?

After playing a felon on the run in Prison Break, Wentworth Miller will next appear in a guest role on Law and Order: SVU’s season premiere episode, and this time he’ll be on the other side of the badge.

He’ll be playing a member of the NYPD Blue named Nate Kendal who ends up saving a rape victim.

Wentworth fans, set your DVR’s. The episode will air September 23rd.

FX Programming Reminders

Sons of Anarchy returns to the cable network with fresh episodes beginning on September 8th and Nip/Tuck returns in October.

.

Ratings

Either my source or Nielsen are having issues with the data, so I’ve only got the top 20 ranked shows from last week to share with you.

As you can see, America’s Got Talent dominated while a repeat of NCIS takes the title of highest-rated scripted drama. Considering all the fanfare going on, I’m a bit surprised that the Michael Jackson special on CBS was only at 13th on the list. A pleasant surprise is that The Philanthropist landed in the top 20, settling in at 16th. I’m glad it ranked where it did and considering the quality of its story, I hope it improves. You can check out my quick review of The Philanthropist to see what myself and others thought of the show.

Rank, Show Title, (Repeat, Premiere, Special), Network, Viewers in the Millions

1. America’s Got Talent-Tue (P) NBC – 11.5 < NBC’s best performer
2. NCIS (R) CBS – 11.1 < CBS’s Best performer
20. Dateline Friday NBC – 6.7

.

Selected Top Cable Shows

As you can see, break-ups help reality TV as Jon & Kate ratings spiked, marking another good week for TLC with The Closer, Royal Pains, Burn Notice and NCIS snagging spots in the top-20 cable slots for their respective networks.

1. BET Awards Show, BET – 10.7
2. Jon & Kate Plus 8, TLC – 10.6
4. WWE Entertainment, USA – 7.3
5. The Closer, TNT – 6.4
8. Royal Pains, USA – 5.9
9. Sprint Cup Racing/Loudon, TNT – 5.6
12. Burn Notice, USA – 5.3
17. NCIS, USA – 4.2
20. Confed. Cup Soccer, ESPN – 3.9

.

I’m looking forward to how they mix up the chemistry of House with the new equation of his having been committed and it’s good to see that Law and Order: SVU will retain the steadfast cast that’s been in place since 1999. I was a bit worried, considering how the network had renewed the show before the two lead actors were resigned. For you Gossip Girl fans (who ask me to cover news on the show), I’m wondering if you feel like having big-name stars come and go on the show is great to see or just distracting? Do you think it’s only a ruse to boost ratings?

As always, questions and comments are welcome here on Screen Rant.

Matthew Fox has been the actor from the cast of Lost that has spoken the most publicly about his thoughts on the show’s mind-boggling fifth season, and of course the finale that left us all with eyes wide and drooling, with a million-and-one things to ponder until the sixth and last season starts in early 2010. But with Emerson playing one of the most interesting characters on the show (I don’t think the show gets better than when his character, Ben, is trading dialogue back and forth with John Locke), just what does he think of his role so far, the season 5 finale and the future/end of the Lost?
I think Emerson is completely right when he says the end of Lost will be bittersweet: It will truly be an end of an era, the end of a show unlike any other in terms of depth of mystery, storytelling and meaning. Not to sound too much like a “rah-rah” fanboy, but I really do think Lost is one of the greatest pieces of television ever conceived and I will be sad to see it go. I think when the final “LOST” title comes up on-screen I will then have to say to myself, “Well… what do I do now?”

.

[Warning: Some SPOILERS ahead]

However, having said that, I am very, very, very excited for what the writers have in store for us with how they’re going to bring Lost to a close. They have gotten us this far, with some some big risks being taken along the way (time-travel, moving the island, some of the survivors getting off the island two seasons before the end…), and I have every faith in them that they will bring the show to a satisfying conclusion. They’re not going to be able to please everyone and answer every single mystery they have created, but as long as they answer the big stuff – What is the smoke monster exactly? What is the nature of Jacob and the man in black? What the hell happened to the rest of the statue? – it will all be worthwhile.

[End of SPOILERS]

.

Are you still a fan of Lost? Do you think the show will have a satisfying ending?

The sixth and last season of Lost will premiere in early 2010.

Last year at the 2008 San Diego Comic-Con, the event was ruled by several big named movies that ranged from youthful vampires to illegal vigilantes. TV was more a side-note than anything else.

This year at the 2009 Comic-Con, things will be a bit different as television programming seems to have a bigger presence than last year.

For instance, the Warner Brothers Television Group will have 11 different panels for their shows. That’s a studio best for them. ABC Studios will have 7 panels. 20th Century Fox will have 9 panels.

Do you think your favorite television show will be represented?

Welcome to my weekly TV Wrap Up.

This week we’re chatting about the NCIS cast, Chuck season 3 insights, a bit of Fringe cast news and I ask a question about a character from Lost. I’m also going to touch on yet another alien invasion show from TNT. Also have some details on the DVD / Blu-ray release of season one of Lie To Me.

