James Bond is Back in the First ‘Skyfall’ Trailer

As was promised with the unveiling of last week’s teaser poster for Skyfall, an actual trailer for the third movie featuring Daniel Craig as iconic secret agent 007 (in the 23rd James Bond film) is now online.

It turns out the first official theatrical promo for Skyfall is indeed the same cryptic teaser that screened at CinemaCon last month (at the time of writing this) – and the key words here really are “cryptic” and “teaser.”

The last time Craig graced the big screen as Bond, it was in 2008 with Quantum of Solace. Although that film is not considered the worst in the series, it also left many a longtime 007 fan grumbling; the effects of the writers strike – and director Marc Forster’s inexperience with staging action set pieces – were readily apparent in the final product (something even Craig ...

Duncan Jones to Direct Ian Fleming Biopic

It’s a good year to be a James Bond fan. Not only will the iconic secret agent be back on the big screen after a four-year absence (with Skyfall), but a biographical picture about Bond creator/author Ian Fleming is finally on the way.

Duncan Jones, the director of such sci-fi titles as Moon and Source Code, is onboard to helm the Fleming biopic. Currently, the filmmaker is casting the project – which is slated to begin production before the year’s end.

The last substantial report about an Ian Fleming biopic was over two years ago – when James McAvoy shot down the rumor that he was locked down to portray the man behind 007, in a $40 million adaptation of Andrew Lycett’s 1996 non-fiction book “Ian Fleming: The Man Behind James Bond.” Nonetheless, it’s always been ...

‘Skyfall’ Teaser Poster; Trailer Premieres Next Week

It’s the James Bond movie franchise’s 50th birthday – and to mark the occasion, the 23rd installment in the series, Skyfall, will arrive in theaters before the year is out. Daniel Craig is back for his third tour as 007, working this time with director Sam Mendes (after Martin Campbell on Casino Royale and Marc Forster on Quantum of Solace).

Sony/MGM has released an official teaser poster for Skyfall online. The studios will unleash the film’s teaser trailer online at the beginning of next week (look for it on Screen Rant), before most likely attaching it to prints of Men in Black III – which opens in theaters around the U.S. next Friday.

Most people must be feeling pretty jealous of the folks currently attending CinemaCon 2012, considering what they’ve been treated to in days past – including, an impressive Dark Knight Rises sizzle reel ripe with new footage and no less than ten minutes of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, screened in 3D and projected at 48 f.p.s. You can add a teaser trailer for Skyfall to the list of items inspiring envy in those not at the Con.

Sony is reportedly going to premiere the first footage from Skyfall (or, James Bond 23, if you prefer) in theaters when Men in Black III opens over Memorial Day Weekend next month. In honor of the release of the new comedy Think Like a Man, we at Screen Rant decided to create a list of eleven male movie characters that guys want to actually think like. In making the list, we followed two simple rules: the characters had to be male and they couldn’t be based on anyone in real life.

For each character we chose, we note the situations in which guys would want to think like these characters. As an example, we might not think like Jason Bourne (The Bourne Identity) in everyday life but if we were in a hand-to-hand combat situation, we would definitely want to think like him. James Bond is finally back this fall in… Skyfall, the twenty-third Bond film which is being directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty). Recently a handful of websites (not ours) were invited to the Skyfall set to see star Daniel Craig at work, and now materials from those visits are starting to make their way online.

Today we have a gallery of new Skyfall images to share, along with a new video of Craig, his onscreen foe Javier Bardem and new Bond girl Bérénice Marlohe all (vaguely) discussing the story, production, and high stakes of this new Bond flick.

Columbia Pictures/MGM has so far favored an ingenious marketing approach for the twenty-third installment in the James Bond franchise, Skyfall. Several featurettes and video blogs for 007′s anticipated return to theaters have trickled out over the past couple of months, so as to keep the film continually on the public’s radar. Yet, the movie’s various secrets and plot twists remain largely under wraps (not that we’re complaining, mind you).