I wrap it up with my usual look at how shows did in the ratings from last week.

Let’s get on with it.

.

NCIS Spin-off Adds Cast

Linda Hunt will be joining the cast of the NCIS spin-off as a hard-nosed former film industry technician who oversees the “backroom” support staff.

Of note, Louise Lombard was let go from the staff, as the cast seems to be constantly evolving.

Is it me, or will we have a hard time getting past the ‘ghosts’ from Linda Hunt’s past?

.

Chuck Season 3 Tidbits

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Zachary Levi chats a bit about the upcoming third season of Chuck.

He talks about how folks are expecting “Orange Orange” to become a Subway and other ideas like that.

He also reminds us that next season is a 13-episode season, but if the ratings are good enough, NBC will add additional episodes. (That’s the part where it means “tell your friends.”)

Source: Entertainment Weekly

.

Fringe Cast Grows

Meghan Markle (Deal Or No Deal, 90210) is joining Fringe as a recurring role in the upcoming season. She’ll be playing a brash and quick-witted FBI agent.

Well, at least she’s moving up from briefcases duty and teen angst shows.

Not to mention, if I weren’t already watching Fringe… well you get the drift.

Source: Hollywood Reporter

.

Is Charlie Coming Back To Lost Or What?

What are the chances of Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) returning to the next season of Lost?

It depends on the rumors surrounding the ill-fated rocker.

He’s been seen having breakfast with showrunner Damon Lindelof. That could mean what? That two buds are having breakfast together? Or are they plotting the return of Charlie to the island in some form or fashion?

Your guess is as good as mine.

.

Lie To Me Season 1

The Blu-ray and DVD release of season 1 for Fox’s Lie To Me are due out on August 25th. The show is being released by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

The release will include 13 episodes, featurettes, deleted scenes and a gag reel. Here’s a listing of extras from both the Blu-ray and DVD packages:

The Blu-ray Bonus Features include

The Truth About Lies

Deleted Scenes

The DVD Bonus Disk includes:

The Lightman Group Lie Detection Tutorials

Play ALL

Intro

Anger

Contempt

Disgust

Noah Wyle, Steven Spielberg and Alien Invasions

Noah Wyle has been snagged to headline a yet-to-be-titled sci-fi show on TNT that will involve yet another alien invasion plot.

The storyline kicks in gear approximately 6 months after an insidious evil alien species invades the Earth and Wyle will be the leader of the human resistance.

I’m a little disappointed that this premise sounds so much like another upcoming show that starts with a V. I expected a bit more originality out of Spielberg.

I know that most of the shows mentioned are not of primary interest to the majority of Screen Rant readers, but we’re tossing them out there for everyone.

ABC of course stuck with their best rated scripted dramas of Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy.

If a show is shown as having been picked up, but does not show in the below list, that means it is debuting later on in the 2009-10 season.

Notes: The Bachelor will air Monday nights from 8:00-10:00 p.m. after Dancing with the Stars has its run. Scrubs and Better Off Ted will fill the 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. time slots.

The New Fall And Mid-Season Shows

The Deep End is a legal drama starring Matt Long, Ben Lawson, Billy Zane and Clancy Brown to name a few.

Is that a young Cylon Next to that Benton Fraser?

Eastwick is a TV version of The Witches of Eastwick starring Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price and Jamie Ray Newman. Of note, for the serious Due South fan, of which I am, Paul Gross will play Darryl Van Horne in Eastwick. Paul Gross used to play Constable Benton Fraser on Due South and now I may have a reason to watch this show. “Thank you kindly.”

Flash Forward is about a mysterious event that causes the entire world to black out, and during the black out, humanity is given a glimpse of its near future. Executive producers are David S. Goyer (co-writer of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight) and Brannon Braga (24, Star Trek: Enterprise) and stars Joseph Fiennes, John Cho & Jack Davenport to name a few.

The Forgotten is a police drama from executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Happy Town looks like a crime drama mystery. After a decade of peace this small town’s first crime since reveals dark truths about some familiar faces. From her short stint on Dollhouse, Amy Acker stars as Rachel Conroy. (Watch out! She’s a doll!)

V is the re-imagining of the 1980s miniseries about the world’s first encounter with an alien race with a seemingly friendly agenda.

The Comedies on the list are:

Cougar Town with Courteney Cox. (Oh hold me back.)

Hank with Kelsey Grammer. (I’ve enjoyed Grammer in the past. Maybe)

The Middle with Patricia Heaton. (Meh.)

Modern Family with Ed O’Neill. (I just don’t have the time folks.)

Dropped and Forgotten

Cupid has been sent back to where he came from, while maybe Dirty Sexy Money was just too blatant for the mouse network.

Eli Stone and In the Motherhood are also gone and there was not enough love left to keep Pushing Daisies around. The other casualties were Samantha Who? and The Unusuals.