While James Bond fans patiently await the release of an official trailer for this year’s 23rd installment in the iconic secret agent franchise (titled Skyfall), they have a new behind-the-scenes video blog to both help pass the time and tease actor Daniel Craig’s third lap around as the new iteration of 007.

Skyfall‘s Oscar-winning helmer Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road to Perdition) is the focus of this clip, which is mostly composed of an interview with the filmmaker expressing his interest in and longtime adoration of the Bond series – along with brief glimpses of scenes from the actual movie – including, the sequence where Bond infiltrates Shanghai, as teased in the first official Skyfall still.

James Bond (Daniel Craig) will facing dark secret’s of his boss M’s (Judi Dench) past in the 23rd James Bond flick, Skyfall, while a fair-skinned princess (Kristen Stewart) will team with a rough-and-rugged hunter (Chris Hemsworth) and his band of warrior dwarves to battle an evil sorceress (Charlize Theron) in Snow White and the Huntsman, the medieval fantasy re-imagining of the classic fairy tale.

Today we have new photos of Daniel Craig filming an action scene on the Skyfall set, as well as two new official SWATH (gotta love that acronym) images, which depict Theron’s evil queen doing a beauty check, as well as a first good look at the re-imagined version of Prince Charming, as portrayed by Pirates of the Caribbean 4 star Sam Claflin.

First ‘Skyfall’ Image: James Bond Infiltrates Shanghai

It’s the 50-year anniversary of the James Bond movie franchise, and with it comes the 23rd installment, titled Skyfall, a new adventure with the Daniel Craig incarnation of 007. Joining the actor this time around are numerous Oscar-winners and nominees, a younger version of Q, and two new snazzy Bond girls – all of whom are players in a mysterious plot that involves M’s (Judi Dench) dangerous past threatening the future of MI6.

Many Bond fans were confused (though several were definitely pleased) by a previously-released pic from Skyfall that features a half-naked Bond brooding poolside. Today, we have the first officially sanctioned image from the film, which captures Craig as 007 in more of an intimidating pose.

There is still a good deal of mystery surrounding the newest installment in the James Bond series, Skyfall, despite the basic plot line having already been revealed. However, actor Ralph Fiennes’ role remains perhaps the most intriguing puzzle piece that has yet to fall into place.

Rumors have long been circulating that Fiennes could be up to play iconic Bond antagonist Blofeld – or, rather, someone who is that character in all but name (for legal reasons). Similarly, there’s been speculation that Fiennes may be playing a figure from M’s (Judi Dench) past who is responsible for the MI6 being “under attack” and is somehow connected to the enigmatic villain being portrayed by Javier Bardem.

Since principal photography commenced on the (delayed) new Daniel Craig James Bond flick, Skyfall, the public’s attention has been focused foremost on the film’s production – and not on the matter of how many more Bond movies will feature Craig’s iteration of the iconic super-spy.

Increasingly-popular actors like Henry Cavill, Idris Elba, and Michael Fassbender have all expressed interest in picking up the Bond mantle once Craig’s run as the character is complete. However, according to a new report, franchise staple producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli want to keep Craig onboard for the next decade (or maybe even longer).

Martin Cambell may have let us down this summer with Green Lantern but there’s no debating his masterful job in rejuvenating the James Bond franchise with Daniel Craig as the new 007 in 2006′s Casino Royale. It not only earned the love of fans new and old with a grounded take on the British super spy, but it earned a sequel, one that wasn’t so well received.

Titled Quantum of Solace, the more action-focused sequel earned the same success at the box office as its predecessor, but it did not earn the same respect from fans and critics. As it turns out, star Daniel Craig wasn’t too fond of it either and promises better with his third outing: Skyfall.

‘Skyfall’ Set Pics: James Bond’s Rendezvous With Agent Eve

After many delays caused the MGM Studios bankruptcy, the next James Bond movie – entitled Skyfall - is currently in production. Up until now, images from the set of the film have included such exciting bits as dirty bathrooms and clapperboards. Today, however, we have a more substantial look at Skyfall to share.

If you haven’t been up on the developments with this latest Bond flick, here’s a brief synopsis of Skyfall:

Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
